I sat at the bar and watched the bartender chat with every single person at the bar in a most genuine and friendly way. The couple next to me actually knew him by name and he also knew them by name... so that's a very important quality for me! I ordered this French dip style sandwich, very generously accompanied with French fries. As I was attending the Film Festival across the street at the Ritz, I wasn't able to drink alcohol, but the drinks looked really good! Ambiance-wise: this is a very fun and open-spaced bar. I sat at the bar but there were picnic tables behind me (indoor). It was lovely and very well lit. When I walked outside, I felt very safe. We enjoyed a quick Saturday night dinner at Dee's Brothers Brewery! The food was delicious, the service was fast, and the staff members were nice. We enjoyed being able to sit outside. The only downfall is that they were out of a lot of things and their menu online doesn't reflect what it actually is. I have been here before and I surprisingly didn't review it. Luckily, I visited one lazy afternoon when not much was going on until the bingo lady came in. Yep, I landed here on bingo night! I have played bingo in high school, it's really not my thing, but I figured I could support this brewery by staying a little longer, getting another round of beers, and playing bingo. The beers were good, so why not hang for a little longer? As the evening unraveled, the fun began. I not only won several prizes at the bingo table, I also beat another competing couple from across the bar. I actually crushed them to the point where they got a bit sour. I guess the last draw was when I won the gift card, idk. The staff here is super nice, and they really made my visit way beyond fun (for a Tuesday). The bingo lady is amazing as well, and this really should be a destination for bingo. The beers are good, not world class, but if they were world class this place would be packed. The Mother's Day AYCE brunch was OK. The service was GREAT but the vegan offerings were slim even though they advertised that it would be enough. There was only the vegan egg, chorizo, pancake and muffin. The salads were premade and one had dairy cheese mix in. I wish it had been a salad bar so I could've made it myself. One of the servers brought me a plated salad but it was doused in too much oily dressing. I didn't send it back as she went to a lot of trouble. The make your own taco bar only had a few things that I would use. Things that were vegan, like the crema and the cheese weren't labeled as vegan. I brought this to their attention and they fixed it immediately. The one really yummy item was brought out from the kitchen and not available to everyone--a vegan gf brownie and vegan ice cream. I got plenty to eat and an orange juice however, now that I know what they serve, I will not return. It was a long drive from my home on the ocean in New Smyrna Beach for food that wasn't spectacular. read more

If I could put no stars, I would. We came here to have some food before a concert we were attending up the road & I ordered the Veggie Flatbread & vegan mac & cheese. Ordered my food & told them, "No red onions please. I'm allergic to onions." They were extremely busy & I'll give SOME leeway for that which is why we waited as long as we did with no complaints. I'm honestly very forgiving in situations like these when there's a city event going on. Waits are to be expected & fine. So we waited. Had a couple of beers. Food came out. I looked at the server (Lacey) & said, "No onions, right?" She confirmed there were no onions. I ate the veggie mac & cheese which was good (there's the one star to my review I suppose). I went to take a piece of my flatbread & there was a long onion strand that slid off of it under the cheese. Upon further inspection, there were onions all over the flatbread under the cheese & cucumbers. My husband took my plate back to the bar to get a refund because our time was running short & we couldn't wait again for them to remake it. Lacey came over to process the refund on her handheld device. I told her that it was a good thing I looked because I had an onion allergy & it would've been a WHOLE lot worse of a situation had I bit into the flatbread. She made the excuse that they were extremely busy & they probably saw "no red onions" & put white ones on there instead. I asked why they would do that because the menu didn't say one thing about "white onions" being a part of the flatbread & for someone like myself who has a food allergy, that could be extremely dangerous. She reiterated that they were really busy & she didn't know what was going on in the kitchen. I offered the advice that she may want to let her manager know what happened & that's when she told me she was one of the managers. Lacey didn't offer ONE single apology. Basically, just told me to get bent because they were busy today. Let's me know they don't really need my patronage at all & I was super polite about everything because I knew they were busy. This visit for me was five stars, perfect location just coming from Sanford airport 10 min, looking for beer and this fit the bill. Oh and Don't let me get started on the Hot nuts, these things for me we're like heaven. I think I was a hot nut boiled nut virgin, oh and the way to go these things were boiled in beef and pork, served with that juice some of the meat all together, this little bowl of hot nut goodness. Yum yum. And my hot Italian beef sandwich was five stars also, with the sport peppers and bowl of au jus, so tasty l even added a little beef juice from my nuts. Loved this place, go get the nuts. Cool place! Great beer. Super friendly service. Food is good, not awesome. A little weird having to grab a menu when you come in and order at the "Order Here" stand for both your beer and food. I have seen that maybe at least one other time, but that place was huge. This place is very small in comparison, but I actually appreciate the labor savings. I found this brewery while antiquing in Sanford and what an incredible find! My husband ordered the hazy beer and I tried both sours and we loved them! I came to Sanford Florida expecting some if the same, and instead I found a new love in Dees Bothers Brewery.  