My husband brought us here after telling me his co-worker dreams about these tacos. I can understand why their food infiltrates his subconscious. We had the carne asada tacos for dinner, and we scarfed them down in my husband's truck while they were still piping hot and fresh. l can't explain why these tacos were better than others besides fresh ingredients and maybe putting some love into them. I did try this place and it was so disgusting. I did order two $2.50 tacos of asada and the meat was dry as cardboard and these tacos were so tiny. I also ordered a Pastor burrito and besides being the size of a Taco Bell bean burrito the meat wasn't even close to what pasto should be. This taco truck was highly recommended. So my family and I were starving when we arrived and very, very excited, but we were all super disappointed by the end results. We ordered 20 tacos - 8 chicken, 8 carne asada, 4 pastor and 1-carne asada burrito. We only got 16 tacos. So we were 4-tacos cheated - they owe me $10.00 and I also want my $5.00 tip back! The tacos were ALL super DRY & had no Seasoning . The burrito was suppose to be a super ( I paid for a super ) but all he put in It was meat and beans and it was gross, very dry and tasted like I was eating wood chips of dog food. The one and ONLY thing THEY did correctly and on point, was I asked for the hot sauce to be put on the side because I heard it was extra spicy. That order was followed properly, so he is a great listener. The food was a waste of money and a waste of time. We end up going to In-and-Out afterwards and was OF COURSE we were then SATISFIED,!!! We end up throwing all this dry poop away. Never ever, ever would we go back. If it was the only thing open in the world, I'd rather starve. Such a disappointment. I think abuelita (granny) is back there making them herself, from the recipes she learned from her abuelita, decades ago, in old Mexico. I wish the area was a little less sketch, but what can I do? Only go w my S.O. That's what. With my S.O. next to me, sin problema. If you're female traveling solo, I recommend prime lunchtime. It's crowded & tame. And there's going to be a line. Second- the meat is tender, nicely cooked, flavorful. I got the Asada and Tongue and Pastor. They don't serve chicken there. Third-Salsa was on point. It can taste the salsa which complemented well with the meat. Overall...my thought after having their tacos...I would invest in their business. If only their location and truck was at a nicer location and better maintained....more people would go there. For now...I believe I found a taco shop I would go regularly when I'm in NorCal. First of all I'll have you all know that I am a professional taco truck connoisseur (or at least I like to pretend I am.) I'm Mexican, I grew up eating homemade Mexican meals every day (shoutout to my mom) so you know my opinion is legit... I always get the ol classic asada burrito supreme with red salsa and 2 or 3 lengua/ al pastor tacos on the side with red salsa whenever I go. Burritos are never dry and packed with exquisite flavor. Tacos are delicious and are made the right way. They don't just serve you a taco with a plain flimsy tortilla that was slapped on the grill for 10 seconds, the tortilla is actually done with some grease from the meat on em and they get that slight crunch. The red salsa is one of the best I've ever had. Warning: it might be spicy for those who are weenies when it comes down to spiciness but it damn near has perfect flavor probably just like everything else you can order from this truck.
