My brother found Dr H because he occupied a new Honor Healthcare building close to my brothers house in far north Scottsdale. Since both he and the facility are brand new, they have all the latest medical gadgetry and I've found I can always get in to see him within 24 hours if not the same day. His initial comprehensive examination did not leave a stone unturned and the precise note taking of my medical history(lengthly) made me feel like, by the end of our first appointment, that he had a solid grasp and understanding of my relatively complex medical history. My only concern was that I thought he wouldn't know all the best specialists since he's new here, should I need referrals. No worries! The other doc that practices with him has been here for many, many years, and knows all of the top notch docs to refer out to. The Doc and me bonded over our love of music and travel, along with our love of Arizona and all of it's wonders, amazing history and culture. While I'm just a music aficionado, Dr Ken ( and his wife)are actual first rate musicians, and have already immersed themselves in our local music scene and have been preforming all over town. Most importantly, it is apparent right off the bat that he loves his job and truly cares for all of his patients. Whether you want or need 10 minutes, or 60 minutes, he will carefully listen to all of your concerns and gripes, triumphs and disappointments. HE CARES! The empathy is genuine and I always leave his office feeling better both emotionally and physically. Presently I'm facing a lot of stressful challenges, be they in my life, my kids lives', and my entire family's lives. When you have someone in your life who genuinely cares, and wants to help you to help yourself better learn how to begin tackling the problems/ issues, offer you useful tools to help smooth out the rough patches that we all seem to hit at one time or another, when you have a Dr H.in your life, everything everywhere becomes immeasurably better, and easier to get through. She always has time for me and cares about my well being and my quality of life. When it comes to cosmetic injections...I trust no one else. Everything is set up so perfectly and I'm always in the mood for yoga at her office. The environment is set up so perfectly for meditation. The essence in the air, the lighting and the infrared heating helps me perform well and I feel amazing after I leave her class. I'm very disappointed with my overall experience with Edicine…read more I called the front office to schedule an appointment yesterday for a lingering cough at 1:45pm and she said she didn't have anything available until after 3pm. After talking to her for a few minutes she told me to head over as she'd squeeze me in at 2pm. When I arrived, there were no patients waiting in the lobby which seemed weird that she made it seem like they were fully booked. Nonetheless, the check in process was fast and I was grateful to get in so quickly. The front office staff member took copies of my DL and insurance card, charged my card for payment and a few mins after I was taken back. The appointment was very brief; the doctor checked my vitals, throat and ears and wrote a prescription for antibiotics. The medical assistant asked for my preferred pharmacy and I gave her the cross roads. I received a voicemail this morning from THE WRONG PHARMACY 20 minutes away from where I live... stating the prescription needed prior authorization and had not been filled due to insurance issues. I called Edicine and left a voicemail as soon as their office opened explaining that I needed a different prescription sent out to the Walgreens by my house and stated the address in full, including my full name, DOB and call back number. I have called Edicine 6 times today and have not heard back from anyone. I'm going out of town tomorrow morning and it feels like a complete waste of time and money getting seen by their facility when they completely screwed up the most important part. I'm extremely frustrated to say the least.

The practice has gone downhill since it was absorbed by Optima, just another Walmartlike company absorbing doctors' offices. I would not recommend them for care and with Dr. Levins being gone, they don't even have physicians at Tatum Highlands anymore, just PA's and NP's, according to their website. Reading through other reviews, I will also state that it is hard to get prescriptions sent in correctly. Cathy was very hard to work with even after multiple calls to her. I also had billing issues because whomever is doing the coding obviously doesn't know how to do their job. My annual physical this year was coded as a high regular visit. As cumbersome as it will be, I am finding a new PCP that actually has a physician at their practice that offers patient-centered care

Previously they were fantastic about communication and responding to prescription refill requests. Over the past 6 months they've gotten progressively worse and worse. Calling to refill the prescription used to be a same day affair, instead now they delay and I'm lucky if I can even get them on the phone when I call. Unfortunately with medication shortages, their slow speed at faxing/electronic prescriptions has yielded delays in me getting my medications. It means I have to call back repeatedly and hope that they have some urgency. Since they were acquired by a different practice, their care quality has gone down significantly. Given the longevity of being there, I'm giving them another chance, but if not I'll have to find somewhere new.

No one at this office told me at the time that they did not negotiate with my insurance when I made the appointment or when I was there; otherwise I would have gone elsewhere. Now, 1year and 9 months later I am dealing with a bill which is ridiculous. Today, I have spent hours on the phone with their billing department and my insurance company trying to figure out what is going on and why I suddenly owe this amount after almost 2 years have passed since I saw the doctor here.
