This place has been there for years, though I don't know why after our experience. Part one: wall-to-wall carpet, including a flight of stairs. Great job. Fair pricing, courteous installers did a great job (once we finally got them scheduled.) Part two: Vinyl plank flooring. Great product, but installation TERRIBLE. Planks not staggered properly, moldings not undercut, huge gaps left in corners. Installer clearly stoned or otherwise "disengaged." Management acknowledged the problems, and corrected a quarter of them. Not a happy client here. read more

BUYERS BEWARE of Eddy's Flooring America and owner Howie Stein!!! Beyond Terrible! ZERO STARS! Howie gave us all the right buzz words and promised us the world, but he delivered nothing but excuses, delays (SIX MONTHS LATE just on the tile half of our project) and shoddy workmanship (we even had six 12 x 12 tiles fall off a section of our bathroom wall). We finally had to hire and pay another supplier and contractor to fix Howie's shoddy work and complete our project. After months of negotiations Howie / Eddy's Flooring America finally agreed to pay us a FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAR ($5,000) cash settlement but only if we agreed to their SECOND lawyer's DEMAND that we sign an 11 page document (including signature pages) filled with legalese and BIZARRE requirements like "from the beginning of the world to the world ends" [sic]. Typical of Howie, their documents contained NINE spelling errors (including misspelling Howie's own last name), five corporate name errors, one location error, numerous grammatical errors, the use of 'archaic and obscure' terms like ss. (scilicet) etc. Howie demanded that we absolve him and his wife, Eddy and his girlfriend, his brother Randy down in Florida, his installer Joe Ouellette down in Connecticut et al for everything "whether known or unknown, asserted or unasserted, contingent or accrued, discovered or undiscovered" and so on for 11 pages. If I could leave 0 stars I would. From the very beginning this process has been a disaster with Eddys Flooring America. We ordered the flooring materials in December 2020 for my new how that we would be moving into in January 2021. Eddy assured us that it would only take a few days to get the materials and there would not be any issues for installation. When we moved Eddy had not even ordered the materials yet. After two weeks the flooring was finally in and we were able to get started. The first installation went pretty smooth, or so I thought, but afterwords the transition piece and the boards around it were beginning to unlock due to the floor being not leveled between the kitchen and dining room. The amount to times I had to call in order for someone to fix this mistake was astronomical. I could never get a straight answer and at first Eddy told me that I had left over materials that they could use but quickly changed his response and said that there was none left. This resulted in waiting for another box to be ordered. After a month I called almost everyday to try and get someone to tell me where my order was, for Eddy to call me back, or figure out an installation date. At one point the receptionist screamed at me and told me that I needed to speak to Eddy directly and hung up on me. I couldn't believe it. In tears I finally was able to get Eddys cell phone number, to which he never apologized for the horrible customer service, or for taking so long to get back to me. We set up a day for this issue to be resolved and no one showed up during the scheduled time. I called them and was told that the installer got held up at another job. We rescheduled for two days later. Once again no one showed up and stated that they "tried calling me". However I had no missed calls and had service the entire time. A third date was scheduled and this time the installer put in a similar but different floor that was not the one that we had ordered. The installer even hid a white piece of flooring under my refrigerator. My floor is gray. After further examination I noticed they they tried to hide their bad cuts with heavy caulking and quarter rounds. Obviously I did not want to be stuck with a floor that might cause problems down the road. Eddy was hesitant to believe what I was saying about the wrong flooring being installed and I had offered to show him pictures or for him to come look himself. He refused. So yet again another box had to be ordered. Finally after a few weeks the box came in. The same installer came and apologized and claimed that "he was only doing what he was told to do". I couldn't even believe it. Finally, after SIX MONTHS of headaches, tears, and tons of phone calls the job is done. I would never recommend this place to anyone ever. This was the craziest and more horrible service I have ever encountered. We put in an order in the middle of December 2019. Before you start thinking "Covid"; this carpet was to be installed in 4-6 weeks. Putting us at end of January. No communication, excuses and broken promises is all that has happened over the last 6 1/2 months. Still not finished and installed! Then they have the audacity to send me an invoice of how much I still owe (on the part that they have not finished). I am done with them. We don't even want the carpet anymore. The amount of time and energy have spent on this for over half a year is ridiculous. I urge everyone to stay away from Eddy's Flooring!! Save your precious time, money and energy! read more

