Our family loves Ede's chips and salsa. $1 taco Tuesdays and Thursdays always lure us in. The chile rellenos are my favorite. The red sauce is pretty good too. My fiancé, my two kids and I went to eat there yesterday. It was our first time trying them out. The girl at the register I didn't catch her name but she was super friendly we were so indecisive of what to get we probably stood there looking at the menu for over 10 minutes and the girl was so patient with us. After we ordered our food it did not take that long to come out everything we ordered was exactly what we ordered. My daughter is so picky she never wants to try anything we ordered my son taco truck tacos and my daughter finally tried tacos for the first time and loved it we still had left over to take home and they ate everything else later in the day. All I have to say is WORST SERVICE EVER! all the employees are very rude and they talk about the costumers! I also found their attitudes toward high school students to be snotty. Had lunch there for the fist time , based on a recommendation from a coworker, mediocre at best. I was told the taco truck tacos were the bomb, no. So the tacos ( chicken) look nothing like the picture, meat must have been cooked different then what is pictured ,taste was ok , but not top notch. I've been curious about trying this place for a while now. Stopped by on the last day of school last year with my boys for lunch - walked in and promptly walked out - it was a sauna in there. No A/C. So gave it a try tonight with my son and that will be the last time. I didn't order anything but he ordered the 1 item combo (burrito). The burrito was tiny and had unripe tomatoes, lots of sauce and chicken. It came with rice and beans but it was the size of a kid's meal. The chips tastes like thin, crunchy pieces of cardboard and the salsa was bland. I paid over $10 for his kid's sized meal and a drink. Way, way overpriced. If the food was good that would be one thing but the prices and food were terrible. And I had to stand in line for quite a while to pay - the waitress took our order at our table (we sat first before deciding what to eat) and then never brought us a bill. I was about to get up and order at the register as I saw other people doing but when she came and took our order at the table I was expecting a bill. Do not go here for lunch! Ordered a $10 burrito Togo, then waited 1/2 hr. Small shop, no where to sit & to many kids. Slow slow service. I think the chef is the waitress & runs the register. We had lunch here today and thought everything was good! We liked the complimentary chips, but thought the salsa could have more flavor! My husband had the chicken tacos and they were ok. The beans and rice didn't have too much flavor. I had a carne asada tostada which was very tasty and a chili relleno with red sauce. After reading the reviews I was excited to try this place. The service was great but that was the extent. We sat by the thermometer that reminded us it was 87 degrees inside, which was not a pleasant dining experience. Expect to be constantly waving the flys off your food. The food was flavorless. I ordered a torta which was mainly a bread sandwich. My boyfriend ordered a shrimp burrito which to his surprise only had shrimp and sauce in it. The good thing was the rice was good. Best Mexican restaurant in ripon! They have the tastiest molcajetes and their micheladas are also very delicious! They keep everything very clean and their service is outstanding! Great local spot, Ede the owner is so friendly and welcoming to us. She met us with a smile and the food was great! They have Taco specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a dollar, and during the week offers club cards for students. Carnitas Tacos were fresh, hot shredded pork with salsa were a hit. My son had the kids burrito and my daughter a taquito. Both kids meal came with a drink, and the kids loved the food so much that they said Ede's had the best taquitos around. And we eat Mexican food a lot! The outdoor patio is a nice, clean area where you can kick back and enjoy your food in the summer evening. My husband and I are having a new love affair with this place! We used to like this other place in town, but were left very disappointed after the new Ownership had taken over. Lucky for us, by checking the other place off our list we ventured into this cute little establishment. We have not actually sat down and dined here, but we have had take out at least 8 times.
