We arrived and were seated on time for our reservation. Server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the menu. Although she forgot to put our salad in, the food and service were top notch. In and out in less than 75 minutes. Edgewater also has ample parking and beautiful views from just about every table. The only reason for 4 stars is the lack of any type of tap and pay, which is necessary in today's dining climate. Cheers! Ask for Julie!

We ate here when visiting last year and enjoyed it so we brought a friend with us this year and we were pleased with our lunch again. The restaurant is located right on the water with great views. Two of us had a draft beer and we all ordered the Black Bean Burger and fries. The sandwich was good and the fries were seasoned shoestring fries that were very good. The service was good as well. We would definitely be back again.

What a great place to eat! Beautiful Waterfront view Great food Great drinks Great ambiance Great service We booked a reservation for Thursday during the busy summer season and were pleasantly suprised by the availability the day before our planned outing. The beautiful view was accompanied by wonderfully crafted food. I feel like it's hard to find affordable tasty food with a view like this. We started with the ceviche and bread board which both hit the spot pretty well. The ceviche was fresh and tasty with the perfect amount of sweet/salty and acidity. I think there was some kind of tropical fruit in it that really added another element to the dish. The miso butter bread was very hearty yet light, a perfect pairing with our Caesar salad. Wife ordered the key lime pie martini which was so good I wish I had gotten one and wasn't driving. For mains I got the whole fried fish, which was vermillion snapper paired with edamame fried rice and crispy Brussel sprouts. I'm literally salivating thinking of it right now. No complaints on my end. My wife ordered the mushroom fried rice with steak added and after asking for medium rare received well done steak. The waitress was very understanding and offered to take it back and have it made correctly. Unfortunately it came back medium well and at that point we were ready to just eat, and they offered to comp the rice dish which was nice but my wife was still a little disappointed. I understand these things happen and won't fault them for trying to make it right. But it is a little disappointing to have a "fixed" dish come back unfixed. That being said it was still a great meal and we felt very taken care of by our waitress. Would love to come back and give them another shot.

Justin was a great server! He made our lunch entertaining and we were well taken care of. I was disappointed in the lack of seafood options on the menu for lunch. I ended up getting the seafood Cobb salad which came with 5 jumbo shrimp. The portion was large for $18. My fiancé got the fried shrimp with fries. The fries were cooked well and nice and crispy. We didn't have to wait for a table since it was the off season and enjoyed sitting by the water. Overall, I expected more fresh fish options so I might try another place next time.

Love this place! Consistently delicious. Service is always good. We always eat here on vacation and will continue to return. Recommend reservations.

Birthday and Good Friday dinner. Wife's birthday party. Good food and attentive wait staff. Get there early as they get busy. On the water Southport Yacht basin. Birthday cake at the end of dinner to complete an excellent meal.

Sorry for dark pic but this is shrimp n grits A bit soupy and huge polenta chunks and bacon Delish!

Party of 4 service and all of our meals were spot on Stephanie our waitress was sweet and attentive I had the shrimp n grits which were delicious! Would definitely go again! Ambiance is ok...it's really an outdoor deck which is enclosed in plastic drapery to shield from the outside elements I hate being cold and we were very warm inside:) Nice glimpse of the sunset

Tilefish special - very good but not sure how the plantains fit in.

Should be 4.5 stars. Excellent dinner, drinks and service. We sat on the patio area with a nice view of the boat docks and the IWC. Like pretty much everything nowadays, the prices are a bit high, but it was a very enjoyable meal. We had the excellent ceviche to start. It was a decent size bowl of seafood with good flavor. The seared scallops with bok choy and bacon jam was a real winner. Scallops were properly cooked - tasty but still tender. The fresh catch special (tilefish) was another outstanding dish. The salsa Verde and sauted greens worked well. The dish included sauted plantains. These also were very good, but I'm not sure how they fit in with the rest of the dish. Overall a very good experience.

Wow just wow! Tried this place for the first time today with my friend. Cute spot overlooking boats on the water. Nathin was our waiter and he was delightful! He checked on us often and made our day even more enjoyable. I had two mojito's that were nice and strong. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, very tasty with bits of crab on the top. I had the salmon sandwich and she had the crab cake sandwich, Parmesan fries were really good. Split a crème brûlée. Made in house and light and tasty. Nathin deserves a big fat raise! He's the best waiter I've had at any restaurant since moving here 1.5 years ago. I eat out at least 6 times a month. We will definitely be back soon. Parking can be tough so get there early.

People, passions, skills and caring are artfully combined at this outstanding intimate, charming and embracing gem of a Craft Bar and neighborhood fine dining experience! From reading/sampling the (creative does not do it justice) beverage menu, a diverse, succinct and dazzling offering of culinary knockouts (we sampled three) and the gracious hosts, we were... overwhelmed. We live in Tucson AZ and have frankly traveled in most states in this great country and journeyed to scores of nations across the globe. RARELY have we found a place that genuinely earns A BEST of THE BEST of Local Kudos. Loco Jo's does that and even more! But be advised, if you are looking for "same ole same ole" or "just like we had at ________" please do not seek it out. One final note, we really scoped out the room, tables and barstools. We were amongst folks who really were equally as discerning! Thank you Nikki & Chuck!

Outdoor seating is available. Small tables inside and bar seating that was full. It seems the bar is a big hit. After reviewing the liquor menu, I see why. Some really good ones available. We were seated near the entrance at a small table. The server brought us water and took our orders after a few minutes. We ordered beef dumplings as an appetizer and we both ordered blackened ahi tuna tacos medium rare. The tacos come with chips and salsa. Our appetizer arrived fairly quickly and was great. As we were finishing our appetizer, our tacos arrived. From first glance they looked really good. Then everything kind fell after that. The flour taco shells were cold and looked store bought. The cheese was also similar to the store bought shredded Mexican blend. The sauce tasted like mayonnaise and ketchup mixed together. They use way too much purple cabbage with a nice portion of ahi tuna. The taste was ok. The cold shell and cheese kind of stole the flavor from the tuna. The salsa provided had a strange smoky almost chipotle flavor. I think. It left a strange aftertaste. We wanted to give this place a try. Not sure we'll be back. Our server was good. She was attentive and smiled. We still have her a cash tip that was pretty good. The restaurant has a great vibe and has a lot of regular customers, as evidenced by everyone greeting each other as they entered. Overall, I think three stars is fair. I recommend giving it a try, but not for tacos.

We were greeted by very friendly staff that seated us in a back corner. No foot traffic over there. Server came by for drink orders and we had some time to look over the large menu. It is your typical diner food. Big portions and all fresh made. We tried the Henny Penny sandwich with side of fries and the Reuben with side of fries. Chicken was cooked perfectly on this wonderful roll. Looked delicious. The Reuben meat was chopped and mixed with the sauce and sauerkraut. Very easy to eat this way. And I love the marble rye bread. Not sure where they get their bread but both sandwiches were amazing. Fries were hot and crispy too. This is a great spot right in the middle of Southport. When we finished and left, almost every table was full, even outside tables. There are only about 8 tables inside, so when they are busy, I'm sure there is a wait.
