Haven't been to Tupelo Honey in years. I ordered the southern shashouska and coffee. The coffee wasn't the greatest and I noticed they didn't get it from a coffee pot but from a carafe. The southern shashouska was good and kept me full for several hours. I didn't order any biscuits since they are known for that. We sat at the bar since it was busy and didn't want to wait for a table. The service and food was okay, nothing special, probably won't go back to this location. I enjoyed the one in Asheville better.

Epic epic EPIC chicken!! Came here with my family for lunch and we were seated right away. Great service in the bar area which was nice and quiet so that we could enjoy our conversation. Tupelo Honey's menu is what I call good Southern comfort food. I wish there was one of these where I live in Atlanta. I would definitely be a regular. If you grew up in the South, the flavors will be familiar. This chicken is brined for 18 hours and is packed with flavor and the skin is so crispy!! And juicy is an understatement. Just perfect. The veggies were stunning as well. The green beans were well seasoned and loaded with smoky bacon flavor! The mashed potatoes paired well and were delicious. I highly recommend Tupelo Honey if you are from up North and you want to get a true sense of Southern Cuisine. This place does it WELL!!

Server was nice, but seemed unfocused. I had eaten all of my appetizer before she remembered that she hadn't gotten my drink yet. Everything was good except the Mac & cheese. It tasted like Kraft. I had the fried chicken, sauce on the side, green beans, brussels (perfect amount of crisp), fried pickles and peach lemonade. Chicken fried crispy! So good! Try everything except the Mac lol ambiance was a nice southern flair.

Food first, thoughts after... We stumbled upon this brunch place while traveling to Chattanooga. Did not have reservation and originally was going to have to wait 15 minutes but a spot opened up. They are celebrating their 25th birthday and giving free biscuits. Overall the food was good and the portion sizes were huge. Just the way I like it! I would definitely come back.

Great food nice location enjoyed the vibe of this location. My server was not on point but the staff seem to be on point. Blue berry jelly was absolutely Delicious Food is absolutely Delicious and decent portions for price point.Plenty of seating available. Now for the negatives the coffee was not hot I had to ask my server twice for cream and sugar. She lacked attention to detail and very rarely came around to our table. Parking to get to this location was not that great.

I have been to Savannah Georgia and had southern food from the motherland,,, and this place was very comparable. Our waiter was the best. He was very helpful with suggestions and was patient with some of the slow ordering people in my party. The food was amazing. The drinks were the best. I had the old fashioned flight and it was the first time I had a flight like that. The place was very open and not cluttered at all with tables. Very clean inside and out. We will definitely be back.

2nd time to Tupelo Honey. Last time was YEARS AGO.... more than 5 years ago... and I came for the promotional beer glass. Back then they were still troubleshooting their fusin food menu. It was good... but I'm foodie snob... they had room for improvement. That was the Chattanooga location back then. Today at the St Elmo location one... everything SLAPPED!! We were even bummed we couldn't do cat cafe... and the food hear filled the kitty void with delicious food. My kid got blackened Mahi mahi, mac and cheese and fries. All yum. I got the surf and turf served over creamed Spanish and fried potatoes. Aperol Sprize to drink... okay... but never seen this drink before so it was the obvious choice. Then finished with the banana pudding and Mississippi mud pie mini tasting dessert. Oh... and signed up for club and got to sample the biscuits for free. The blueberry sauce and butter on their biscuits is definitely worth your time. Tristan was our waiter and he was cool and super helpful. Kid wants to bring daddy back here ASAP.

Great spot. Chicken is their Jam, but they have a limited but diverse menu with breakfast items served throughout the day. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with Green Beans and Goat Cheese Grits and my companion had the Chicken BLT. Both were very good. Calista was our server and did a fantastic job. Parking tip; if you can snag a parking spot in front of the restaurant parking is free for the first 2 hours. Go to the parking kiosk and choose customer and put in your LP# and you're good to go.

I wish I had gotten a pic of the chicken and waffles that have been living rent free in my head ever since we tried them. We split an order and they were nice enough to send it to us on two plates - already evenly split - nice touch. It's a modern cool vibe, you can see the cooks in the kitchen working their tails off. I'll be back.

Every one of the sides looks so good and fresh that I wanted to get each one of them just to try it! The fish was cooked perfectly and was nice and tender. The added little muffin I didn't expect was a nice touch and delicious. The collard greens were SO GOOD. I'd get them again. So flavorful and cooked well. The beets were fresh and the goat cheese carried so much flavor. For the desserts, we got the carrot cake with pecans and chocolate cheesecake. Both were soooo good. I would get both of them again, especially the carrot cake which was so warm and moist. And the candied pecans were such a nice complement to the cake - not too sweet at all. The ambience is super nice and fresh, and our server was so sweet and engaging. The hostess as well. Everybody there was so nice and welcoming. The fried chicken came out hot, crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. You could literally see the juices coming out of the chicken, and every bite was delicious. The customer service was excellent as well. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the meal. I also enjoyed the atmosphere. The walls were covered in dollar bills and license plates, which gave the restaurant a lot of character and made it feel like a place with stories to tell. We got to choose our table and had friendly service the whole time. Note that although the service is pretty good, the food coming out was a little slow. We got the 3 chicken tender basket, catfish basket, the smoked buffalo wings, and banana pudding. The buffalo wings were the highlight. Great smokiness coming through the wings. Just a little bit of heat from the buffalo sauce. Highly recommend. Everything else was pretty good. The chicken was tender, and good crisp to the outside, and good seasoning. The catfish was pretty good too although they were pretty thin so didn't get quite as much of the crunch to tenderness contrast that I like in a catfish. Also, their tartar sauce is too sweet. I prefer more tang on the sauce. I think the sauces run sweet as I thought the champy sauce was a little too sweet over mustard-y. Good fries with great texture and seasoning. I also got the green bean sides which were a little soft but great, depth of flavor as it was clearly cooked with pork. The potato salad was good if not memorable. The kids loved the banana pudding. A little too much of the cream and not enough pudding but otherwise worth getting. All in all a strong chicken spot to visit while in Chattanooga.

It was also a beautiful day so we sat on the patio. I love that they work with local organizations for fresh vegetables and meat! Our waiter was very nice and fairly attentive. But the food... For the good - the crab cake was delicious. It was like all crab meat with no filler and was very tasty. The pimento cheese was also SO yummy. You could tell it was made fresh and had a great flavor. The pita it came with was fine, a little over-grilled. I was not crazy about the fried okra. I wish the pieces weren't just cut in half, because to me they had that slimy okra texture inside. My gf said they weren't THAT bad, but I really had to push myself to eat them. The rosemary fries have a great flavor and were crispy (I prefer thicker fries but my gf enjoyed these). I LOVE mac and cheese and was super excited to try theirs. It was very creamy and had a good flavor but there was way too much cheese for the amount of noodles. Like the ratio was pretty off. Now for THE issue. My gf ordered the Filet Mignon, medium. It came raw and without the blue cheese compound butter. By the time the waiter came to check on us, I was half done eating. He took the steak to be put back on the grill and brought it back with a bowl of crumbled blue cheese. It was still raw inside. He brought us extra fries, but by the time it came back I was done eating. She asked for it to go and it was STILL RAW. She had cut it, so it was super obvious if you looked. The manager came and talked to us and they took it off the bill, but for a $40 filet mignon it should not take 3 tries to cook it right and it still not really be right. She said there are cold spots on the grill and they're training a new line cook, but it was not a good look... I'd maybe give more of a pass if they were packed, but there was no one eating inside and maybe two other tables of folks outside.
