If you are looking for a dessert to impress at your next gathering at home or work, Sam is your guy. The cakes (which can also be ordered as mini individual sized options) are CRIMINALLY good. I use the work criminal since there is no true storefront for this place since it leads you to a townhouse community. You text Sam at the number listed, he sends you back an email for online payment, and once the order is ready you receive a text indicating it is ready for pickup from an outdoor refrigerator located outside the aforementioned townhouse unit, much like picking up a stash of cash/drugs at an unspecified dropoff location in Grand Theft Auto. Just go on the website to browse the options of cakes which taste as delicious as they are visually stunning. I can attest that the strawberry passion mousse cake and the classic black forest cake are light and airy, not overpoweringly sweet, and the individual components of chocolate, fruit, and cake are high end restaurant quality. If one were planning a heist, usually you need a wheel guy for the getaway, a hacker guy to break into the security system, a conman to talk your way into the location, and occasionally a gunman/strongman in case plans go awry. So yummy! We've ordered the chocolate hazelnut cake and other cakes for birthdays a few different times and we will continue to order from the Chocolate Passion Pastry. Orders are always completed in a timely manner and we absolutely love the recipes. This website and place are rather unique. It requires a bit of trust because the order process is online and through phone conversations but the cakes are out of this world! The cakes are decadent, light, full of flavor and not overly sweet. The texture is to die for. I ordered the tiramisu cake. Very European in delivery and taste! I will only buy my cakes from here! Amir and Sam continue to exceed expectations for beautiful presentation and very good pastries that I get for my husband for his birthday and other special occasions. I ordered the Strawberry Mousseline for a retirement party I threw last week and it was a BIG HIT!!!! Sam was professional and oh so accommodating! The cake was decadent, light and just great on the sweetness. This is the first bakery I've come across in the area that actually specializes in "chiffon" cakes. I grew up in Hawaii, and am accustomed to chiffon cakes. I LOVE chiffon vs. regular cake because I feel like regular cake is too dense and filling. TL;DR: need a cake??? You've come to the right place. But you will not just get any, ordinary cake: you'll achieve self-actualization, become that cool guy at social gatherings, taste the rainbow, learn to love again, cure the occasional lady/man period, vizualize songs, and believe in humanity. The search is over. Detailed review: Tried their chocolate delight the first time today. The taste and the service was phenomenal especially for the price. The chocolate delight with little gold leaves was rich, and chocolatey. It was like taking a bite of chocolate truffle. The sponge cake wasn't squishy or spongey, it was more soft and melt in your mouth-It goes really well with the yummy, chocolate glaze it's covered in. Also it's not diabetes-sweet like too much frosting or a spoonful of white sugar and butter. Its sweet like a swiss chocolate or high-end fudge. Albeit, I couldn't taste the gold-i don't think I was suppose to. Anyways if you wanted to taste the gold, pick it up and try it yourself bc it gets lost in the chocolate (which is not a bad thing!!). Packaging and presentation is a 5/5. They even precut the cake. Also the cake is delicate, it's really easy to mess up when you start picking it up. The person handling this cake did a truly amazing job making sure it got to the house in it's best form. The delivery fee was only $5 (Fairfax). If I could give more stars for the service I would. I spoke with Amir over the phone. He was really down to earth, he told me about their new customer promotions (I got $5 off a 10 inch cake), he delivered the cake the same day I ordered, and he helped me out when I was having trouble with the payment system online. (They care for their customers). He was telling me about having a store front soon which will have cakes on display. Really try this bakery out. Especially if you want to impress friends or families. And don't flag this post thinking it's fake-its not. I'm just so happy I finally found a bakery that is just the right price with a quality, taste and service as good as this one. read more

We needed a Tiramisu birthday cake and Sam was great at recommending a size for 10 people. The process for ordering, payment, pickup and timing was smooth and simple. We picked the cake at the arranged time from the refrigerator outside a residential area with my name labeled on it. The best part, the cake was incredible. Amir made our wedding cake and it was AMAZING! He made us the white chocolate truffle cake. We asked for some design modifications and he made it just the way we wanted. But most importantly the taste.. it was so good! So moist and not too sweet and with the tartness of the raspberries... wow. We couldn't have asked for something better! Wegmans used to make a cake very similar to this but they don't make it any more. So when he recommended this cake to me I knew it was the one. Thank you Amir for such an amazing dessert! read more

Meet the Business Owner: Ehsan Sam A.

