Located in small plaza, right next to a cleaners (plaza is in front of Lowe's)

Came by Eden East Bar this afternoon around 1:45 pm with my husband to meet a friend of mine to catch the football game (Detroit Lions vs Green Bay Packers). I am surprised that there are just a small number of reviews for this bar (at the time of this review) so I really didn't know what to expect. But I surprisingly enjoyed my time here. This bar is located in a small plaza with Del Taco and Sushi Takumi, specifically located next to a cleaners. (This small plaza is also in front of the Lowe's plaza) Although I think the parking lot seems kind of on the smaller side, I honestly do not see this plaza becoming too busy because of the limited number of businesses that reside here. Anyways, this bar is pretty small and dinky. I think the size of this bar is probably the size of a large family room of someone's house. There are some tables and some high top tables and of course bar stools at the bar as well. There is about 5 or 6 TVs, each of which were playing different football games. My friend being a huge Lion's fan, we sat in front of the flat screen playing that game. Now one thing I have to mention about this bar is that no food is served here, just alcohol (a few beers on tap and the rest in bottles). You are welcomed to bring in your own food though. This bar is also a Detroit Lion's bar with plenty of fan collector items displayed proudly on the four walls of this place. There is even an autographed napkin on one side of the wall of a player from the Detroit Lion's team (did not see the name of the player). When we arrived to catch the game this afternoon, the owner actually ordered a huge pizza from Aloha Pizza and brought it in for the locals coming to watch the game. From what my friend said, she is a regular here, the owner will often times bring in pizza throughout the football season which I think is very nice. The vibe of this bar is actually friendly. The bartender who was working this afternoon (I think her name is Kelly) was friendly and good at checking up on the people sitting at the bar. There was another employee that was also helping to clear dirty glasses and checked with each patron if they would like another drink. The crowd here is a little bit older, I would say definitely mostly males in the 40-50's (but there were some younger people there as well... and I do want to mention that since this is the last Sunday of the year, this may not be the best representation of the regular crowd here since people are on vacation and spending time with family during this time of the year). Overall, this place ended up surprising me that I actually liked my time here and didn't feel awkward and unwelcomed. I am not exactly a frequent visitor of any bar, especially a hole in the wall kind of bar. But I can see myself coming back here again to meet my friend watching another game in the future. By the way, the woman's restroom is pretty clean here. Since there are more men at this bar (on this visit), there was actually a wait for the men's restroom. And what was really funny was this was the first time I have ever seen men using the women's restroom (on long road trips, I wished the line for the women's restroom wasn't so long but it always happens. So if there is no line for the men's, I will have my husband stand outside the men's restroom while I use it. I know I am not the only woman who does this *ahem*).

    Beautiful Megan tending bar tonight!

Great Customer service. Fun and warm place that you have to check out. You have to see the restrooms. They are the best I have seen in Los Angeles,San Francisco and Las Vegas. -------------------------- Comment and Follow this reviewer

    Crystal, rockin the bar!

We rolled into Eden East tonight for a few drinks and made some new friends. I've been in a few bars in my life, Eden East is on the smaller side when it comes to size but when it comes to a place I'd like to call home, this is where it's at. Crystal was behind the bar. Very friendly and attentive to our needs. Later that night the owners Randy and his lovely wife stopped by and greeted everyone. When I say greeted, I mean each and every patron was met with a warm handshake, hug and a smile. You can tell that this bar is a piece of Randy's heart. It is clean and lit properly. The bathrooms are clean. I've been looking for a place to land for drinks and I think Eden East is going to be home base.

    Love you mom! Happy Birthday!

