We arrived and were seated on time for our reservation. Server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the menu. Although she forgot to put our salad in, the food and service were top notch. In and out in less than 75 minutes. Edgewater also has ample parking and beautiful views from just about every table. Beautiful Waterfront view Great food Great drinks Great ambiance Great service We booked a reservation for Thursday during the busy summer season and were pleasantly suprised by the availability the day before our planned outing. The beautiful view was accompanied by wonderfully crafted food. I feel like it's hard to find affordable tasty food with a view like this. We started with the ceviche and bread board which both hit the spot pretty well. The ceviche was fresh and tasty with the perfect amount of sweet/salty and acidity. I think there was some kind of tropical fruit in it that really added another element to the dish. The miso butter bread was very hearty yet light, a perfect pairing with our Caesar salad. Wife ordered the key lime pie martini which was so good I wish I had gotten one and wasn't driving. For mains I got the whole fried fish, which was vermillion snapper paired with edamame fried rice and crispy Brussel sprouts. I'm literally salivating thinking of it right now. No complaints on my end. My wife ordered the mushroom fried rice with steak added and after asking for medium rare received well done steak. The waitress was very understanding and offered to take it back and have it made correctly. Unfortunately it came back medium well and at that point we were ready to just eat, and they offered to comp the rice dish which was nice but my wife was still a little disappointed. I understand these things happen and won't fault them for trying to make it right. But it is a little disappointing to have a "fixed" dish come back unfixed. Justin was a great server! He made our lunch entertaining and we were well taken care of. I was disappointed in the lack of seafood options on the menu for lunch. I ended up getting the seafood Cobb salad which came with 5 jumbo shrimp. The portion was large for $18. My fiancé got the fried shrimp with fries. The fries were cooked well and nice and crispy. We didn't have to wait for a table since it was the off season and enjoyed sitting by the water. Overall, I expected more fresh fish options so I might try another place next time. read more

It's always been good here. But not tonight--in part. Crab cakes are among the best as always. But the menu for the "1/2 chicken" is literally a 1/4 chicken-- one leg/thigh cut into pieces. THIS WAS NOT a 1/2 chicken, which entails one breast, thigh, drumstick, and wing. SO wrong for Edgewater to do this to customers. Honestly, though I cannot prove it from a few months ago, seemed to be the same issue we had when family came to visit us back around the new year's. Atmosphere is good, as is generally the food, but this is WRONG. Two times is more than a coincidence in our view. We'll think twice about returning anytime soon. Really weird experience our first and only time *trying* to try Edgewater 122. We saw this statement on the website - "We are still taking reservations for Dinner, but feel free to just come right in for Brunch or Lunch." But we didn't realize that meant "reservations ONLY". It was around 6:30 PM on a Tuesday and the hostess didn't seem super thrilled to greet us. We asked for a table for 2. She asked if we had a reservation and we did not. But are there any openings later? No, totally booked the whole rest of the night, she says. Unless we wanted to sit at the bar. (We did not.) As soon as we walked away, we looked on Resy and saw open times for the dining room and patio from 7:15 till close! She should have been able to see that, right? So with all this in mind, we were not interested in trying this restaurant anymore. read more

Like pretty much everything nowadays, the prices are a bit high, but it was a very enjoyable meal. We had the excellent ceviche to start. It was a decent size bowl of seafood with good flavor. The seared scallops with bok choy and bacon jam was a real winner. Scallops were properly cooked - tasty but still tender. The fresh catch special (tilefish) was another outstanding dish. The salsa Verde and sauted greens worked well. The dish included sauted plantains. These also were very good, but I'm not sure how they fit in with the rest of the dish. Wow just wow! Tried this place for the first time today with my friend. Cute spot overlooking boats on the water. Nathin was our waiter and he was delightful! He checked on us often and made our day even more enjoyable. I had two mojito's that were nice and strong. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, very tasty with bits of crab on the top. I had the salmon sandwich and she had the crab cake sandwich, Parmesan fries were really good. Split a crème brûlée. Made in house and light and tasty. Nathin deserves a big fat raise! He's the best waiter I've had at any restaurant since moving here 1.5 years ago. I eat out at least 6 times a month. We will definitely be back soon. Beautiful spot, love the oceanside vibes! They sat everyone by the view as best as possible which was nice. All the staff were really friendly and answered all of our questions. I got the shrimp and grits and it was so good! My first time ever having it, however I noticed they cook the grits different, it was more fried. It tasted amazing, especially the shrimp! The only thing was because it was fried it got hard for me to continue eating it since I get acid reflux easily so I was only able to eat one fried grits piece but I did eat all the rest! Decided to give it another opportunity after a disappointing experience in the fall. We were greeted and seated right away in the main dining room and met Stephanie our server. She was very attentive and pleasant. The cocktails were very good along with the seared tuna and ceviche apps. We both chose the daily fish special, pan seared snapper in a corn succotash sauce. Everything was fresh, presented nicely and tasted great. My only comment would be the $40 per plate for the main seafood dish was too steep. Great waterfront sunset and servers so I'll compromise. This was not our first visit to the restaurant. We were seated at the hi-top just as you go thru the door. The built in AC was frigid. That said, the server took our order, two fish specials with potatoes and asparagus. The food came out and presentation was really nice. Thefish was good, but it had a lot of the dark fatty meat. The potatoes were bland. No salt shaker on the table and the server didn't come back to check on us. We were finished eating when she did and ordered desert. I asked if I could get a Cognac and she didn't know what that was. So I asked for brandy. She said we don't have that, but did ask the bartender who confirmed that there was no brandy. I can't believe a restaurant posing as a fine dining establishment, doesn't have any sort of brandy! I think a lot of consideration on our part will occur before we return. read more

The menu always has something for everyone. The service has always been prompt and friendly and professional. The bar is well stocked and craft cocktails are very delicious. This is a follow up review as we have dined here before. Diner was top notch! Caesar was perfectly dressed.(You can tell it's homemade!) The steak was excellent and done right. Everyone knows that the Brussels sprouts are the best in all of the USA! They did not disappoint. They were superior.(seriously amazing). I had the scallops and they were seasoned really well.they were cooked perfectly. I had crisped potatoes and all I have to say is Delicious!!
