We used to love this place, awesome vibe and great food, but their customer service got sooo bad. Last time we ever went was for my cousins graduation dinner. We gave them a cake ahead of time and made reservations at 8:30pm on a Friday night. We got there at 8:35 and they told us we need to wait. We waited about 40 min until they admitted that they gave our table away to another party who didn't have a reservations. One of my favorite places to dine out.. customer service is on point, they constantly checking up on you. The food is always good, they have wine and beer license so that's always a plus if your in a mood for beer or glass of wine. Ordered thru Doordash at 530pm on new year's eve for a pickup at 7:25pm. Was charged for the food. Husband called at 7pm to see if he can pickup earlier. Was told by the restaurant that they will not fulfill our order. They had stopped taking orders around 6pm. No one called to inform us of this. We would of had about 1hr and 30 mins time to order from somewhere else. Now trying to scrabble around 730pm to see where is still open. Food is great, but customer service is unsatisfactory. I've been going to this place 20 years every week but yesterday I was very disappointed when I've got the royal package deal and had the contract in my hand so many items came to the table missing I paid extra for fruits they told me they don't have fruits they gave me instead dessert for big party one employee only to serve I would never do party over there again. WORST NYE party ever! Omg! The singer was incredibly ridiculous. Did not know the songs or the tunes. Crowd was old, water everywhere could easily slip, bathrooms were all broken with water leaking. I wanted to eat outdoors and I remembered they have this huge patio. Bonus is this place serves Mediterranean cuisine which is great for family-style sharing. The mezze appetizer is an abundance of food and very tasty with lots of warm pita. My favorite included the kibbeh, cheese, and yogurt dip. If you have room in your stomach after all of those appetizers (and I highly recommend the platter for first time visits and groups), there is a great selection of kabobs. I think just about every Lebanese dish is served here and it will taste good. While it was on the menu, the restaurant being "out" of knaffe was really a bummer. We tried an alternate dessert which I am sure was authentic, but it wasn't the same. Sad face. Being Lebanese, I used to come here a lot with my family for some good food, hookah and a fun ambiance. The quality of food has gone way down not to mention the horrible, horrible service. Can't get a refill or coals when you need them and when you ask it'll be hours before you do. Automatic gratuity of $80?! Trippin'! I do not mind giving a great server a tip they deserve but here? Amazing, excellent, 10/10. I didn't grow up around Middle Eastern food but Eden's is the real deal. With a location here and in Pasadena the family-run and owned place is like visiting my Mediterranean grandmother's house. (If I had them.) The meals are experiences where eating is meant to be taken slowly and with care. Some of my favorites include the hummus and their take on cheese sticks. The chicken is juicy full of flavor. 2 stars ONLY because the food was good. But the service was not good at all. We waited forever for our food. A young man in our group went to find out how much longer our food was gonna be because the server only came to the table a few times. She brought pitchers of soda. That's so tacky but whatever we made due. It was the least of our concerns. She didn't come clear the dishes. One of the young men that's in our group again went and got the bus boys to clear the dirty dishes. A girl in our party had change left over Rita literally brought 25 pennies. It's unfortunate we had this experience because the food is really good. The place was very smokey. I don't know if they offer a smoke free area but at this point for me it doesn't matter. I won't be back. A 30 minute drive for less than acceptable service. And they charged gratuity on a party of 6 people. I'll find Mediterranean food in my area. This place was awesome! First time here and were we in for a surprise. Complimentary valet, Yelp reservations that were spot on and allowed us for an early seating once we checked in with the maitre d. We were also surprised to have a belly dancer entertain us on a Friday night starting at 930pm. This is an open air restaurant with propane heaters, plush seating and plenty of elbow space on the table. There are many patrons smoking hookah and to our surprise, it did not interfere with our dining experience. The food was nothing short of amazing. For appetizers, we had Mutabal (eggplant dip) and frog legs. My preggy wife fell in love with the dip and I chewed down on the frog legs which had one of the best tasting dips to accompany them and the fries. We shared the mixed plate for two. This is as good as it gets in the Los Angeles area. My fav hookah location second to Fumari's in San Diego. This spot is truly authentic. Heavily populated with a Middle Eastern crowd..so it must be good right? They say there's a minimum per person, but don't let that discourage you. I hate bread pudding, but this bread pudding was THE BEST I have ever tasted, absolutely scrumptious!!! The whole table was pleased. The guy that seats you is on the rude side, but the wait staff is excellent (particularly the young, tall, skinny guy, sorry didnt catch his name). I really love the atmosphere too, it's very beautiful and romantic. It's a big open space outdoors, so the smoke doesn't bother you. The Mediterranean food here has the best chicken schwarma that I have ever had... super juicy and well flavored chicken with garlic dipping sauce and hot soft pita bread (avoid the beef as the flavors did not soak through like the chicken). Fabulous hummus, eggplant dip, and stuffed grapeleaves made from scratch. Before 8PM on the weekends, usually the restaurant is quiet. We had AWESOME table service and everyone loved their meals. After 8PM on the weekends, the restaurant only allows for a pre-fixed menu because the place is booked solid with reservations. The pre-fixed menu allows the kitchens to prepare the food faster for every table. Apparently, the entire restaurant turns into a "night club" with belly dancers and live music. Too bad Eden's Garden Cafe is so far away from my house. read more
