Edley's is awesome! Everything we ate was delicious and I wish we would've left room for dessert. There's so many options for bbq and sides but I don't think you could go wrong with any of the choices. We ordered the pork sandwich and the hot chicken platter with mac & cheese and baked beans. Cornbread came with the platter meal and it was so good, I wanted to get an extra basket of it just for me. I'm a sweet tea snob and trust me when I say that Edley's knows how to make some sweet tea! We got there somewhat late so we avoided the usual dinner crowd and we really enjoyed the atmosphere and decor of the entire restaurant. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff. You order up at the counter and they give you a number for your table. The food rocked! Tender meat, great sauces, and you could tell they knew what they are doing. The atmosphere is perfect! It matches the industrial style that Manufacturer's Rd has a history of and still does in some parts. The deck is spacious as is the inside. Great place and we will definitely be back. read more

Kind of your typical southern fried food. The environment here is really cool and we'll probably return just for that alone but the food was mediocre. This place was amazing! My first impression was a little confused when we walked in. No host stand or anything. There was a sign to direct us to the back cashier. Read over menu and selected our meals. The wife ordered the shrimp tacos and I ordered the three meat platter. Collard greens (10), beans (10), Cole slaw (10), Bread pudding ((10), and Mac and cheese (6). The Mac left something to be desired. Visited here on vacation. I'm gluten free and they were very accommodating, waitress showed me many options. I ordered the pork platter with beans and coleslaw. Very flavorful. My daughter and her husband ordered wings and pork tacos. Because I'm gluten free I gave them my cornbread , everything was great and they shared my cornbread and said it was wonderful. Chattanooga Barbecue generally really sucks. It is served by restaurants that are "institutions" meaning they have been here for eons and there is perception that they are great. Unfortunately the only thing that is institutional is the taste of the food. Generally day old, dry reheated nastiness. (I'm looking at you Shufords, Rib and Loin, Choo-choo, Nooga-que) Edley's isn't that. This is real barbecue. You can tell everything is fresh. Great pork and brisket. Sides rotate and there are a lot of them the green beans, skillet corn, grits casserole (I don't like grits but this stuff is good!) , brisket chili and Brunswick stew are all very tasty. Even at busy times this place runs efficiently. The staff is friendly and professional and wait times for food are usually lightning fast...even on crowded days they are faster than most restaurants. Don't pass this place up. This and chatterbox cafe are the best bbq places in town by a million miles. read more

Great all-around restaurant experience. Order at the counter, then they bring to your table. Prices are solid, portions are good, and the atmosphere is great, inside and on the patio. We go every Monday with a group of friends for trivia night. The food is awesome. Pretty similar to Moe's across the river except better parking. Not crazy about the chicken but the pork is good. Skillet corn could be an entree. It does take a little while to get a beer which is big time not a great quality for a BBQ joint. read more

Really enjoyed our dinner. When you come to whole foods or the gym I go to, Vive for Women, you can't avoid that delicious BBQ smell that comes from this place. Service: outstanding! We were properly taken care of since we stepped in until we left. We were greated right away, they offered high top sitting near the tvs, my water cup was always full, waitress came to check on us through dinner to make sure we had what we needed. When we got our food she came and check and immediately realized that one of our sides was wrong and went to the kitchen to get it for us. She also brought the drinks pretty quick. Food: perfect temperature, next time I will order the wings with light sauce. We got hot and it had the right kick. The brisket tacos were delicious and had plenty of brisket, although I'm not a fan of jalapenos since they are fried it gave a very good texture and they were not as spicy. Drinks: they have a bunch of beers on tap, they had plenty of IPAs to pick from, I had one of the adult milkshakes to try with a shot of strawberry. Its in a really good and convenient location, plenty of parking, there are so many places you could walk to. Definitely recommend this place it had a good crowd as well. It's our first time here and we've already decided that this HAS to be our new go-to place. It's not busy at this moment in time but it's got a good atmosphere and music. You order at the register and then they bring out the food to you. We ordered the nachos and added the brisket and WOW!!! So freaking good. The first time I went to Edley's everything was great turks special was awesome it was cooked to perfection barely any fat on it. I couldn't stop raving about their grits. This time my sandwich was cold, egg was not over easy it was hard. The meat was almost all fat. My wife and I could only eat one bite. That bite made her I sick so we threw are sandwiches away. I've been here a few times now and I absolutely love the food here. I'm very picky when it comes to BBQ style food and I loved everything I've gotten here so far. My favorite is the shrimp tacos and my husband loves the brisket nachos. The customer service is AMAZING! Honestly it was a full house when we went and I know sometimes things can be a long wait, but it wasn't like that at all. Even if it ever was it's worth the wait just for the food and the experience. This is totally finger lick'n good bbq, and I judge it by Memphis standards. So delicious. The fried dill pickles rivial my favorite soot in Hollywood MS. This has great old town smoke with midtown shabby-chic atmospher. The bar area is the best place to be, good view and hearing of local bands over the canned music inside, plus the barkeep was a Memphis natuve. Just like home!!! We'll be back often. read more

Stopped by here late night on way to Atlanta. 3 of us ordered platters. Pork was moist and flavorful. Catfish well seasoned and breaded crisp. The wings were superb. Everything had a little kick to it. Brunswick stew was meaty. Mac and Cheese was rich and cheesy. Cole Slaw was fresh and vinegar based with peppers. Beans were thick and spicy. Cornbread was good, a little dry though - could have used some butter. Wanted ribs but they were sold out by the time we got there. Maybe next time. We sat outside and placed order at window - you get a number and they bring to you. Dog friendly place just like many in the area. The building is an old warehouse look with lots of stacked cord wood, and a good bbq smoke smell. Staff was very friendly even when we came in 30inutes before closing time. OMG where do I even start?! I seriously want to give them more than 5 stars. We're from out of town- south Florida. Looking for a good BBQ place of course during our trip to TN. We pulled up- and instantly the ambiance was perfect. The smell of the wood and meat from the parking lot especially in the chilly weather. And cute outdoor lights on the patio. We were greeted by the GM- Brian and was taken care of by the amazing server- Felicia. They surprised us by treating us to a little sample of all the different meats and sides they have to offer. We were speechless. The drinks were phenomenal and the food was even better. They checked in on us every 5-10 minutes and treated us better than family. I couldn't believe the hospitality, especially having used to worked in the business for years. What an amazing experience that completely made our trip. Thanks Brian and Felicia. Definitely worth a stop in Chattanooga. We had the ribs that were out of this world. The pulled pork was also delicious. We also had the fried pickles that were fantastic with the side of ranch.
