This is the second attempt my husband tried to surprise me with an arrangement. The first attempted to show up after business hours. The second one arrived after I left for the day, around 4pm, after my husband called at 1:30 saying they were going to deliver within the hour, which didn't happen. The delivery attempt was made at 4:30 in which my co-worker put the arrangement in the fridge. I went back later that night to pick them up and when we got home to open the arrangement, there were moldy strawberries. I've tried calling several times and no one has answered. This one star review is based on the service I've received today, Valentine's Day. I ordered my fiance the "Valentine's Day Berries - 12 count" for Valentine's Day. I paid $75.35 including the $14.99 delivery, which is honestly a ridiculous and astronomical price. I set the delivery location to be at his job so that he could be surprised. I found out on Monday, 2/12, that the entire company would be attending an off site meeting on 2/14 and would not be back until after 12pm. I immediately called Edible Arrangements and explained the situation, saying I could cancel my order or, if they could just guarantee an afternoon delivery, (not a time, just an afternoon delivery) I would just leave it. The lady on the phone assured me this could be done. Awesome. Today, 2/14, I receive an email for confirmation of delivery at 10am. I call Edible Arrangements to see what is going on because I was assured an afternoon delivery and was met with little to no answers, apologies or accomodations. The girl I spoke to on the phone said they had decided they were doing all the businesses that morning so they had changed it to an AM delivery. WHY was I assured this could be done sometime in the afternoon if the information I had conveyed didn't matter? She then asked if I had could text my fiance to see if he had received the order, after I explained several times he was NOT at the office, no one from the company was supposed to be in the office to receive it and that he did NOT know I was doing this. She then offered that she could call him, which completely defeats the purpose of me trying to send a gift and surprise him. She told me she would call to try to find out what happened. I received a call back from her to let me know that SOMEONE had signed it but she couldn't confirm who and that I should still text my fiance later to make sure he's the one that got it. He works in an office building with tons of other people... so am I just supposed to hope that someone from another company, or his company, is nice enough to actually give him the nearly $80 strawberries I paid for? Best of all, throughout everything the employee had a "it is what it is" attitude and seemed completely unconcerned by the dilemma THEY had created. Terrible resolution. Terrible customer service. No apologies. No offer of compensation for the inconveniences. I will never use their services again. read more

I walked into this location this morning at 8.30. I said good morning, got a lazy sleepy reply from behind the counter. One girl was sitting down and the gentleman was standing next to her. The fridge was empty. I asked if they have any ready to go arrangements that I could buy. They said no. I asked how long is it going to take them to make one. The girl replied, about 30 minutes, if it is easy and does not require dipping. I asked how this is possible that in a place where I expect to get fruit arrangements I cannot get any when the store is open? They replied, not in the nice, customer friendly manner, that they open at 8 (it is 8.30 when I am there), then they get the dipping sauce and they start putting things together so they have them ready by 9.30 or so. All was said in the same, unengaged way. At that point I said thank you and left. Couple of things: Why is the store open at 8 If there is nothing I can get at this time? If it is a service oriented place, the employees should at least show concern that they cannot help the customer? Certainly not happy with my experience this morning. Room for improvement. read more

my spouse ordered this as a gift to our niece. they got it and it was spoiled. i found out that this order was passed on to them from their deerfield office. they did not refund me in full or offer to do anything else. the guy that was doing the refund was not intelligent at all and acted like he did not know what's going on. very unprofessional. this company has no product guarantee. what a rip off. will not order from them again. do not order from them. it will ruin your day!!! there good reviews are from family and friends, not customers. read more

Our order was delivered late and we were never notified that it was delivered. I called the store they never answered. I called several times and was on hold. My friend said the fruit was good and the arrangement looked nice. I just wish we would have received notification it was delivered or that the website was updated when I tracked the order. It just said being prepared. I was nervous since this was an Easter Gift and I wanted the order to be delivered today as promised. read more

