Seems like a super underrated spot! To the point I don't know if I want to add to the dazzling reviews because we felt spoiled having the chef almost to ourselves on a Sunday lunch time. We had lunch/brunch here and had an amazing experience! Andrew was such a spectacular server and even brought a great white wine to go with my ceviche. He accommodated to our party which had children and just provided just such a great experience for my parents 40th anniversary brunch. The menu has a lot of variety without being overwhelming or excessive (I don't trust restaurants that have too much on their menu lol). I ordered oysters, which were on the small side but the flavors they placed on top were amazing. I followed with an entree of ceviche which was generous, DELICIOUS, and nourishing. Our table ordered an array of items: Portuguese scramble, Shakshuka, Hugo's rotos con Jamon, the branzino, breakfast pizza, Italian breakfast sandwich, French toast- each one exceeding all expectations. I love when you go back to a place and the staff remembers you! The bartender recognized my husband and came to greet him and shake his hand! Love that! Once we were seated, he came over and asked us what we would like to drink and suggested making a special beverage and it was delicious! So it's our 3rd time here. Food flavor has been pretty consistent each time as we had repeat dosh orders with a new dish each additional visit. Service was good overall, it can get quite busy and noisy at night time. I definitely recommend the jamon iberco and pulpo a feira. I also ordered their burger which I had requested medium well, since it is ground beef. It arrived medium rare but I did not send it back due to time constraints. I still will come back! Menu said shrimp croquettes but it was only one. It was delicious but was so small. Redeemed themselves with the regular food. Appetizer calamari was Lightly battered and good. Piri Piri chicken was half a roasted chicken. Sauce was too spicy for me for chicken was good. My husband got grilled branzino and while I liked it, he didn't like the citrusy flavor. Dessert was this huge apple pie type with ice cream. Yummy! I feel like the food was all good and I'd come back again to try other dishes. A friend had been wanting to try it out so we went on a Thursday night. I will entering the restaurant is a little odd, it's in the side not in the front. It was dark inside, to see the menu we both had to use our phone flashlights. They could've turned on a few more lights. We ordered the Mallorcan pizza to start and it was delicious! We then shared the half order Paella Mar y Tierra, it was amazing! My friend that I was with said it was better than the one she had in Spain last year. They have a large list of specialty cocktails, I ordered the Passion de Ramon, it did not disappoint. We dined early on a Friday night. We went because of the solid Yelp reviews. We started with the Calamari which was crispy and not over battered. It was a nice start. We then shared a margarita pizza. The dough had a nice chew and tasted very fresh. The Caesar Salad was next, we would skip it next time, not memorable or tasty. Another AMAZING dinner at Nunos...this place really never disappoints. My husband and I had such a lovely dinner--the food is just delicious with such good flavors. The branzino was everything you want a grilled fish to be--so good! Crispy/grilled with tender/flaky fish. My husband loved the filet; it was cooked perfectly. The garlic shrimp was recommended by our waiter, Andrew, and we are glad we got it! It definitely could have been a meal in itself. We also got the bread pudding with gelato for dessert and it was THE BEST bread pudding I've ever had...freshly made and served hot with gelato right on top. Perfect. They have quite a list with good descriptive tasting notes, but if you're having a tough time you can always tell your server your usual preferences and they can recommend a few. This was a flavor dance of the tastiest kind: The savory, rich sausage busting flavorful moves alongside the sashaying roasted sweetness of the figs, with honey glaze waltzing through it all. Some freshly grated parm and chili flake added some sassy heat to the party. Again...Mmmm! The Malfada pasta was met with equal "Mmmmms" from friends. The long strips of toothsomely pleasing pasta wrapped in rich, creamy sauce was definitely dreamy. Sadly, we ordered, but had to cancel, our dessert orders. We were on a time deadline to our next destination, and time was starting to run short. We gave ourselves 2 hours for dining, every minute of which we