I like this beauty supply but a currently disappointed about my visit yesterday. I went in to repurchase a wig that I just bought two weeks ago & after debating if I wanted to get a burgundy wig or black with the seller I decided black was best for my personal life right now with school etc. I planned to do my wig early in morning and wanted to pluck my wig tonight for a fast install before class. I purchased around 3~4pm and left without my receipt because I didn't expect any issues just for me to open my box at 11:45pm to start plucking and the wig is TTH/Butter Scotch and not color 2 as I requested and told I was purchasing so now I'm stuck between doing my hair this way or attempting to exchange later but now my hair won't be done ! This was my second time purchasing a wig at this location and this is genuinely a big inconvenience to my agenda! It's a simple mistake but wigs should be shown every time to the customer to make sure they're getting what they requested and told! Update: I went in the next morning and the same seller who I believe is the manager/owner took care of replacing the wig with no problem. They didn't have black so I took the burgundy instead but it still worked out! read more

I took my braids down and wanted a new wig to hold me over til my next braid appointment. I found Remi Beauty on Yelp looking for a beauty supply that was open til 8pm. I generally try to stick with black owned beauty supplies for obvious reasons. Walked in and was not greeted by the man behind the counter, immediate points off for that but anyhoo. Went around to the wig side and was greeted by a pleasant young black lady. She was knowledgeable, kind, patient and gave great insite to my personal hair situation which is what was needed. Remi Beauty has a wide selection of wigs, there's something for everyone. As long as there's someone working there who looks like me and can relate to MY haircare I'd definitely be back. read more

I picked up a synthetic wig for halloween here, they have a great selection and the staff were really knowledgable. The only downside was that the wig itself was pretty thin after one wear (which is to be expected for the price). They wouldn't give me prices over the phone which made me feel a little like they were going to make up a price when I arrived based on what they felt I could afford. I haven't really heard of this kind of policy before, but their prices were okay when I got there (I paid about $45 for an 16" synthetic wig), and they had a pretty wide range of colors, styles and textures. I come here all the time. Here are a few quick reasons of why I like REMI: 1. They never follow me around the store like other beauty supplies I've visited. If a place does that I leave and never return. 2. Their prices are very competitive. I price check while I'm there on Amazon and the product's home website. A lot of times their prices are $1 to $3 less. 3. Very helpful and always friendly. Some beauty supplies hardly even speak when you arrive at the check-out counter. That's when I tell them no thank-you, I will not be purchasing these items (offer to put the items back. They always say no), and leave. But I never get that type of attitude at REMI. I never go anywhere else unless they do not carry something or if I must purchase something on a Sunday. I mean who has time to be followed and treated like the plague. But they want this plague's money. I wish people would stop complaining about how a lot of these beauty supply owners are racist, follow you, treat you like "common folks" at check-out. This is a big beauty supply they have a huge selection of trendy synthetic wigs. The human hair is large as well with a big selection of brands. They even have some old school brands I haven't seen in any other supplies thus far. The staff is mixed,Asian,black, Hispanic, I like that. Interacting with the staff and owner was pleasant. They don't follow you around the store and make you feel uncomfortable. I also was able to find a color here I couldn't find in any other beauty supplies I have gone in Tintation, Jazzing, Bigen,. I have to say this is my favorite supply so far besides again hiding the cosmo, barber and student advertising so I give them a 2. read more

bought aunt jackies and an afro pick here...I walked across the mcdonald's, eating my ice cream I read the ingredients and was sad and decided I wanted to return it, i am searching for something more natural with no alcohol or water. so, 21 min later I go to the supply to return but store credit only. no problem :) but she didnt initially want to give me anything. young lady mentioned that it was opened and seal was off...I was sure I did not open this product, I go to the Aisle and open all the aunt Jackie's product and all are unsealed, and had an interesting pattern...I would never buy product here! also I wont shop high, I was too relaxed and should have noticed the ingredients before and the fact it wasnt sealed and probably refilled with anything they have in the back... read more

I can't believe I am actually taking the time to write a nice review. I am actually annoyed with myself for passing this place up so many times. First of all, the prices are AMAZING! I was able to purchase my go to hair products for $7 CHEAPER than the original $20 retail value! Unbelievable! The owner, Angela, is so helpful! She knows everything about the products and even provides tips and tricks on how to preserve its use, so you won't have to run back and buy more so often! They also offer a lot of low priced trial sized products and free samples so you can test out the product before you decide to make a staple purchase. I've never had such an informative, cost saving and welcoming experience at a beauty supply store until I visited here. I live about 11 - 12 minutes away and I most definitely do not mind passing up the 4 beauty supplies closest to me in order to come here! P.S. it's black owned. read more

I've been coming to this place for a few years now - I believe they opened up 3 or 4 years ago at this location. They are always friendly and willing to show me a new wig. They don't follow me around the store or make me feel like I'm walking on eggshells as I'm looking around. Great customer service in my book! I've been here twice. I needed a wig for a costume and There are a lot of hair and wig stores in the area. I chose this one because i new they had a large selection and because the parking was super easy. My first visit i spent a good amount of time looking for the right wig. I needed a sixties style bob with a wispy bang. Picked it out got it home and it was the wrong wig. Like four inches shorter, asymmetrical style. Completely the wrong thing. Now i know it's gonna be an argument to get my money back, and one i won't win, so i accepted the loss, I'll use it for something else. But I still need the 60s bob with wispy bang. So I go back to buy a serving wig. Once there, I tell them what happened. They're treating me like I'm going to steal something. I even said "Iknow you Can't sell it once it's open, so you have to be more careful." to let them know I'm not trying to get anything from him. I pick out a new wig. I'm up there paying for a second wig from this ass hat who is acting like he can't see me. Finally I said, "You can't acknowledge this? You don't think you should at least apologize? He made excuses, started being super defensive, talking abt how he didn't know what happened or who did it. One step from calling me a liar. I said what difference does that make who sold the wrong wig. This is your store, I'm your customer. "Well i don't know what happened" "i just told you what happened" at this point the second owner starts trying to get him to apologize and he flat refuses. I'm done.
