I was there last night. They were out of brisket. I had burnt ends. They were good but not near enough for a 12 dollar meal. Wife had brisket tacos and again not enough food for the money. You pay at the counter and given a number. The help was great. I smoke meat and was really looking forward to the brisket. My burnt ends totaled a quarter of a cup with grits underneath. I hate grits. The cornbread had a good taste. I will probably never eat there again. I thought it was to expensive. But, you have to remember that it is in north Chattanooga and everything there is a bit higher. The food was good just not enough of it. read more

This is always a solid place to go if you're looking for some tasty food with quick service. If you've never been to an Edley's before it's set up with a bar and a separate area to order food; you get a number and then they bring it out to you. Their sides rotate based on availability; however, they always have quite a few to choose from. It's easy to get your food to go or to eat there. I've gotten the fish tacos multiple times which are always tasty. I also enjoy their mac & cheese and collard greens. Recently got the cornbread and found that it was unique with jalapeños in it. I've also had their spiked milkshake before which is extremely tasty and can be dangerous as you don't taste the alcohol at all. read more

Burnt Ends was nothing but small cubes of fat and little meat. More than half my meal was fat. The flavor was good but $12 for cubed fat is pretty pricey...not to mention that fat should not be served in the first place. Good way to make money off scraps. Don't believe me? My husband and I tried out Edley's for the first time today and we are so happy we did! The food was exceptional along with the cool atmosphere! We got the brisket nachos and enjoyed the beautiful weather on the patio with our pup! They weren't very busy as it was lunch so we got to enjoy most of the patio to ourselves! Man oh man oh man! If you would have told me that I would be tasting some of the best chicken wings I have ever allowed to go into my mouth and down my stomach in Chattanooga, Tennessee on a Monday night, I would have called you a liar! Chattanooga isn't very close to Charlotte, so when I discovered that this beautiful city was on my route to Sanibel, Florida, I realized that it was very feasible for me to stop by and see my buddy who was born and raised in this mountain field city. Low and behold, Frenchie took me to a fantastic Bar-B-Q joint known as Edleys to have a try! Well let me tell you! Our service was absolutely superb, and the food was even better. While this young man wasn't our server, he continually filled our drinks while our server was tending to other guests. This made us feel very well respected, and comfortable while waiting for our food. The prices are very competitive! If you're ballin' on a budget, I definitely suggest visiting Edley's for a great meal and an even better time! They also have a lot of craft beers on tap, and PBR for those budget ballers! Their list of cocktails is also superb. I would definitely recommend checking out Edley's at any time of the year. This has turned into my favorite BBQ joint in my area. I love the outdoor space and hope this summer they add in a few more umbrellas. There is not wait service on the deck however, you seat yourself and after deciding what you would like you walk up to the bar window and place your order there, so refills and such are up to you to hop up and ask for them.. no biggie in my opinion, but may be for some. Sitting at the bar (inside or out) is what we typically do and the staff has always been incredibly informative and friendly. We sat at one of the high-tops our first time in and not only did I find it very confined, I felt bad for the staff trying to squeeze in and serve without disturbing the other tables. My only other turn off before sharing my praises of the food and drinks is the side dish presentation. Each side is in little plastic cups & while it is always more than enough food, something about those cups makes it appear skimpy and cheap when everything else feels like a hip bbq joint. So food.... everything has been great. I am no longer eating carbs, but before this diet change, the cornbread with a sweet taste and chunks of jalapenos was to die for! The brisket and pulled pork tacos are amazing. Not a fan of the mac and cheese, found it to be almost tasteless. Now that I am eating low-carb & gluten-free, the pulled pork platter is my go-to and there are a nice variety of acceptable sides for me to chose from. The wings are a MUST try! I order them dry with sauce on the side & ranch (they have great ranch). No batter and a great smoky flavor with nice crispy skin and moist flavorful meat. Yummmm! They have a nice selection of draft beers but again... I am low-carb now so I chatted with the bartender and she came up with a drink of muddled fresh cucumber, mint and lemon, vodka and seltzer water. Generous serving of meat and cornbread but the sides were tiny (they used the little plastic containers that people put Togo sauces in). Tough, dry ribs, good sides, good bar, Very Loud. When you have to order at the counter, and there is no meat menu, and then you have to saw thru tough, dry ribs with your plastic knife, you know you are not in a true Southern BBQ joint. Love Edleys! Today I had a salad with fried chicken and homemade blue cheese dressing. It was delicious. It was just the right size, too which I appreciate as sometimes entree salads can be quite small. The kids meals are a great value. Came here on a Monday for trivia night and was very pleased overall. The service an food were both great. We ordered the Nachos with chicken and finished the order. I really wanted to love the food here. The location is great, atmosphere is great. I'm sure it will be a fun place in the summer with the outdoor part. However, I was very underwhelmed with the food, which is surprising after the reviews I read. My pulled pork had a lot of fat in it, the potato salad had a strange flavor I couldn't pinpoint, the mac and cheese was bland, the baked beans were mush, they don't allow fries as a side item...only as an appetizer (this is ridiculous), my daughter's grilled cheese was absolutely burnt, and the nachos came on potato chips instead of tortilla chips, which was not indicated in the menu. The bbq sauce was good, and a friend said they liked the banana pudding, but overall we were very unimpressed and probably won't return. read more

This place was great! I got the Kermit, which is their pulled pork sandwich with jalapeno ranch and fried pickles. They have a plethora of options for sides and I got their collards and grit casserole. One of my co-workers got the Brunswick stew which was SO good! It had a nice little kick to it. We got the fried pickles as an appetizer and split an order of fries. They had some cajun/creole seasoning on them, which was good.