Amazing!!! Literally at the very last minute called this morning for a RUSH delivery. I had a million questions and requests. The lady on the phone was wonderful. She was extremely kind, very patient and helpful. She made she to accommodate all requests. The delivery came, it is beautiful looks incredible!! Let me start by saying that had I got the proper communication from both the store and the delivery driver, maybe I wouldn't be leaving this 1-star review. On the Wednesday before Sweetest Day, I decided to send someone a box of chocolate covered strawberries. The day of, I received a phone call stating that no one was available to accept the delivery. Okay, I understand that this is not just something you leave at the door and I was told the delivery would be sent back to the store. So most people would assume that it would go back to to the store you ordered from right? WRONG! It gets better though. I spent a good 30 minutes driving to this location only to see a dumbfounded look on the employee's face when I asked her about my order. So I pulled up my order on the phone with the confirmation e-mail saying that I ordered from this specific location. I called back the delivery driver who called me earlier and told me she returned the delivery to the store. The employee and the delivery driver get to talking now and the employee tells her that she'll handle it. So she calls the other store and tracks down my order and then tells me, "Well they can have it delivered, but they're swamped right now, so I don't really know when it will be delivered. I do know that it will be delivered before they close." Well that's GREAT! Obviously, there was an issue with the delivery the first time, why would I take my chances again? So the employee explains to me now that when you order online it gets sent to the location closest to the place that your delivery is going to. Now I must ask, why is there an option to select a different Edible Arrangements location if you don't intend on using that location in the first place? Now I'm the type of person who uses Yelp reviews before picking a place and the location on Shermer had the better ratings, so why wouldn't I use that location? Here's the kicker too, the place they sent it back to, significantly closer to where I was at the time. Now I've just wasted a good hour of my day driving to and from the Northbrook location just to deal with this trainwreck. I probably wouldn't have cared as much either had the employee seemed just a little bit more concerned about my problem instead of giving me this whole "well, it is what it is" type of attitude. Bottom line is, they need a better system of communication with their deliveries for the customers, delivery people, and employees. read more

I stopped by after work to pick up some 12-count box of yummy chocolate Strawberries with the coupon I received along with my arrangement gift my boyfriend had sent me prior. They have other chocolate dipped fruits, but I ordered only the strawberries as I think they are the best. The big chocolate strawberries tasted really good. The semi-sweet chocolate is not too bitter, which I like very much. I will be back for some more soon. ;-) read more

I have ordered from this establishment for several years now. Never been disappointed. The fruit is fresh and the baskets are done like a piece of art! My nurse and office workers enjoy the different fruit baskets that I have purchased throughout the years. Never have I rec'd a phone call of disappointment! As a matter of fact they take a picture showing me how nice it looks! Well worth the money I've spent! I will continue to use this store and very happy with the service they provide! read more

I went there with my Email coupon for a free pineapple cupcake pops on a stick. Their place looks pretty nice. I ask if they have anything ready and the customer girl said they have two bouquets and two different chocolate cover fruit box available. I took the plain chocolate cover strawberry and it was really good when I shared it with my family. read more

Received a gift last Tues. night from this location. Placed in the refrigerator, ate bits and pieces from the top near the opening which appeared to be fine. Two days later, we decided it was time to break down this large arrangement, and place the remainder in Tupperware. The melons had slime all over them, so badly, we couldn't even pull them off of their sticks. The strawberries were all covered with mold. Needless to say, the entire thing had to be thrown out. I buy fresh produce all the time, and it lasts more than 2 - 3 days. This is a disgrace that they would not only use food that is apparently older already, but to take someone's money (at least $100 for this) and sell something like that to them! Please people... don't waste your money. We told the gift giver, and he made it known to the owner, only to be told they wouldn't do anything about it. They said their food is guaranteed for 24 hours. What??? This they don't tell you!! They claimed there was a little piece of paper explaining all of this. Where?? Taped to the bottom of the container? Dreadful. I just hate to see people waste their money like this on companies that don't deserve the business enough to do a decent job. read more
