Veil of shadows - good but very small
    Melissa F.

Service was strange and we were told they would validate our valet but they do not . Had to have the sliders they were good - not great but good. The Veil of shadows drink was ok but very small less than 4 oz and $17. Decor was beautiful!

Solid drinks. Pop in with some friends and grab some drinks. Their whiskey related cocktails stand out. Service is good and the servers will gladly point you in the right direction. The food is great as well. I have to recommend the pretzel and do not skip their seasonal cocktails! A continuation of the theme of the bohemian hotel, you already know the vibe is solid.

I have been to this bar many times and never had an issue with the service and or food and drinks. Tonight the service was terrible. I had to physically get up from my table and walk to the bar to get any attention from our waitress twice after waiting 20-30 min. My to go flatbread was smothered in fig jam straight from my piping bag in excess, which made the flatbread inedible. The service was terrible and my to go Food was not at all satisfying.

Beautiful view, eclectic ambiance, great drinks! In the bar downstairs, you get to walk through a uniquely decorated lobby area. Once inside, step outside to enjoy a beautiful waterfall.

Spirit and Bower is located right along the Reedy river and Falls Park; the view is stunning if you sit outside. The restaurant/bar itself is part of the grand bohemian Hotel. We came here twice for cocktails. The drinks are fine, but nothing spectacular. The pricing is a bit expensive for what you get, but the trade-off is the view. The interior design is also quite nice.

Manhattan and Bourbon Flight. ( and beautiful blonde wife )

My wife and I visited here when we stayed at the wonderful Bohemian Lodge. Spirit & Bower did not disappoint. Service and ambience were great. We sat inside but were super tempted to sit outside under the amazing trees on the stone patio. My wife had a Rye Manhattan and I had an Angels Envy Bourbon Manhattan. Okay more than one. This place knows how to make a Manhattan. Since this is a Bourbon bar, I also had the Angels Envy Bourbon flight. Everything was amazing and I slept very well that night. Haha.

The atmosphere at night was great -- lots of outdoor seating on different levels and a cozy "campfire" vibe. Their bourbon list is extensive, but the prices are wildly inflated. They've got a good selection of allocated bottles which as a bourbon connoisseur is nice to see, but for example they wanted $60+ for a 2 oz pour of EH Taylor Small Batch? You'd have to really want it at that price point. I mean you can get the bottle of that at Buffalo Trace for about that price. I had an Old Fashioned with Woodford Double Oak, but I should've just ordered it neat -- way too much bitters, not enough citrus or sugar. I also tried a pour of JD 10 Year (unimpressed). My tab came to $70... and honestly, it felt like a rip-off.

We were able to grab a seat fairly easy on a busy Friday night. Cute evening walking through the Christmas market and grabbing a drink after. Drinks are more pricey- between $15-$19 but very well worth it.

Really cool spot on the lower level of the Grand Bohemian in Greenville. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. We were here to celebrate a birthday and with my husband having Celiac they had some good subs. I personally don't like hummus or black beans and man I couldn't stop eating that dish for some reason, it was so flavorful. I had the elk burger and added on some cured pork belly. I think elk is a bit too lean and can be dry but I still wanted to try it. The PBLT salad was also very good, you could tell everything was made from scratch. There were definitely more cocktails we want to try next time!

LOVE the spirit & bower bar at grand bohemian- great service and awesome ambience with view overlooking the falls by falls park. Great bourbon cocktails especially - the old fashioned is always awesome and one of our faves in town

It's a cool space-dark, dimly lit, downstairs-going for the speakeasy vibe. I actually met my husband and baby after a spa visit (parents drink, too) and he had many nice things to say about how polite and welcoming the staff had been. We were sitting in a corner, definitely preferred with the babe, and the conversations around us were epic. Seemed that most people were waiting for their table for dinner upstairs. Dress code is anything from casual to upscale. It took a bit for the waitress to come by, but I decided to finish the bourbon drink. When I was in the restroom, my husband ordered a rum drink and asked the bartender to be creative-sadly what was delivered was a rum punch. (Insert laughing face here"). I wasn't mad, I think I had just expected something more complex. We only visited that one time on our trip. It's a neat spot-swing in and check it out.

You'll hear this from other reviewers, but this place is stylish ambiance x highly inattentive service. Both times I've been here, I had to physically go over to a server to take my order. One of those times I was sitting at the bar! The drinks are really not worth their high price either, unless you have simple tastes or just like to drink bourbon. Or just want a nice environment to drink your old fashioned or in. I don't like to write negative reviews, but it's a shame to me that this beautiful place is being downgraded by bad and poorly trained service. I doubt the hotel itself could get away with service like this.

It is found tucked behind the building with only a small, letter-sized paper sign marking the entrance. No flashy signage, no obvious storefront, which adds to the appeal if you're into that kind of hunt. Walking up to it late at night can be a little intimidating but it is well lit which I greatly appreciated! Once inside, the space is dimly lit and small, which makes for a genuinely intimate setting. I'd say it's good for a quieter, more conversational vibe rather than a loud night out. We went with the bartender's choice: pick a base liquor, then two words to describe what you're after. I went with vodka and "slightly sweet, refreshing," for $18. The bartender nailed the brief but it wasn't a drink I'd think about again or specifically order by name. Solid execution, forgettable flavor. Service was the real standout. Our bartender was excellent at walking us through the concept and translating vague requests into something that actually worked. That, plus the atmosphere, is enough to bring me back to see what else is on the menu since we made it there just in time for last call so I ended up only having one drink.

I had the Up In the Air. I'm more sensitive to sweetness than most, so even though our waiter said it wasn't particularly sweet, I asked them to cut the sweetness further and they accommodated it without issue. My friend had the Ginger's Have More Fun, made with their own house ginger liqueur instead of ginger beer. It wasn't overly syrupy, but the syrup notes were present enough to undercut what could've otherwise been a more refreshing drink. We split the Nacho Average Nachos. It was great for picking at while we chatted and had a good concept, with a solid mix of pickled toppings, rich queso, and protein, and chips that held up fine (no sogginess). The execution didn't rise above the idea. It was a fine, forgettable plate rather than a memorable one. Good portion for two, though. Overall, a nice spot for golden hour drinks if you're already in the area, but not somewhere I'd make a specific trip for.

I went here for my birthday this year and took approximately a million pictures. I think the staff may have started getting a little annoyed after we stood there for 30 minutes taking photos, but we weren't in anyone's way, so I'm counting it as fine. The service was also amazing. Our server was super friendly, and once they found out it was my birthday, they offered me a complimentary dessert of my choice. I picked the chocolate cake, but unfortunately, nobody at the table was really a fan. It was VERY rich and had a really strong flavor, so I personally wouldn't order that again.
