This place is so good. Ambiance is perfect. You enter to a pick you poison kind of situation. Do you want to be cozy comfy, or do you want the biergarten? Two completely different spaces. I, of course, chose cozy comfy. I'm a sucker for a big comfy couch at a place that has board games and hot food. So we found a nice little corner, settled in, pulled out the games, and started ordering. Service was excellent. There were some very helpful servers that checked in on us at the perfect frequency. Not absent, not hovering. So the drinks kept flowing all day long. Speaking of drinks, my girlfriend was pleased with their beer selection. I was pleased that they had a few cans of NA beer/cider. And they were pretty good! The Orlando area is finally catching up with the rest of the world and starting to show up with some good NA options. This was my first time visiting Eden Abbey. There is parking in front and to the sides of the building. We got there right before opening (noon) so we were able to park right out front. The road (S Highland St.) can be busy. There are adjacent parking lots across the streets in front and on the brewery side (Liberty Ave and S Highland St.). It seems easier to park there and can help make entering the roadway much easier. Kat took care of us. She answered any questions we had. She was knowledgeable about the menu and even made food and drink recommendations. We had shareable appetizers and also ordered individual meals. I sampled the Kettle Chips and the Abbey Nachos. The Kettle Chips were absolutely delicious. They wee fresh and beautifully seasoned. I ordered the Sanctum Steak & Egg from the Brunch menu. Brunch is available Saturday and Sunday from 12-4pm. Side options included Tater Tots or Fruit. I opted for the Tater Tots. The Sanctum Steak & Egg was assembled on a Brioche Bun with a generous serving of Bellringer Aioli. The sandwich was flavorful and very filling. The Tater Tots too were fresh and perfectly seasoned. They were hot, crispy and delicious. I indulged in the Lavender Dream Drop seasonal cocktail. My only complaint was that the glass it was served in was not big enough. There was a good balance and taste of the vodka, lemon juice and housemade lavender syrup. I would definitely return to Eden Abbey for a few repeat flavors and an opportunity to try other menu items. I inadvertently and accidentally deleted the food pics! Second time back and what an amazing time! Going at 2 on a Saturday was the perfect time to nearly have the dining area to ourselves for a special party we had for my friend. The food is great. I love the brewery that is connected to the restaurant yet separated and the service was amazing. I came with a group of about 10 women for a brunch and they were able to keep up with us in our shenanigans after we were done some of us, stumbled over to the brewery and enjoyed that service and offerings as well. They have a small parking lot out front, but plenty of street parking on the side this place is great and I can't wait to visit again. They have a bar area, inside seating and a beer garden. Part of the beer garden is under cover so it worked for us. There were Thursday specials and the beer menu could be viewed through a code on your phone. Our server quickly took our drink order, which for me was the $5 margarita special. The menu has interesting choices of a variety of empanadas, salads, burgers, bowls, entrees and sandwiches. I opted for a bowl with Mac and cheese and beef. 5 Stars, in short: Great burgers, great service, fun atmosphere My wife suggested Eden Abbey BC because she had popped in after a business visit to Mt Dora, and specifically mentioned the burgers to me afterwards. On my first visit, we stopped in on a busy Friday night. Seating at the high top community tables, in the less formal pub area where the in-house brew taps reside, was easy to find. And the patrons are friendly, as we found out in conversations about family and the band. Pretzel Bites with housemade beer cheese started off my night with an enjoyable warm spicy kick. My wife ordered the Abbey Burger and I chose the Funguy Burger. The three beef blend (cooked "pink") combined with the grilled mushrooms, peppers, and onions and topped with the Bellringer Aioli made for a mouthwatering burger, that I finished all too soon. Our sides of Caesar salads were a nice complement to the meal. The beer: I looked over the 12 in-house brews and decided on a 4 oz pour of the Abbey Peppermint Mocha Sour. The flavors worked together, but for me, the 4 oz was more than enough. Service was quick, friendly and helpful. The live music featured classics from the 70's. A more traditional dining area and beer garden are also available for dining, away from the beer taps and the music. Checked out Eden Abbey for the first time yesterday for brunch. It has a really unique, eclectic atmosphere that sets a great mood. Our server, Cat, was a standout. Super welcoming, incredibly attentive, and made us feel right at home from the jump. We split the pretzels with beer cheese, nachos, and kettle chips. The chips were the undisputed winner of the table! I went with the cheeseburger. It was nicely cooked, juicy, and packed a ton of flavor. Highly recommend the "Lime on the Coconut" cocktail. We stopped in for a few beers and dinner before a show at the Mt. Dora Music Hall. It was a Saturday afternoon and I assumed this place would be slammed, which it was not. We were able to grab a table for 5 and start ordering beers right away, awesome! Staff were super friendly and let us sample some of the drafts before making a decision. I went with the 10oz Bellringer ($8) to start then selected the 16oz Abbott ESB ($7) for my second beer. Both beers were delicious. We ordered a round of appetizers for the table - Jalapeno Poppers, Pretzel Bites, And tater tots all cost about $8 each. We weren't too impressed with the pretzel bites but the jalapeno poppers and tots were really good. For my main course I went with the Abby cheesy Mac ($8) with the what's your beef topping ($7) and Nancy chose the Side salad ($8). Our food arrived in about 20 minutes. My meal was good but the portion size was small. The salad was also small and there was literally only one raspberry in the bowl. My buddy ordered a bowl as well but his was stacked full, probably because he ordered rice and topped it with chicken al pastor versus the brisket and beef mix. Our other friend ordered a wrap which looked good and more filling. If I were to eat here again I would probably go for the burger, sandwich, or wrap because they looked great and would be more filling. No offense but I don't go out to eat to leave hungry, just saying. The brewery is beautifully decorated and kept clean. The staff were great all around and took wonderful care of our group. Food prices are on average with any other restaurants or pubs offering like items. The big win for me is they offer smaller 4oz beers for about $3. I like that they provide this option because my wife wont drink a whole 16oz beer, the smaller size option opens the door to people who like craft beer but don't drink a lot and still want to partake in the fun. read more