enjoyed. And honestly, we could've stayed another hour quite happily. After years of living in the area, we finally had the pleasure of eating at Nuno's with some friends who highly recommended it for our dinner get together. Everything about Nuno's was fantastic! We've been missing out. The place was busy with live music and an attent8ve staff. The owner was making his rounds helping and checking in with guests. They also have an extensive wine and whisky collection. They offer a good selection of food. We had the bacon wrapped dates and potatoes for our starters and they tasted great. First off I want to give (Uncle) Danny a huge shout out for being such a great waiter. He was attentive AND entertaining. I ordered a bunch of things for the table: Short rib paella, pulpo, bacon wrapped dates, Caesar salad, calamari, patatas bravas, empanadas For entrees, we got the branzino tempura, peri peri chicken, Wagyu burgers, and the pizza. The general consensus was that the pulpo was the highlight as well as the Caesar salad and branzino. I would definitely get those again! Pulpo was so soft on a bed of super creamy mashed potatoes. Branzino was paired perfectly with a tangy salad. Unfortunately, the paella was a miss which was a disappointment because it was $120. Nuno's is home, family, and truly spectacular food. Whenever my husband and I have a baby free night, we go to Nuno's. There is no better food in Claremont, Upland, or any of the surrounding cities. Sitting at Nuno's reminds us of eating at a small restaurant in Montepulciano, Italy. It's such a special experience. The cocktails are insane. Ramon (who runs the bar) is a legend in the area, and he really went all out for Nuno's. Danny, our favorite server, never fails to make us feel like kings and queens. I visited this place by myself to have a nice dinner on a Friday night. I sat down at the bar and the service was amazing. The bartenders were always checking on me and made my night. I ordered the oysters and my favorite was the Nikoi, the flavor was amazing. For entree I ordered the 12onz steak. It was perfectly cook and very tender. It came with a side of patatas bravas and grilled onions. I was expecting a bit of heat from the potatoes but they were not spicy. WOW!!!! Decided to walk around while charging my car and stumbled into this gem. I was intrigued and open the door, unsure, as the restaurant was empty. Joey greeted me right away and explained the restaurant, concept, and menu. I ended up ordering the Fancy Bowl and a Mojito. It was the most flavorful mojito -- optimized for flavor and taste in every way. I later found that they were actually closed but still served me! A super late review, but went here for a Valentine's date for the first time. Reservations were easy online and were seated promptly. The ambiance inside is perfect for an intimate date with live music and dim ambient lighting. Be mindful it can get pretty loud so might be hard to hear your date. For drinks, I got the Passion de Ramon, which I recommend if you love citrus. We ordered the tapa flight, which included empanadas, Mahi Mahi, and bacon covered dates to start. I also tried the Nikkei Oyster & Leche de Tigre Oyster- I loved how refreshing the Leche de Tigre was but felt the Nikkei tasted straight like soy sauce despite it being ponzu. For our mains, we ordered the 12 oz Hanger Steak and the Margherita pizza. The Hanger Steak was phenomenal, so tender and with the added chimchurri sauce and salt is perfection. Found the Margherita pizza a little too sweet for my liking, but the ingredients were very fresh and enjoyable for something different. This place is hands down one of my favorite fine dining spots--every visit is a five-star experience from start to finish. The food is consistently phenomenal--flavorful, beautifully plated, and made with care. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in every dish they send out. PLEASE don't change......I like the occasional fresh updates and specials. Even the "simple dishes like the pizza is great. Can't wait to see some more of those pizza creations. Wild caught Salmon is available as well. I don't know if they use seed oils, I hope not but keep up the good work. Also, as a sidenote, the paella is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere? Elegant without being stuffy. It's the kind of place that feels special but still welcoming, whether you're on a date night, celebrating something big, or just in the mood to treat yourself. They also host some really fun and well-organized events that always bring a great vibe and energy to the space.
