What a fun small town bar! We had a great experience here and will definitely return.

I love this place. Its a nice place to have a drink, watch sports and listen to music. The bartenders are always nice and attentive.

Drove by this place hundreds of times since I've moved to the area. Decided to finally pop in this weekend for a drink and it was a fantastic time! First off, the bar is pristine including the bathrooms. Something you don't generally get from a dive bar. In fact I hesitate to call it a dive bar. I believe the term "small bar" is more accurate. The beers were poured into frosty mugs and were icy cold. There were a few locals when we came in and ALL of them were super chill. In fact within a few minutes of chatting with them, one fellow bought a round for the whole bar. Never felt so welcomed as a new patron in a local bar. The best part by far was Randy, the bar owner. This guy was pure class and took the time to get to know us and chatted with us the entire time we were there. Just the nicest dude. Very much looking forward to paying Randy and his awesome bar another visit. Blows all the local bars out of the water. Check them out! read more

Actually should be minus 10 stars. l went there for Helen's karaoke show. Got there around 10:15 and put my name in. Ordered a water because I don't drink alcohol, and it was almost closing time, and this guy comes over and asks if I'm going to order a drink. I told him no, l don't drink alcohol. he never even identified himself as the owner or manager or whatever. he just says get out. I ask if he's serious as it's my turn to sing next. He trys playing the tough guy, but this guy - apparently it's Randy - has no social skills whatsoever. l tell him that he can go eff himself. other than him, the place is pretty nice, but he drags it down. Came by Eden East Bar this afternoon around 1:45 pm with my husband to meet a friend of mine to catch the football game (Detroit Lions vs Green Bay Packers). I am surprised that there are just a small number of reviews for this bar (at the time of this review) so I really didn't know what to expect. But I surprisingly enjoyed my time here. This bar is located in a small plaza with Del Taco and Sushi Takumi, specifically located next to a cleaners. (This small plaza is also in front of the Lowe's plaza) Although I think the parking lot seems kind of on the smaller side, I honestly do not see this plaza becoming too busy because of the limited number of businesses that reside here. Anyways, this bar is pretty small and dinky. I think the size of this bar is probably the size of a large family room of someone's house. There are some tables and some high top tables and of course bar stools at the bar as well. There is about 5 or 6 TVs, each of which were playing different football games. My friend being a huge Lion's fan, we sat in front of the flat screen playing that game. Now one thing I have to mention about this bar is that no food is served here, just alcohol (a few beers on tap and the rest in bottles). You are welcomed to bring in your own food though. This bar is also a Detroit Lion's bar with plenty of fan collector items displayed proudly on the four walls of this place. There is even an autographed napkin on one side of the wall of a player from the Detroit Lion's team (did not see the name of the player). When we arrived to catch the game this afternoon, the owner actually ordered a huge pizza from Aloha Pizza and brought it in for the locals coming to watch the game. From what my friend said, she is a regular here, the owner will often times bring in pizza throughout the football season which I think is very nice. The vibe of this bar is actually friendly. The bartender who was working this afternoon (I think her name is Kelly) was friendly and good at checking up on the people sitting at the bar. There was another employee that was also helping to clear dirty glasses and checked with each patron if they would like another drink. The crowd here is a little bit older, I would say definitely mostly males in the 40-50's (but there were some younger people there as well... and I do want to mention that since this is the last Sunday of the year, this may not be the best representation of the regular crowd here since people are on vacation and spending time with family during this time of the year). Overall, this place ended up surprising me that I actually liked my time here and didn't feel awkward and unwelcomed. I am not exactly a frequent visitor of any bar, especially a hole in the wall kind of bar. But I can see myself coming back here again to meet my friend watching another game in the future. By the way, the woman's restroom is pretty clean here. Since there are more men at this bar (on this visit), there was actually a wait for the men's restroom. And what was really funny was this was the first time I have ever seen men using the women's restroom (on long road trips, I wished the line for the women's restroom wasn't so long but it always happens. So if there is no line for the men's, I will have my husband stand outside the men's restroom while I use it. I know I am not the only woman who does this *ahem*). read more

