TERRIBLE SERVICE!! It was suppose to be a surprise 'congratulations on your marriage' gift but the customer service was AWFUL! (1) The manager gave a delivery range 1pm-5pm and she said she would text/call my friend when it was on the way so my friend could make sure I was home . Well that never happened so each time they attempted the delivery no one was home to accept the gift. (2) My friend had to tell me about the surprise gift so I could make sure I received it. She emerges from the back with NO MASK ON, so clearly she if assembling gifts with no mask on . She gives me the gift and I ask for a bag to place the platter in since I have to walk 30 minutes back home. She says she has no bags. I ask her again " you don't have anything ? Not even a trash bag? ". Suddenly she reaches her hand under the counter and gives me a bag. REALLY! (4) I ask her for tape to secure the lid cause you know I'm walking back 30minutes! Worst experience with the Southport store. Never delivered my order and just like everyone else, you call and go straight to the automated attendant and then the voicemail is full. Don't bother calling those 800#'s because they transfer you right to the same location. Call corporate - 203-774-5357. They opened up a case giving the store 24 hours to respond. They told me if I didn't hear from the store in 24 hours to call them back and they'd issue a refund. Finally -- an hour later -- I receive a confirmation email from the store, but it still shows the old delivery date (July 16th). I called the store to get a delivery date/time; this time it didn't go straight to the auto attendant, but no one answered. I sent them an email from the website and no response. I went back to the confirmation and found the tracking link and it showed they had refunded my order. I called corporate back and they confirmed it, saying the refund will go back to my card in 5-7 business days. read more

No hand sanitizer in sight. We're in the middle of a global pandemic: There's a mask mandate within retail establishments, and more so, they're handling food! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! I ordered some items to be delivered to my daughter on her birthday. Her birthday came and went with no delivery from edible arrangements. I was able to track the order and it did change from order received to order being prepared but that's as far as it got. I called the shop on Southport the next morning and explained to them that I wanted a refund because my order had not been delivered. She asked for the order number, looked it up, and said "ok, I gave you the refund and I sent you an email confirming it." I could tell that was going to be the end of our conversation had I not asked for explanation as to why the order was never delivered. Her answer was "I don't know, I wasn't working yesterday." Again, I could tell that was all she was going to say. No apology, no explanation, and no offer to do anything to try and rectify the situation. Conversation stopped and our call ended. I tried calling back at a later time to speak with a manager but calls were not answered and I was hung up on once. Again, the edible arrangements on Southport is by far the WORST customer service I have ever come across. I am LIVID!, I received an arrangement on Sept 2, 2020. It was the day of my deceased son's birthday, My youngest son wanted to cheer me up with this arrangement and he did. I put it in the refrigerator and decided to eat some Sept 3, 2020 in the evening. I noticed the mold on the strawberries and Decided to call when they were open on Thursday the 4th of September. I ordered from their website, the morning of my anniversary, for a scheduled pickup at the southport location at 4pm (which was an available time and there was indication they were open until 5pm). I arrived to find the store closed at 3pm. I tried calling that day only to find a full voice mail. I called the next day and after an introductory message and 'dead air' I continued to call back over and over until about the 6th phone call when someone picked up. I explained I ordered online for a 4pm pickup the previous day and with no notifications showed up to find they closed at 3pm. She said she called me the previous day three times, to which I explained I have several phone calls from yesterday but none from her and certainly no voice mails from her. I checked the order and it has the right phone number and e-mail. She says they refunded the order, in spite of all of this I was still interested in potentially picking it up/re-purchasing today; however, after explaining how I definitely have no voice mails and they could have left one if they did indeed call she simply hung up on me. It's unbelievable after reading other reviews that this experience seems to be common place and this is now my first ever online review; because, I'm shocked how anyone could run a business like this. Every year my sister sends me an Edible Arrangement for my birthday. I received mine around 2pm on February 26th. I promptly put it in the fridge for consumption later. Around noon on February 28th, I took out my arrangement to enjoy. Once I took the plastic off I noticed that a strawberry had grown mold. It wasn't a huge deal, I figured they'd send a replacement or a refund. I took a couple pictures. When I got a free moment around 2pm I called the location to get this corrected. The woman who answered the phone was very rude to me. She sighed as I read her the order number and seemed frustrated. Once looking up the order she told me she was the one to make the arrangement and there was no mold. She stated that they use fresh fruit and I must have done something wrong. She accused me of waiting days to call and stated that I must have not put it in the fridge. I had called 48 hours after my delivery and in fact had stored the arrangement in the fridge. Instead of trying to work with me she got defensive and insisted it was my fault. After a while, she said I needed to call back when the owner was there, but she didn't know what day he would be. I decided I'd contact cooperate instead of playing phone tag. There is no reason fresh fruit should get mold after 48 hours. She could have simply apologized and had a new one sent out. At the least she could have offered to have the owner contact me rather than telling me to call back. This was a simple situation that could have had an easy fix. Worst Service EVER I've used the service of other Edible Arrangements locations and service was excellent. However, this location was the worst case of customer service I've experienced with any company. If I could give a negative star rating, it would be appropriate for this store location. I placed an online order with this store location for same day delivery (Wed). The store cancelled the order and reissued it to another location (same owner) for the next day delivery (Thurs). I was never given a clear reason as to why the order was not prepared and delivered as initially requested. When I checked the status on Fri. the order was not delivered on Thurs, nor had they made any attempt to deliver by the time I called on Fri. At this point I cancelled the order and requested a refund and was told one would be issued. You would think the story ends here, but it doesn't. Each time I followed up on the status of the refund, I was told it was being processed. This was not only communicated to me, but also to corporate office because I alerted them of how this store was doing business under Edible Arrangements brand. Finally, after more than a week of getting the run around, and giving the local store plenty of opportunity to resolve the issue (but to no avail), the corporate office took control and provided closure. read more

I hate that I have to leave a bad review- My husband surprised me for our anniversary with some chocolate covered bananas. He is a frequent shopper at this location. This time when I took my first bite the banana was gooey and dark brown. I immediately spit it out! When I called the women told me it was my husbands fault because he was unable to wait another 20 min to let the chocolate freeze because the freezer wasn't cold enough... This is after he already had waited 30 min after his pick up time! I argued with the women that the chocolate was not the issue and it was the banana. Worst experience. I called and ordered a Holiday Platter for a holiday party. When I went to pick it up, it was the wrong order. They said because I used a groupon, someone didn't put the right order in. OK, not my fault. I asked for a refund or for the platter to be made and she said she couldn't. This was around 1:30pm. She finally agreed to make one but said to come back at 4pm. My friend stops in at exactly 4pm to pick it up. IT'S CLOSED. She waits 15 minutes then nobody. Why tell us to come back when you're going to be closed. Yelp says it should be open until 7pm. Then 30 mins later a really nice delivery man calls and says he can deliver it for me. He said they are short-staffed and it's only him handling the store. I asked if he had the platter. Nope, it was the original arrangement they messed up on. I asked him not to deliver and have the manager or owner call me back. Nothing. I called again today (super rude lady answered) for the same request to have a manager or owner call me back. I told the rude lady it was closed at 4pm. She said it's open until 7pm. Obviously it wasn't!!! Still nothing from management. At the end of the day, I ordered a $49.99 platter that never made it to my holiday party, no explanation, no refund. Every person said Groupon causes confusion and that the orders get put in wrong.
