Don't waste your time here. Drove over with my prescription and walked in and the receptionist just said when is your appointment. I said I didn't know I needed one. Was told to sit and wait. Very rude. Then they assumed I didn't have all the required documents which I did. They told me they would call me when to come back. Waited over a week and nothing. Called and they said they were waiting on info from my doctor. Waited another week and called again and they were unclear as to what the delay is. Got a "lightweight wheelchair" delivered. Was told monthly payments with our insurance would be under $4. Great! I made a payment before it was received. It was not lightweight and I called the next morning (Thursday) to return it. No one called me back. I called again Monday morning and I believe it was picked up that same day. Now a week later I get a message they are going to auto draft $8 in a couple days, so I call. They said I had it a certain amount of time and this would be last charge. I feel this is underhanded and not right! I realize it's only 8 dollars. Still feel scammed and would not recommend them at all. You make a payment or return equipment and they continue to bill you or draft your credit card or bank account. when a previous problem occurred and I ma de multiple calls I finally had to go in person to resolve it. I am not a professional caretaker. I am simply a senior neighbor helping out a neighbor who had a problem with her CPAP. First, I contacted the company who makes the machine. They referred me to Edge Medical Supply. They unsuccessfully tried to transfer me. They said they would contact me. They did. The person at Edge told me to bring in her Cpap machine, which I did today. First thing the woman at desk coldly said was "Do you have an appointment?". I said no, I was told to bring in the machine. She said "We would not say that". I said, well you DID. She responded: "Sometimes we have other people helping us answer our phones". I said, ok, how does this help us? She spoke to someone and "squeezed me in". I waited about 15 minutes, which was fine. Then a door opened and I hear the simple name "Dona!". I walked in explaining I was assisting her. She seemed really stressed and I said"Looks like you are having the same kind of day as me!". Trying to alleviate the "air" I was sensing. She GROWLED: Put the machine THERE. WHY IS THERE WATER IN THIS?? I explained the problem, and she asked: When was the last time you replaced the filter? I responded: I really don't know. How often is it supposed to be changed? She responded: Every six months. I said, well we just got this in January. (less than six months). She responded: Well you must not be cleaning it enough! You'd better HOPE no WATER got into the machine!! This woman was condescending, offered no kindness or HOW to avoid future problems. She was simply the rudest person I have encountered in YEARS! I VOCALLY let her know, which is TOTALLY out of character for this 70 year old! called to schedule a refitting on my mask because the current one was making me sick. They refused to make any accommodation for me to come in and get this done. They wanted to make me wait over a week. First, they blew me off and referred me back to my Dr, stating they need to change it on their end. I did. My Dr stated that this company should be able to refit me without any new prescription or change. I called back in to Edge Medical, run around again. Still no one would help me. this place is a rip off. when arriving it looked like a make shift garage. concrete floors and parking is limited. you have to rent your machine for 13 months before you can purchase it. no ands,ifs or butts. But it only takes 3 months of continuous use for United healthcare to approve. Do not give them access to your credit card for automatic payment. they billed me twice for an item. found that on my United healthcare statemen. had to threaten them to get a refund. salespeople call constantly trying to sell you extra masks. had to put them on a no call. when ordering, they cannot give you a price of the item or what your copay is gonna be. you do not get an invoice or packing slip when your order arrives. every month my rent is a different price. this place is a rip off. do not do business with them. read more

I am 1 hour away from Edge New Braunfels TX. On 3/2/2025 I got there in plenty of time for my 1 PM appt. The small office filled quickly with 3 people having the same scheduled time as me. It got crowded fast with several people standing outside. After waiting 1/2 hour, the tech called me and said "here you go" and handed me the boxed equipment. This was a new type of machine for me and I wanted her to review it with me, but she said my appt. was for "take and go," i.e., "Take it and get out of here." I took the new equipment home and found that it included the wrong size head gear and I had to review the manual to figure it out. Now I have to chase them again to see how I am going to get the right - size head gear. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SORELY LACKING IN EFFICIENCY! If they had taken a few minutes to open the box and go over the changes from the old to the new, we would have discovered it contained the wrong size head gear. SHAME ON THEM. Long story but I was referred by my dr office to do a sleep study and was told I needed a clap machine, it took a year to get them to call me and fill my order and it went down hill from there. This is an extremely hard business to work with for repair of equipment. First the number given for the business is a call center and it is hard to get someone that can be understood. I spoke with 4 people and each time the line was disconnected. I have reported this to my doctor and will request to transfer to any other company for help. It took 5 days and 7 phone calls to accomplish what I needed from here. I did realize at the end that my doctors office wasn't supplying all the necessary information either but trying to get return calls and assistance for what I needed that shouldn't have been so difficult or taken so long was exasperating. On the last day I got the right person who finally was able to take care of what I needed. I also realize there are a lot of sick people out there right now and way too many people are moving here all at once overwhelming medical services and doctors but it shouldn't take 5 days to get help for a sick person who is at home struggling. read more

