We ordered takeout, and unfortunately this visit missed the mark. I ordered the burrito bowl, no rice,but it was mostly beans with very salty chicken. I added tomatoes, but there were only about two small diced pieces. I also paid extra for lettuce (90¢), which amounted to just a tiny pinch, sour cream (60¢), which was literally a small drop, and guacamole ($2.90), which was about a tablespoon at most. My wife ordered the chicken burrito, and it was also extremely salty. She could only eat about a quarter of it before giving up. Overall, the portions for the add-ons didn't match the extra cost, and the excessive salt made both meals disappointing. I hope this was just an off day, because based on this experience, we wouldn't order these items again or even come back. read more

Let's start with the good stuff... the manager sent a tortilla wrapped stuffed jalapeno to my table and that was delicious. Really perfect blend of Jalapeno heat, rich melted cheese, a tosted tortilla shell and drizzled with cool avocado sauce. The place is really clean. That is a good sign. My carne asada burrito: I'm going to give it a B. They could grill the meat with a little more char. Some of the meat looked like they cooked it at too low a temperature so it was more boiled than grilled. The way the burrito was built, all the ingredients were mixed and mashed together. There was no seperation of flavors. However, the flavors were good and the ingredients are fresh and high quality for sure. Service is an A. I've been to 3 other tequileros locations. Manteca (food truck), Stockton (small spot but a great mural wall) Lodi (truck) Salida, CA was spacious, seating to eat and to wait, the decor all around is beautiful, there was restrooms available Ordered there, took some selfies and enjoyed my steak fries order at home. Their green sauce special is so delicious I hadn't known at my Lodi visit but my cousin told me about it and brought me to the Manteca spot. I looked on yelp for other locations and went to the Stockton location with my cousin. I would like to come by to the Salida location again soon and eat there next and try another menu item Parking looked very much available even with other businesses nearby. Modern decor with lots of neon, very cool. Found this place which is kind of hidden in the corner of this shopping area which we drive through almost daily. Great find solid 4.5 stars for now, wife and I were really hungry after a very long day at work so sometimes that skews the rating so will come back soon and try some tacos and chilaquiles and maybe upgrade to a 5 star. I had Al pastor fries, which my wife usually rolls her eyes because what am I ten? Fries were delicious! She had a carne asada burrito which was also great and with a different flavor from what you usually get not sure yet what the flavor/spice it is but very tasty. My husband and I had been eyeing this place for a while, and we finally decided to call in a pickup order because we were seriously craving tacos. We ordered four tacos two pastor, two asadaand an asada burrito (no beans). I also asked for two sides of salsa, one for me and one for my husband, since burritos always need that extra sauce. The young woman who took my order was really pleasant. She repeated everything back, including the two sides of salsa, and quoted me a 15-minute wait time, which was spot on. Everything was packed up securely, which I appreciated. However, when we got home, there was only one salsa included even though it was confirmed during the call. Not a huge deal, but a little disappointing. I ended up giving mine to my husband since his burrito needed it more, which meant my tacos were on the dry side. That said, the tacos were still filling and the meat was flavorful and well-seasoned. I do wish the tortillas were a little more cooked; they were on the softer, slightly soggy side. The grilled onions and serrano on the side were okay. The pastor taco especially felt a bit soggy, probably because that meat tends to be juicier. Overall, it was a decent experience. The food was good, though the prices felt a little on the higher side for tacos. Tip: Double-check your order before leaving--especially if you asked for extras like salsa. I've seen Tequileros trucks and restaurants all over the Central Valley, but it wasn't until today that we finally stopped in. So happy we did! We placed an order online through their website and it was ready within a few minutes of us getting there. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful! You walk in and the counter, menu and cashier are right in front with extra seating around the corner. We ordered two breakfast burritos, a side of flour tortillas, and a Horchata. Even after about 45 minutes of driving home and making a pit stop, our burritos were still piping hot and delicious when it was time to dig in. I got a bacon breakfast burrito and my boyfriend got chorizo. It comes with your choice of meat, plus eggs and potatoes for $10. Great deal for how big and stuffed they are! You can add cheese and sour cream (even have it rolled it cheese?) for extra. The bacon was thick cut and the potatoes were sliced, not chunky. The tortillas must be made in house because it tasted so fresh; I'm glad I got a side order to snack on later today. The red salsa on the side was spicy and had a wonderful flavor; I wish I wasn't so weak to spice so I could have had more!! Jordan got the green salsa but didn't try it. Been a customer for the past 3 years. The food is delicious, but, they have been messing up for the past year. Ive tried 3 separate times ordering chips and salsa ($4) and each time theyve failed to include the chips and salsa in my order. The 3rd time I called the restaurant, they told me that there wasnt anything they could do. I've continued ordering from them because the food is just that good, but now, theyve been messing up my burritos. Unfortunately, when we got home, we noticed there was only one salsa for all four tacos and none for the burrito. For me, salsa is a must, especially for a burrito it really ties everything together. Without it, the burrito felt a bit dry, though the flavor and texture were both on point. The restaurant itself looks clean and new, with plenty of parking available out front. You need to answer the phone when we call. After I try for a period of an hour, and I still have nobody answering the phone. Sometimes the order is unique, and your online ordering service does not accommodate. Your staff is rude and takes a while to assist in that always because you're busy sometimes just chitchatting not carrying if the customer might be in a hurry or not Maybe that's why they don't answer the phone. They are too busy chitchatting instead of taking the calls for more business. read more

It was Halloween night and quite busy out on the Gainesville Square. Thankfully, it wasn't crazy busy inside. I wish, though that they had more tables outside as it was quite cold inside with the AC running on the lowest temp possible in the main dining room.
