This arrangement was huge.

I'm surprised to see the iffy reviews for this EA shop - I've ordered arrangements from this location many times as gifts, and have received one or two myself. They have always done a stand-up job of putting a nice, full-looking basket together. I know they are quite pricey though. Compared to some of the other local Edible Arrangement shops I've ordered from these guys have done a great job. The delivery has always been on time as well. I will continue to order from them for local gifts in Burke.

This place is a delight and will now be my preferred bakery spot for breads or a last minute…read moredessert need! The desserts and cakes are gorgeous. They have everything from small bites like cookies and pastries to full size cakes & tarts. They also have single serve slices of some of their cakes like the chocolate mousse cake. We went for breakfast sandwiches and tried both of the base bread options. The snowflake bread was soft and pillowy (my favorite) and the brotchen bread was slightly crisper & a little bit saltier, also amazing. Eggs are fluffy and a great portion size. Added cheese to each and smoked bacon. A delightful breakfast treat. On the way out, I got a baguette for a last minute appetizer need. It was so soft and freshly baked (and big!). I'm going back today for more fresh bread. There's also plenty to shop for like mustards, jams, cheese and charcuterie, grab and go items, and beverages. This place has summer chalet vibes & is very upbeat and friendly. Lines can get long during typical busy hours, so it's not super quick if you're in a rush. Great place to come relax.

This place is a bit out in the sticks but I found occasion to be in the area and was thrilled. As one might expect, their pastries were lavish and had many different ways of delivering chocolate. I saved only a seasonal Sakura for myself as we approach cherry blossom season. I got a large spread which was consumed by a happy group. Adding a farmer's bread, which was a light rye, as well as some imported German butter, also went over well. I did not have need of the imported chocolates and other packaged goods, but there was certainly plenty there worthy of perusal.

I WANTED to give this place my business and they made it more or less impossible to do so…read more My coworkers and I wanted to do karaoke after work on Friday. Since Annandale has so many karaoke spots, I asked for a recommendation from my cousin, and she said Cafe Chocolate has the better music, etc. She said since there's only 5 karaoke rooms, getting reservations is best, and that the rooms were about $40/hour. I called them about 2 days before, and they said they didn't take reservations and that it was first come first serve. Hm, okay. My cousin thought, well, maybe they recently changed that policy. My coworkers decided then that we'd come right after work to make sure we could get a room. Firstly, we get there and they tell us it's $60/hour, no matter if we get the smaller room or the medium sized room. Why are both rooms the same price? Second, the menu is mostly bar food and no actual food. We just came from work and we were really hungry. Not to mention, the prices were terrible. It was like $9 for a plate of fries. The worst is that even though we were already contemplating trying somewhere else to go, the people explicitly suggested to us "maybe you should go somewhere else." They didn't even want us? Our theory was maybe because we weren't planning to get drunk, that we weren't worth using up a room. Who knows. Also, I told my cousin about all of this, and she was pretty shocked. She also went here last weekend, and they definitely only charged her $40/hour. Now I'm pretty convinced they just didn't want our business for some odd reason or other.

The price was a bit expensive at $14-$15 an omurice The egg skin on top covered the whole rice and was very satisfying! The only complaint I have is it would be nice to eat it without having to inject some second hand smoke but that's probably not able to be changed since this place is a bar where smoking indoors is allowed. In terms of the kareoke experience (I had come for my friends birthday party), I loved it! The song selector was easy to use after we figured out the buttons which were all in Korean (motivation to learn Korean!) and they had a SUPER updated list of songs I love it!! :)

The last time I went to Rafagino I gave it 5 stars, sadly I had to take off one star. Mostly…read morebecause I didn't have the same feelings as I've had with my previous visits. The bread that was served was spicy and orange ( not traditional) - we had just returned 2 days earlier from a European trip and at no time received bread like this at our table. I wish I had been warned about the bread by the server because I can't tolerate spicy foods. It's ok that the menu had changed- my favorite lobster dish was gone. And the wine that we ordered was not available ( it was as explained that a new wine list was being printed- so to taste the wine from DOURA valley again was not going to be possible ). Our meals were good mine was the fried shrimp and my husband's was pasta and sausage - he commented that he would have like a little less sauce and more pasta ( being Italian he likes pasta and I noticed that there was only a bit on the plate) I had told the server that we were celebrating our anniversary- after dinner she came out with a tray of desserts and said we would like you to have a dessert to celebrate your anniversary. So we picked on to share and asked for a cup of coffee. We mentioned that was a nice gesture for the restaurant. We discovered later that it was not a gesture at all. The dessert was added to our bill. All and all it was a nice evening out. We will go again in about a year or two to look at their new menu and wine list. I am hoping for an improvement. If not. I will need to find another favorite restaurant.

Intimate | portions | community…read more Intimate Rafagino offers a warm, intimate dining atmosphere that feels more like a neighborhood gathering place than a chain-style restaurant. The smaller setting and attentive service create a relaxed, personal experience that works especially well for date nights or quiet meals with friends. Portions Portions are generous and satisfying. Pasta dishes and entrees arrive hearty and filling, often with enough for leftovers. It's comfort-style Italian that doesn't hold back on quantity. Community There's a strong community feel here -- from the welcoming tone of the staff to the loyal local customer base. The restaurant reflects a family-first ethos that shows up in both service style and operating approach. Pro tip: Check the hours before you go. They keep limited days and times -- mostly late lunch and dinner service -- which reflects their family values and operating philosophy.