Their pricing was very competitive and in line with the quality of the products we selected. Their product knowledge and communication skills guided us to the perfect selections for our needs. The entire process of selection, delivery, and installation was flawless. Their installation team arrived on time, worked continuously, and exceeded our expectations in optimal on-time performance. I have no reservations of any kind in recommending Eddy's Flooring America to friends, family, and my brother and sister veterans. P.S. This company gives new meaning to the word "sheister"! We were given a low-balled quote, but when we order the first quarter, the price was half of the quote! It was the beginning of the pandemic, but we had already moved all furniture, and were living on the living room floor. Eddy could not give us any idea when an employee would ever come to install! So we found our own installer, who did a fabulous job. Each time we ordered more, we were lied to about when it would arrive. The last straw was when we needed 1 more carton, to complete the huge job. We were charged $50 for freight, when it came on the regular truck and took 3 weeks!!! Our installer called to inform me, and stated, "Don't ever do business with this company again!" Product was great, service was poor. STAY AWAY!!! read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Ordered carpet for stairs. They called a week later and said it was back ordered that it should be in in 2 weeks. One month from the date of purchase, they came to install. "Frankie" measured the stairs 3 times. Never wrote a thing down. Took 2 hours to measure 13 stairs. Came back 2 hours later and spent 6 hours installing the carpets. CRAPPY Job. He said he is the "BEST"/ I would hate to see the worst. We told him that the stairs were not done to our satisfaction. He ripped two stairs out and remeasured again 2 times and never wrote the measurements down. I asked him if he wanted to write the measurements down. OK. I gave him a pen and paper. He wrote the measurements down. Said he would order the supplies and "bind" them himself as the other binder didn't do the job to Frankie's style. He said he would be back in touch in 2 days to let us know when the carpet would be in. One month later we are left with 1 stair only with padding, 1 stair unevenly carpeted, and finally 1 stair (which is a landing ) half done. The carpet itself great but the installation was a disaster. For a fee, they will move furniture out of the room for the installation. I thought that was wonderful until I discovered the damage to the furniture. The wall-to-wall carpet is very irregular. I wondered if perhaps they didn't put padding under some sections or they did not remove old padding in those places before putting the new padding in. I called and someone came out to look at the situation. He agreed that it needed to be fixed for aesthetic purposes as well as because of the way it would wear. Installers came back but they did not fix it. I called again to request assistance in getting this situation resolved but, more than a year later, I still have a "conversation piece" in my family room! read more

I found out that Eddy's needs to keep their prices so low to make up for their terrible customer service. They were quick to get back to us to collect our payment but it was a different story when we asked for repairs. After three weeks they were nice enough to send Howie out to take a look at our complaints. He was nice enough to explain to my wife, "Sweetheart these are minor issues." They wouldn't be issues at all if your guys took the time to remove all of the old carpet from under the new. Just pure shoddy work. When another installer came out from Eddy's, he too was curious why things were left the way they were. Three weeks to get an installer to do 30 mins of repair work. Thank you Howie and Todd, we were smart enough not to make the same mistake twice and had someone else install are hardwoods. Less than 1 star.. HORRIFIC!! Stay away.....Bought carpeting and laminate from them. Eddy measured all wrong. The installer showed up and I swear he was drunk or something he fell through the glass door bled all over the place I call bruce and he just blew me off.Told me someone will be over to install everything..Took them 3 mos. And its still not right... Do yourself a favor STAY AWAY FROM EDDYS!!!! I wish I had read more

I did my living room and dinning floors over. I took out the carpet and we wanted a laminate put in for our dogs. I got three prices one from Luna, one from a handyman and one from Eddy's. Eddy's was the highest price but I went with them any way because they were local. The install and the product were great floor looks amazing but the installer could not put in the threshold piece under my door becasue the door needed to be trimmed. He said to cut the door and call Bruce and he would get right back out there. Well a month later and still no Eddy's installer. Turns out that the installer was in Florida and Bruce the one who does the scheduling failed to tell me this or get another person out to my home. I finally got an installer out to put the last piece in and it looks great except the door never needed to be cut and I now have a 1/2" gap between my new floor and the bottom of my door because I cut the door per their instructions. They will not be doing the floors in my kitchen or the carpets in the bedrooms.... read more

Ordered a hardwood floor for our living room and the dining room. The initial visit to the showroom was very positive and we had a good experience with the estimator. Our experience with their installation services is definitely problematic and disappointing. First, they didn't deliver the wood on the date as scheduled. This resulted in our first installation date needing to be canceled. The wood was delivered as promised on the second date but they didn't tear up the old carpeting (as paid for). So the installer showed up and can't install the wood floor. When we called Eddy's to find out what is going on, they didn't seem to care that they have screwed up. Instead of getting back out in a timely manner (like maybe that day) to rectify the situation, we have to wait until the end of the week to have the work done. So we will have to live with moved furniture and unusable rooms for the rest of this week while we wait for them to get their act together. read more

I had Eddy's install carpet, tile, and hardwood in my new home. NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN. Not one of the surfaces was done right. Nine months later, he is about (I hope) to finally tear up all the hardwood and do it right the second time! Tile uneven, carpet a mess--all had to be redone.