Wops Hops is my first love in Sanford, but Dee's bros will from today forward also have a very special place in my heart. Some of the things I like about Dee's Bros: off the main road, wide variety of great craft beers, plenty of space in the brewery/tap room, delicious food, and fantastic service.  When I first came in I commented on how may of their house brews that had, well over 20 and the beertender said, [duh] "we are a brewery." This is the real macoy, and from their beer offerings I can tell whoever is brewing has a passion for it. The BEER: Bitter Belgian golden strong Ale 7.9% ABV... IBUs are up there for this very unique Belgian, a better version of Unholy from that brewery in Tampa (the name we dare not say) Event Horizon milk Stout 5.2% ABV... smooth with slight hints of coffee and vanilla Dee's Bier Hefeweizen 5.6% ABV... a little boozy for a hefe, but quite nice and delicious.  For me it was closer to a Belgian, and yes I know they have similar flavor profiles, but... the boozyness was why Hipster Potion#4 Hazy IPA 7% ABV... Slightly sweet, citrus, orange zest and quite juicy... THIS IS AWESOME! Brewtality Black IPA 8% ABV... decent black IPA, but for me something isn't working, maybe it's the IBUs (80) wanted to love it, but did like it V3 Vivaciously Vindictive Vindicator Imperial rye IPA 9.5% ABV... OMG Wow how wonderfully delicious this is.  Orange zest and ummm, honey orange blossom, jasmine tea, I don't know exactly what makes this wonderfully great, but it really is a WINNER! Dead on Arrival Imperial Stout 8.4% ABV... like a deep dark black cup of delicious coffee, but it's beer and that is better Aquadnauts Belgian dark strong Ale 9.3% ABV... slightly boozy, almost a quad, but the moth feel isn't quite as thick. Could drink this all day; well, maybe not all day, if I want to walk and actually communicate There are so many wonderful things going on in here, including lives music and fantastic beer.  Don't take my word for it.  Come see for yourself. read more

First time at Dees. We were pleasantly greeted by Mike the bar tender. Had a tasting of a Belgian beer they brew. Ordered the Belgian beer after the tasting. What a wonderful tasting Belgian beer. Ordered their Italian Beef sandwich . Really great tasting beef with potato chips. Had very good tasty au just on the side. Beef was thinly sliced and on a French roll. Was very tasty and tender as were the chips. Sat at comfortable high top in bar area. You can also view the brew area from the restraunt area. We were visiting family for my 47th Birthday and decided to hit up Sanford, FL for a day of day drinking. The first time I've visited the area and we started here as our first brewery and a place to get food. The food menu was overwhelming at first for me, but I found something that worked for me. I ordered a list of 4 beers to sample what they had to offer before I chose a beer that I would enjoy to drink. This brewery had a lot of vibrant energy happening from all of the staff members. The bartender with the vibrant sideburns had an incredible energy to all of his customers including myself. That you don't find all of the time, this guy rocked. Anyone seeking a welcoming spot to sample unique craft beer in a laid-back atmosphere. From the moment you step through the doors, it's clear that Dee's is more than just a brewery - it's a destination for those who appreciate the art and science of brewing. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the beer. I tried four beers from the Hipster Potion (Hazy IPA-Hopts: Galaxy, Citra, Mosaic, & Amarillo at 7% ABV had a juice taste to it, very good on the palate. Radler (later sparkling lemonade) ABV of 4% what my wife wanted to sample, and the Vivaciously Vindictive Vidicator an imperial rye IPA probably was my favorite but it was 11% ABV, it had some ass on it but good to have. When you order, you can start a tab, get your food and beer orders in. They will check on you to see if you're seeking anymore drinks. They're good at making sure you have a refill before you're empty. If you find yourself in Sanford and appreciate the craft beer scene, Dee's Brewery is a must-visit. The combination of exceptional brews, friendly staff, and a welcoming ambiance makes this brewery stand out. The location and setup are very inviting and pleasant, especially on a sunny day. The bartenders were attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations. The beer was the best, though, with lots of options and variety. My wife lived the plethora of vegetarian options, and very dish we tried was very good. The "Merry Men's" was maybe one of the best porters I have had, very refreshing with clean drinkability. The "Triple V" has highly complex character with a palate-wrecking 136 IBU's! Had a decent selection of food and beer, offered a military discount, and had a self serve water station. I got the Fruit Cake beer, which was a neat concept, because you're supposed to mix it with the beer from WOPS HOPS down the block to get the full experience! They have board games as well as some old school arcade games available to play and a brand new beer garden on the side of the building.