Five star so far. Edge - AeroCare is the designated insurance (Medicare) supplier for my new CPAP. Once they received the initial paperwork from my referring physician they contacted me, reached out and emailed links to additional info. Within 2-3 days after Edge received the complete package from my doc and I was scheduled to receive my my CPAP. Tony provided really good advice, including an alternative mask and headgear, which worked good the first night. Manufacturer support has been phenomenal even calling me to review first night use and mask leakage issue. Before I went to Edge I was concerned because of the reviews. Medicare and durable medical equipment is a quagmire and ours was made worse when my husband had a stroke shortly into initiating the paper work for a CPAP. Add new staff who found dealing with the military medical system a completely alien experience, and it was a mutual nightmare. Heather moved mountains, and then dug out of avalanches trying to work this out. Then we got a call from Brandon. Brandon decided the paperwork we had submitted didn't support the need, didn't offer solutions, then made notes in the chart that didn't represent the situation truthfully. So enter Jennifer...a sea of calmness and sensibility...Heather 2.0...who tackled it all again and worried out two options and an eventual solution. Be advised that the phone tree (press option 2...) does not place you in touch with the local office. This contributes to misunderstandings and irritation. The Houston (resupply) is working off notes. If the notes (like Brandon's, read aloud) are self-servingly inaccurate...they are not trained to deal with an irate customer...or to address the problem. read more

Went to Restoring Mobility , right down street, she was attentive handled everything with paperwork effortlessly, and was very informative. The lady that helped me was part owner . I would never do business with this company again. Even though I got a rep from my health insurance on the line with not only their rep but their manager, they refused to order a Cpap machine unless I paid up front or put a credit card on file with them. I had lost my machine when I moved and for this reason, PER my insurance company, I was eligible to get a new one. My medical condition was severe and they knew it. A manager from BCBS called Jennifer (the manager at edge) and still they refused but did offer to sell me a used one for 300.00. In the days where so many good companies are available, these kind of people should not have jobs working with sick people......I did this same job for many years and never did I refuse when the insurance called me to insure payment. read more

I have been using edge medical/aerocare for about 3 years. Right now, I have been on the phone from 3:00 p.m. At 3:10 someone answered and it is a great day aerocare. She asked me to spell my last name and my d.o.b. I told her. She just a moment please. That was 15 minutes ago. I am still on hold. All I need to do is reorder my oxygen. This happens almost everytime I have to call. They are really bad. I have called Medicare several times with complaints. Raven finally came back and explained that she is trying to get in touch with someone from the oxygen supplies. Worst part is we are stuck with this company because Medicare says we are. I found myself at their business for a CPAP machine prescribed by my Doctor. I was told by my Dr. that I would have a chance to look at different machines and to choose what I prefer. NOT the case with Egde. I was told this was the machine my insurance had approved and I had no choice in the matter. I gave in at that point. However a few days to a week or so later as I was struggling to get used to the machine , I received rude and somewhat threatening emails and phone calls stating the machine would be taken away if I did not meet compliance. I spoke with my Dr. about it and was assured compliance was up to her NOT edge medical, yet they continued to call and threaten me about compliance. I am returning the CPAP machine on Monday. I wouldn't pour my coffee on them if they were on fire. read more

The folks at Edge Medical Supply made it possible for me to bring my mother home after eight months in rehab. They were absolutely wonderful! They worked well past their normal business hours to deliver and set up her bed and wheelchair. They allowed me to borrow a nebulizer when insurance didn't approve the one ordered by the physician due to a filing error. They are continuing to work with me to make sure we have everything that is needed for my mother's care. Highly recommend! Thank you, Tony, Gilbert, Jennifer, Peggy and the rest of the Edge staff. I too was treated inappropriately when contacting this business with regard to C-Pap equipment. I had my sleep study, picked out the nasal cannula mask and expected to have everything going by at least end of December, BUT, Edge had a different plan--hold off on dispensing my equipment until after January 1, so they could collect the Medicare deductible on top of the payment plan I was already given? That, ladies and gentlemen is called "abuse" and one of the many reasons that DME suppliers are and have been under the focus of the OIG for years now. To support my claim, please go to the Medicare Fraud page and search "DME" to see all the fraud and abuse these companies overall muster. For 2018, there was a recovery of $2.8 Billion in fraud and abuse across the board--$2.4 was healthcare related. That paints a pretty grim picture for the patients. Further, what was discussed with me was not what was documented in the chart--strike two and now, strike three when I asked to be escalated to someone to discuss this the person I spoke with hung up on me. I am reporting this incident to Edge Corporate after I file my complaint with CMS and request a formal investigation based upon what happened not only to me, but others who have commented as well. read more