Came in on a Thursday night didn't realize how close this place was nor how friendly it was but sure am glad that we found it now. The owner's wife 'Francis' was in... very nice lady, bartender was round-the-way cool too! Small bar that does not serve food but certain nights they order food from out for the patrons - which is pretty cool and thoughtful. We rolled into Eden East tonight for a few drinks and made some new friends. I've been in a few bars in my life, Eden East is on the smaller side when it comes to size but when it comes to a place I'd like to call home, this is where it's at. Crystal was behind the bar. Very friendly and attentive to our needs. Later that night the owners Randy and his lovely wife stopped by and greeted everyone. When I say greeted, I mean each and every patron was met with a warm handshake, hug and a smile. You can tell that this bar is a piece of Randy's heart. It is clean and lit properly. We were pretty much ignored by the indifferent bartender 10/29 at noon. Not Crystal this visit. Prices OK, nice, clean place but unfriendly bartender. TV blasting so loud,, and we're the only customers and didn't feel welcome we had to leave after a couple drinks. Maddening,, crazy loud TV's mid day?? Doubt we'll ever go back. Shame really. This is a great little bar. It'll remind you of many great neighbor neighborhood bars that dot America. The place has reasonable dinks, friendly atmosphere, and super clean. Multiple TV screens to watch your favorite, a great juke box, and nice patrons. Randy the owner is often there introduce yourself. If your you're a Michigander there's more fun surprises. read more

I frequent this place on Sundays and mostly during football season. The bartender is great! I love seeing a bunch of old friends and having a lovely time. Everyone her is so friendly and just enjoys one another's company. Small but quaint; everyone is pretty awesome here. Hands down another great spot here in upland to have a a quick minute of warm friendly fun. read more

Best time ever! Beer is ice cold with a full bar set up. #chili cook off #icecoldbeer. This bar has a great feel and it seems like there are a lot of regulars. This place is clean but very small and for the "regulars". As soon as my 7 girlfriends and I walked in we were stared at by the men AND women. We instantly felt unwelcome. Anyhow we all ordered our drinks and kept to our table while the crowd at the bar continued to gaze upon us. Finally after about 20 minutes we left and were screamed at by a regular patron calling us BITCHES. WHAT? I didn't just come here, with a load of friends, after a long day of work, to be intimidated and harassed, AFTER I have spent money in the establishment. I don't recommend this place. I think low class people will feel welcome here. It's not for me and I didn't feel safe here. read more

Its a Detroit fan friendly bar. Just be warned there is no food served here just beer on tap. The bar is clean and friendly atmosphere.

So let me tell you about this dump..I walked in at 7:30 and they were "closed" but their were 10 people inside drinking. The bartender was rude and so were the patrons that were probably regulars. Needless to say don't go inside unless you are a regular. I suggest you NEVER GO! read more

Staff lacks sincerity as if they don't want you there, no matter how much you're spending or how large your group is. I'll never go back.

Hey Sleezeball owner! You can blame this 1 star rating on your bartender Crystal. Shes great if you like drunk bartenders who spend the majority of their shift standing outside smoking and talking to other drunks. She wasn't attentive to any of the occupied tables inside. She was too worry about what Buck Cherry song was coming on next on the jukebox. By the time I did get her attention for our check. She just rambled off some total off the top of her head. So after paying this gelatinous parasite, we headed out. Only to have her chase after us accusing us of not paying. Was she that drunk that she couldn't remember me paying her 2 minutes before? Or was she really that stupid? I don't know either. Well you can assure yourself I won't be going back there. If you do go, guys..keep your g/f or wife away from the owner. He loves smooching on anything of the female specie. I dont know what he loves more, Detroit or Women. Either way, he's a sleezeball. They get 1 star for the black urinals. read more
