Issues were threefold: - Eric basically represented and used a facility that does its own direct auto transport. When questioned (because they were cheaper) he highlighted his business as better due to a number of factors. None of these ended up coming to fruition. - the Rando he got to transport my car was horrible. Lack of communication or updates. Ended up delivering the car two or three days later than promised (meaning I missed being able to inspect the car). And throughout the process was full of lies regarding arrival time and why he wasn't delivering on time. - car was damaged during transport but because I was out of town for 2 months after the fact and wasn't able to confirm and share this with Eric (because it was delivered late) I had no recourse for costs to fix the damage. - finally, In reviewing his end of year books, Eric got confused about a voided transaction (I had been charged twice initially and there was a void in his books). He assumed that it was me doing it due to my dissatisfaction and charged my credit card again without confirming the issue with me. He left messages while I was in a meeting and then charged my card without confirming. When I called, he apologized for his angry action but for someone who highlights professionalism amongst his traits, I feel this was way out of line. After seeing such great reviews online we decided to book with pick and pack. This was easily the worst, most expensive, and most frustrating move I've ever experienced. We moved out of our 2-bed, 2-bath apartment on Sunday, August 2nd. We've moved this exact same furniture multiple times over the last five years, moved that were much farther away and with multiple stops. (I'm talking two stops over 40 minutes away plus a new apartment 40 minutes away from that, walk up to walk up). This move was one apartment with a walk up to a new apartment with an elevator 20 minutes apart. lt has never cost this much or gone this badly.They estimated $1,600-$1,800 for 6-7 hours which was similar to our last moves, but the final bill came out to a whopping $2,200, $2,500 with tip. That's $500-$700 more than far more complicated moves we've done in the past. The crew moved much slower than previous movers I have experienced. They kept disappearing for 15 minutes at a time, and they actually charged us for their lunch break, which is standard, except they were gone over an hour and there was only 20 minutes of travel time.The lack of respect for our things was unbelievable. They completely cracked my antique bar cart handles and wheel, cracked one of our lamps, and my dog's crate. Worst of all, my jewelry armoire was locked prior to our move but must have been pried open because the lock is completely broken and bent now. I haven't even finished unpacking yet and I'm terrified of what else I'm going to find ruined.On top of the damage, they literally left multiple pieces of furniture behind at our old place. They claimed some pieces couldn't be moved safely, which is a total lie because previous movers handled them just fine (Again, for less money and less time EVEN PACKING THEM FOR US) . Other items they just abandoned without saying a word. (there were things we had them leave, these were things they were absolutely supposed to take). They also promised they would arrange my living room furniture they had to move due to space to back where I wanted it at the end of the day, but after taking all day, they just left without doing it. They also did an awful job putting our furniture back together creating even more work for us It is incredibly fishy how this place has so many good reviews online. Now I know why: they make you fill out a survey right before they leave, before you even have a second to look around and notice that your stuff is broken or missing. Again these piece have all been moved multiple times by different movers (all good experiences) with no damage.

She offered to refund the $200 extra that I had to pay, which changed my review from 1/5 to 3/5 thanks to the considerate phone call and the refund. Review: I had a very unprofessional experience. The yelp reviews all seemed good and that's why I picked this company, but it was a bad experience that cost me time and money. I spoke with Kathleen who helped me set up the everything smoothly and I was given a "guaranteed quote" to transport my car from Long Island out west. I gave her a 4 day pick up window trying to ensure the pick up happens before I have to take my flight out. She said that sounds good and they would pick it up within that time range. After calls throughout the week, they finally told me one day before my flight (this was the last day of the pickup time range) that I would need to drop off my car to New Jersey (which is a 2-hour drive) and that it would cost $200 more to ship it. At this point, I had no choice but to agree with them. It was absolutely ridiculous to make me do 5-10% of the moving and to then increase the cost by $200 (or roughly 20%). The only positive was getting my car in 7 days, the driver was good.

My sister's husband had to relocate to Germany due to urgent work issues, and they had only one week to pack and move there. Just imagine how much stuff you need to do. Luckily they hired Shepherd International Movers to help them with the move. Thank you guys for doing such a tremendous job with the upbeat pace and a professional grit. At 8 am they were already working, packing and wrapping my sister's kitchen. We thought that the entire process will take two days to complete since they moved long distance but with these movers everything was done much quicker. And there were no additional charges whatsoever. What a relief because the previous time they ended up paying twice the price of what they had originally budgeted working with much less know moving company and having a bunch of peculiar extra charges that they were not even aware about. With this moving company the whole process was clear from the booking till the delivery. And the sales guys broke down all the charges upfront so they knew exactly what they can expect at the end. We really liked the service my sister's family received from these movers and once again, finishing up such a job while being under this time pressure is heroic action.