This place hits on so many levels, but fails miserably on whisky selection. They have a lot of beer, but only have one Scotch and one Irish whisky (and not a good one) at any given time. Even though I am not in the Mount Dora area often, I feel like Eden Abbey is a hidden gem! It is basically a brewery / restaurant / beer garden that is located a few blocks away from downtown Mount Dora. This is an excellent location as it means that there is actually dedicated parking as opposed to street parking. As far as beer goes, I loved the four non blondes as I enjoy a light refreshing ale. I was also quite surprised by the high quality of the food as the Fuego burger topped with jalapeño poppers was delicious. There was also a relaxed atmosphere with great quality service. If you love craft beer, this is a must go! I had the most incredible chocolate dunkle and hazy IPA! The atmosphere is really cute. There is an adorable beer garden in the back. We went here on a Saturday around 3:45 - we sat in the tap room section. It is a pretty large spot with multiple areas to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The place was not busy at all when we arrived but by the time we left at 5:30 it was filling up quickly. We had the hazy beer and peppermint mocha sour. Beer was great. I had the Bellringer which I thought very tasty, bold and smooth. I accompanied that with an order of garlic honey wings. The wings were a little unexpected, but very tasty. The sweetness of the honey blended well with the mild diced garlic. Served with dressing and celery. I sat at the bar, so the service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious and the beer is awesome. We had the Kahlúa empanada, rice bowl, and a burger. What was lacking is the service, we had two different servers and one did not check to see if our food was being prepared and they said they had put the ticket in, but the kitchen missed it. We ended up waiting 40 minutes for our food, which was disappointing because we were on a time crunch because a guest in our party had to go to work that late afternoon. It was our first visit here. I'm hoping that that is not a regular occurrence- waiting 40 minutes for food. They did take the beers and empanada off the bill for this inconvenience. Which is appreciated. If you are circling around Mount Dora doing some antique shopping I highly recommend stopping here. Normally I'm not into brew hubs however, this one has a decent selection of beer on tap and food to choose from that wasn't your standard bar fair. If you scan the barcode, you can see all of the beer on top however, there is a bar menu that also has a detailed list of the beers that they serve. I chose the two chocolate beers because those are always the ones that intrigue me the most the chocolate coffee was the best one out of the two I had a buffalo chicken wrap with a kettle chips. The kettle chips warehouse made with a interesting seasoning on them almost like a ranch type flavor. There's two rooms to choose from when you're sitting you can sit by the bar area or you can sit in the main dining room. We chose the bar area because we like the idea of a high top table. Our server was extremely helpful and she gave all her favorite choices on the menu to order if I'm in the area again I would definitely stop back. 4.6 out of 5 read more

Stopped in for a quick drink while exploring down town to get out of the heat. Our server was amazing, he gave us a ton of suggestions as we were visiting from out of town. He made a custom mock tail which was delicious and refreshing as it was extremely hot and sunny out. Set a bit away from the old downtown, Eden Abbey is a great side jaunt. Their specialty is more in Abbey style beer (Trappist ales without the need ot be a Trappist), although I enjoyed other styles. Service was excellent and the bartender was great in his knowledge of their beers and beer styles. It was a great conversation to have. The atmosphere feels a lot like an Abbey (see also "Black Abbey Brewery" in Nashville?) inside with a nice porch area and some other eating areas in the restaurant side of the building. I did not have a smash burger, so I can dispute another reviewer, but I did have one of their salads, which was nicely done. I would not call the food upscale necessarily, but they do have a bit of a chef's feel to them. Beer was the shining moment. A band came in as I was about to leave, so they do have music on some nights (assume weekend only). I will return at some point, as I have friends near this area. read more

Decided to stop by Eden Abbey while visiting the Mt Dora Arts Festival. When we walked in we were greeted by the owner and other staff members that walked us through the layout and how things worked. The place is very nice offering indoor seating near the bar or outside in the Beer Garden. There were good beer options. We had the Blonde Ales which were pretty good. The food was excellent. Found this awesome brew pub in Mount Dora. It's a few blocks from the downtown area. They have beers they brewed, some yummy sounding seasonal cocktails and food. We had 2 flights and empanadas and a build your bowl. We chose tots with pork. Very interesting set up. They have a taproom with communal tables and they have live music on weekends. They also have an outdoor beer garden and a dining area that has a coffee house vibe-quieter with tabies, couches for conversation. Definite return trip with friends is in our future. read more

Please learn what a smash burger is if you are going to label or name your burger to be a Smash Burger. I will say It was juicy, I'll give it that. But the cheese wasn't even melted! Love small businesses, and especially local breweries! Came here for some drinks with my s/o and his dad when we did a little day trip to Mount Dora, and had a wonderful time.