My doctors office faxed an equipment order to Hulio for a CPAP machine Oct 17, 2017. Since then, Hulio will not speek to the doctors assistant or myself regarding the equipment order. My insurance company has spoken with Hulio twice. Hulio told my insurance company that he faxed my doctors office twice and was awaiting their reply. My doctors office hasn't received anything from Hulio. If you or your loved one needs medical supplies DON'T go to Edge Medical Supply in New Braunfels! It's a big waste of time. BEWARE !!! We were referred to Edge Medical through our insurance company. It was bad from the first phone call with Tonya till the end. My husband had a fractured leg and a fracture heel.On different sides. The wheelchair leg supports were not long enough to keep the heel inside the supports and not propped on top. When I explained that to her she said "Listen I'm gonna tell you one more time how it works. Prop them on top. When I told her he couldn't due to fracture she told me to have our rehab physical therapist to call her. When I spoke to rehab she was a rude to them as me. They had to let us borrow a leg support to use the correct size since Tonya wouldn't. When I was trying to arrange the pick up of the hospital bed the office staff was rude and didn't care if they helped me or not. When we got disconnected they didn't call back. When I called back I had to start all over again. read more

This is the worst business in New Braunfels. They were very prompt in getting me my original CPAP equipment (big money from Medicare?) but have been horrible about getting me replacement equipment. I am eligible for replacement equipment every 6 months, but it takes 1 - 2 months for them to actually have it delivered; and this is after several telephone calls where I am told it will be there next week. Don't believe them. Edge is the only DME company listed for Medicare patients and they know it and treat you poorly because you have no choice. If there is another company you can use please make your life easier and do so. read more

This is the WORST company to order supplies from. I work for a medical office and we have been trying to order a particular product for a patient for two months now... The only reason this patient has not healed is because he doesn't have this product. Unfortunately, this is the only med supply company within the area that accepts his insurance or I would've selected another company weeks ago. This began when we called the company to see what was needed to order the product. They faxed us an order form for physician to sign which was signed and faxed back immediately. A week went by and we never heard anything from Edge. I called to follow up and they said they never received the form. I explained that I was looking at the fax confirmation and confirmed the fax #. So I re-faxed the form and was assured they would place an order for the product with the local rep asap. Another two weeks passed and the patient still had not received the product. I called them again and they apologized and told me they had missed the paperwork that was faxed in and would order the product asap. I told them how ridiculous this is and the patient has been waiting for a month and a half! Called to follow up again today and was told they never received the signed form... I told them I have faxed it TWICE now and keep hearing different stories. She said she would research and call me back shortly and I never heard back... So I just called again and she said "oh it has been ordered I'm just waiting for it to arrive so I can make sure it's the correct product and then he can pick it up or have the product shipped." I feel that the manager of this company needs to speak to it's employees about communicating with their customers and patients. Very disappointed! read more

Very disappointed with this company. They are nice and pleasant on the phone but their follow thru and organization is very, very poor. As a social worker, I started a wheelchair order for a patient on June 5th. Six weeks later, I still kept getting the run-around. I had the MD update the face to face documentation which was necessary. Despite that, no follow-thru or follow-up. I had to call multiple times. They kept getting the old paperwork mixed up with the new paperwork I sent. I get promises of call back- never happened. I finally talk to the "manager" who promised me she would look things over and call me back in 15 minutes. Guess what? She did not call back. I gave her more than 24 hours which to do so. I emailed this same manager to express my concern and ask for a specific answer/decision/reply. Guess what? I never heard back from her. After 6 weeks, I finally called and cancelled the order. The employee on the phone tried to "nicely" blame me- stating I was the holdup as I never provided the updated information which I had faxed/emailed three times. Very frustrating experience. Again, all employees were cordial and professional on the phone so the lack of follow-up and organization is puzzling. But in good conscience I can't recommend them to anyone. read more

I took a prescription for a wheelchair into the New Braunfels location and handed it to the man working there. He told me that it could take a couple of weeks due to insurance. 4 weeks later, while at the doctors with my father, I called Edge and asked what the status of the wheelchair. I was told that they had NO record of the request. The doctors RN faxed over the prescription and got a positive send receipt for the fax. Upon calling back, she was told that they didn't get it. Fax number was verified with the office personnel. So the prescription was sent via email along with "medical justification for need" of the prescription. This morning I got a call from Jeff who told me that the prescription wasn't signed by the doctor and the "medical Justification for need" was not sufficient. Are you kidding me? The doctors office was on the phone with them for three phone calls yesterday from the office. They couldn't call them back and request what they needed???? AND, they had no explanation as to why they hadn't called me in 4 weeks to tell me they needed additional information. I read the reviews for this location today and can completely validate the incompetence and horrible customer service at this site. Avoid them like the plague! read more

I read all the negitive reviews about Edge Medical Supply that I decided to do my own controlled evaluation. I received a medical request from my doctor for a new CPAP. The doctor faxed the request to Edge Medical and they called me the same day to advise me that they received the order. On the same day, I took the same exact paperwork to American Home Patient in San Antonio. Six days later, Amercian called me and asked me to come in and get my new CPAP. After numerous calls to Edge, they finally called me back on day number 74. Thats right... 74 days later Edge called me to come in and get fitted for my new CPAP. If I could give Edge a "0" rating, I would. I highly suggect that future patients read all the negitive reports on Edge (located on several web sites) and DO NOT patronize Edge Medical Supply. I also advised my medical doctor of this situation and he advised that he will tell his patients about American Home Patient. read more