Ehsan "Sam" Azizi, born in Geneva, Switzerland, and schooled at the French culinary school, L'Académie de Cuisines, he has had the privilege of learning from some of the best French chefs in the industry. Under the guidance of culinary greats like White House Executive Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier, chocolatier extraordinaire Jacques Torres, G.J. Bellouet, and Dominique Leborgne (now deceased; former owner of Washington, D.C.'s Le Palais du Chocolat) Sam has truly become a master of the art. For a couple of years after graduation he worked as a Sous-Chef at the Old Angler's Inn, a high scale French Restaurant in Great Falls area. For the next ten years Sam worked at the Palais de Chocolat as a Pastry Chef Assistant and two more years as a Pastry Chef. With 35 years in the food industry, Sam started his own pastry business and spent 12 more years focusing exclusively on catering for high-end restaurants.

I wish there was more marshmallow filling in the S'mores onut. Croissant Tarts - Both the sweet and savory tarts deliver! The Raspberry Cream Cheese Tart, Red Pepper Feta Tart, Apple Tart, and Everything Tart are all delicious! The classic Garlic Spinach Tart and Shroom Tart are fine. Best Croissants - Christmas Tree Raspberry Croissant, Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse Croissant, Apple Butter Crumble Croissant, Almond Croissant, and Matcha Croissant. The Berry Brioche Tart was fun to try, but not my favorite. The cookies are pretty light and fluffy, the Lemon Cheesecake Cookie tasted like a lemon sugar cookie with no filling. The Kitchen Sink cookie was an interesting blend of salty flavors (chips, pretzels, toffee). For Valentine's Day, the Linzer sugar cookie filled with raspberry jam was delicious! So glad I grabbed the last one by 11am on Saturday! For Mother's Day, there were colorful macaroons. All of the fillings with the donuts and croissants are whipped and pretty light. There's a parking garage next door and you can get parking validated for 1 hour. While there's plenty of seating inside, it can get packed over the weekends. I don't know if the cover was on right, or if my movements made the top come off. I couldn't blame anyone. I did go back and had them replace the top since the other fell on the ground outside. It had a thin layer of raspberry filling that had the perfect blend of slight tartness that totally complimented the incredibly rich, smooth creaminess of the white chocolate in between the cake layers....wow. As a person who LOVES fluffy AND moist cakes, let me tell you that this cake meets both criteria. Usually moist chocolate cakes tend to be dense and heavy. Leaving this here after no response via email from owner…read more I am extremely upset about the extra $60 in undisclosed 'taxes' required by the camp this year and the manner in which the issue has been handled by this business. We have been multi-child camp attendees since 2022, and I have invoices that have never been as deceptive or as outlandish as this years magic 'uncollected' tax request. I should not have paid it now that I have looked back at past invoices. Is this store under new ownership? Why was I charged $36 in fees and then another $60 in 'taxes'? I was told it was a 10% tax- which would be in line with fairfax's prepared food tax and VA state tax I assume, however, this is a CAMP and there is a labor and camp supply charge that I also assume is taxed at a lower rate than the prepared foods? How does a camp have a 10% tax rate? Also, I spent $600 this year, and already paid a $36 fee. Last year I had $900 in camp cost but paid a MUCH lower total of only $54 in fees, no added taxes. Then in 2024 I paid $726.75 for camp but only $43 in fees, again, no additional taxes. How is this year the lowest camp fee @$600 but I am asked to pay $96 in fees/taxes-- that is outrageous and deceptive. Families are on a budget and throwing out extra hidden fees is not acceptable and it is not inline with previous business practises from this establishment. The Manager or Owner should have sent prior WRITTEN communication with a detailed explanation of what occured, and what the price would be- not a phone call by an employee who is not empowered with the information or ability to handle inquiries. We were overcharged for this camp at the last minute, you snuck in hidden fees calling them 'taxes' and you are applying a food tax on camp services. Extremely dishonest business practices.