Basically it's a cover charge as the 80s bar does a cover on the weekends too. Be sure to check in with the host on the left. They have you wait in line until the next group is done with their timed seating. We had a 10pm reservation and probably waited about 15-20 minutes to enter. Walking through the 80s bar it gives off very clubby and busy vibes so it was hard to imagine a speakeasy at the end of it. I was actually shocked upon entrance and really impressed with the detail and ambiance. It is a small space and keep in mind you may share a table with another group if necessary. The drinks were actually phenomenal. On the pricier end of $22 and up but we're so good. I loved the horror theme play on the cocktail names! The candy man was delicious and my favorite. The Lester drink came in a light bulb with an edible flower and that was definitely an experience! My hubby loved the Samara which was a delicious espresso. I wish I could have tried more cocktails but our timed seating was up (90minutes). Overall, I was a bit worried with all the poor reviews but we had a good time and definitely got you into the spooky season spirit! The staff was also very kind. I do wish they had more horror actors but still a good time. Tip: parking ample and free All ordering is done on your phone so if you have Apple Pay it makes it so much quicker to close out the tab when ordering.

We get wristbands and assigned a table. We were told to wait in another line but we were let in shortly after. We bypass the 80's bar and go to a back room to make it feel like a "speakeasy." They gave us some ground rules and led us to our tables. At the table you have a QR code where you can place drink orders. The bar brings out your drinks to the table. Service was fairly quick and friendly. The drinks were all sweet cocktails and in the "Matterhorn Lodge" theme. There is a 2 drink minimum purchase (per guest) and each drink is $20+ so it can add up. I'm more of a beer person but some of the drinks were delicious. There was one that tasted like Christmas morning (cinnamon, clove, milky) and another drink that had popping boba that was also fun. If you're a butterfinger or peanut butter fan, there was one drink that tasted like it (you'll see it on the drink menu). I wouldn't say the drinks were strong. They do a good job of enforcing the theme. They had a "Yeti" come out and interact with the tables. Good for photo ops. They also had a magician doing a few tricks, and I enjoyed that the most. The place was kept fairly chilly! Even the bathrooms had jokes and signage on the walls that alluded to the alps. Overall a great time. Small venue but pretty chill. Can be pricey. Take a sweater. Good for dates and small groups.

The atmosphere is always welcoming, especially on live music nights. The owner is incredibly friendly and makes it a point to personally connect with every guest, which makes the experience feel even more special and intimate. It is a smaller venue, so I highly recommend making reservations if you want guaranteed seating because once the live music starts, the place fills up FAST. But every single time I go, it's always a great experience. One thing I truly love most about this spot is how it naturally brings people together. I've met new friends just by sitting, chatting, and enjoying the music and wine. It's such a positive and inviting environment. If you're ever in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by and showing support. And I absolutely have to add it's a Black-owned business, so let's continue supporting and pouring into businesses that create spaces like this for the community.

Mixed Experience at a Beautiful Wine Lounge - Reservation Strongly Recommended…read moreThe ambience here is genuinely lovely - dim lighting, stylish decor, and excellent music selection that created a sophisticated, relaxed vibe. I came alone to enjoy a quiet evening and try their wines, drawn in by the strong Yelp reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was uneven. I arrived without a reservation on a busy Saturday night and was initially told there were no tables available. Thankfully, another patron kindly offered me their extra small side table allowing me to stay - but I watched several groups get turned away at the door. Moral of the story: make a reservation. This place seems much better suited for larger groups, events, or celebrations than for solo visitors. Service felt stretched thin. The staff were pleasant but clearly affected service - they could definitely use more help on busy evenings. When I asked about a wine flight, I was told they were too busy to prepare one. Five to ten minutes later, I watched another table receive flights without issue, which was disappointing and made me feel overlooked as a single patron. I ended up chatting with a nearby group of six women who were also there for the first time based on reviews. We agreed the space is gorgeous and has potential, but our experiences were just "okay" overall. It's a beautiful spot with great music and atmosphere, but the operational hiccups and reservation policy make it tricky for walk-ins or solo guests. I probably wouldn't return personally, but if you're planning a group outing or special event, book ahead and you might have a much better time
