My partner lives around here and frequently stops by the shop next door. Since stopping I decided to take a peak at Eden Beauty Supply. A very sweet korean lady welcomed me in, I knew I just wanted to purchase hair oil and she directed me no issues the store isn't huge but I found it less overstimulating than some of the other beauty supplies i've been to, the shelves are stocked with all kinds of essentials whether it be for hair, braiding or other beauty products I would definitely recommend coming here, my next re- up on my curly hair products will be from here. Has a good selection but had a frustrating experience here. I went in today and I was taking a look at their inventory of wigs. I was looking for something for Halloween and I needed time to make my choice. I was there for less than 20 minutes. When one of the associates told me that I was taking too long and I needed to hurry up when picking my wig. Melodi is amazing! I'm not from the area, and found this place on Yelp. Was going in just to see what they have, and I found the cutest wig! It's an asymmetrical bob, ombré blonde/pastel pink with dark roots. The lower angle was a bit too long for me, so right there in the shop Melodi cut, styled, and layered the wig to my liking and was still helping other people find things and giving advice to customers on wig choice. BUYER BE WARE AND BEAWARE I purchased a 22 inch pony tail that was absolutely unwearable, frizzed as soon I attempted to put it on. Took it back immediately and showed it to the owner. I asked for a store credit. He verified the date of the purchase and offered 1/2 my money back :?/ I didn't wear it, that would have been an embarrassment; had all the original packaging etc. He said give me your info, I will call the manufacturer about this and call you back. I have not heard from him. I have been patronizing this business for many years, not any more. Great beauty spot! I wanted to get some clip in extensions and I went to the right place! The young lady who helped me was super friendly and knowledgable and hooked me up with a great set. I also got a bunch of other random supplies, which were all priced very well! My favorite was a mascara that was $3.99 that she recommended and I've fallen in love with it! DO NOT SHOP HERE AND DO NOT PAY CASH! This company is fraudulent and they have a "no refund policy". They hide behind the nice black cashiers they have but don't trust them because as soon as there is an issue, the true people running the business come out. They gave me and my sister two different types of hair and we obviously wanted two bundles of the same hair. When we came back, they refused to give us a refund even though they admitted that they gave us the wrong hair. At first they tried to claim that I brought back the hair from somewhere else despite the fact that the original packing and tag they gave me was still intact but also the type of hair isn't sold anywhere else in a 30-mile radius. The customer service is terrible and they are disrespectful. They (we all know who) come into black communities and do not treat black people how they should be and they definitely would never get away with doing business like this in a more upscale area. I am disputing my claim with them on my credit card and that's the only way I can get the refund I deserve. Do not pay cash because you if you do then you would give them the power to deny you a refund despite them giving you the wrong product. My professional hairstylist told me the hair was different and there was no way she could use it. As you can see in the picture below, one is a tight-curly texture and one is a wavy texture that they tried to pass off as the same. Super shady! I highly recommend going to a black-owned beauty supply. There is one called "The Girl Cave" and they have one on Manchester and Compton. They treat you with respect and practice fair business and actually know how to help you and what your hair needs unlike these people. If you do go here, don't pay cash and check everything they give you. Take pictures and document everything because they are extremely shady. read more

She gave me 20% off and three bullshit ass tiny samples for curly hair when my hair was clearly braided. I walked back in the store and gave them right back to her. Bullshit. Spent $70 last time and won't ever come back. Do not cheat on your beauty supply store. Just not worth it. Also. Their selection is old and withered. They offer a lot of good products for both Caucasian and ethnic hair. They offer all the high quality ethnic products which is what I like, products like Mizani. Their wig selection is great, and the staff is amazingly helpful and will make sure to stay a few minutes late if you want to run in real quick and you know exactly what you want. I love this place. The staff are always so helpful and give great tips. My first time going in, I joined the membership program that they have. I really didn't think much of the membership thing until they called me for my birthday. I LOVED that!! I felt so special. Quite possibly the largest variety/selection of Creative Image Adore semi perm hair dye I've seen so far (periwinkle is sometimes hard to find but this place carries it). I bought 2 packages of their wavy 18' and 22' inch hair and paid 350 per package of their remy human hair and after only 3 weeks the hair became a knotted mess. Do not buy their expensive hair they will not replace the hair or refund your money their hair is not real as they claim. It is mixed with synthetic hair and will go bad after a month. I feel bad for giving them 3 stars because the workers were so nice to me, but the selection was so trash. I'm from NY so maybe I'm not used to the beauty supply stores out here, but they don't have quality hair products for girls with natural hair, there's not a huge variety of crochet/braiding hair selection, and I nearly stumbled over a box. The people who worked there were super sweet and I'm not used to that, but again I think the quality of their products are not up to par of what I'm used to. I didn't see kinky curly, or carols daughter. I guess this Rasta fari hair is the brand used out here. I needed the hair last minute, but next time I'm just ordering online.
