    Banana pudding
    Candace C.

We had just enjoyed dinner downtown and I was craving banana pudding. The local's suggested Edley's and off we went. The restaurant is nestled in a cute, eclectic yet trendy part of town. Parking can be tricky so plan ahead of dining on a Friday or Saturday evening. I ordered a small banana pudding and it took me four days to finish it. Yes, dessert for four days in a row..YOLO! It was cold, creamy, with bananas and yummy Nilla wafers. Even Nashvillians said Edley's banana pudding is the best in town. Next time I'll have to try the BBQ.

The food was really good. We were craving some good barbecue and our daughter- a relatively new resident of Madison- suggested Edley's. Every dish we ate was really well prepared. Seasoned, cocked to the correct temperature, great presentation... Can't ask for more. It's a place where you order at the counter before you sit down, so very little service. However the staff was friendly and welcoming. I especially enjoyed the pulled pork fries, which were crispy and succulent. I will definitely return when I'm in town again.

When searching for the best banana pudding in Nashville, Edley's came highly recommended. While the banana pudding did live up to its hype, the rest of the food left much to be desired. I think next time if I were to be nearby I would just get the pudding

This was my first shrimp poboy and it DID NOT disappoint! The shrimp was so crispy and the cajun spice was flavorful without being too spicy. Perfect for lunch or a late night bite.

Loved Edley's BBQ on Lebanon Pike and decided to try this location and get it to go. When I called to place my order it was so loud at the restaurant I was yelling to be heard and got so frustrated I hung up. Went to the location to order and it wasn't very busy, but the music was so loud I couldn't hardly even order at the place. I am deaf in one ear so it made it so challenging. First they were completely out of Brisket and out of potato salad. Well we both loved the sample of turkey at the Lebanon Location and decided two Turkey Platters. I also got a half rack of ribs to go. With all the bad vibes I should have just called it quits and found a different restaurant. The Turkey was the pressed together kind like lunch meat, pieces all pr seed into a shape and sliced. It was just absolutely gross and neither of us ate it. I looked up and saw she wasn't eating it either and we both side why is it so different than the first time? What a bait and switch. For the price point getting not an actual Turkey breast but this gross stuff was deeply disappointing. We won't be going back to this location. After the experience at the Lebanon location I wanted to try the ribs. The ribs are not fall all the bone and not super tender. They did have amazing flavor. No sauce needed. A little more time in the smoker for fall off the bone, but the flavor was perfect and incredibly tasty. I wouldn't go out of my way to order them. The beans were different as well. They Lebanon location had like pulled pork in the beans. These had nothing. This must not be the best location. I only got pictures of the Ribs, I was so disappointed in the turkey I tossed it before pictures as it was just wrong. I am not a fan of glued together meat. BBQ is meant to be real meat and this location needs to visit the Lebanon Location and get with the program of great BBQ. Why does the music need to be so loud at this establishment that you can't talk or order food? Doesn't seem good for business.

We didn't even stop to get a photo of our food because it looked so good. We were right! Here is a photo of the end result. Really great BBQ. The cornbread was stellar (coming from someone who usually doesn't enjoy cornbread because it's too dry). Mac and cheese and the sides were incredible! Meat fell off the bone and was perfectly cooked. Service was quick and everyone was very friendly. Loved the atmosphere and if we come back to Nashville, we will be coming back!

Freaking delicious brisket !!!!! We got the tri star combo the chicken and the brisket were the stars of the main course. LOVED the potato salad and the Mac and cheese !!! I'm generally not a vinegar based coleslaw fan but trthis one slapped ! I got the burnt ends. Very tasty on a bed of Cajun grits. We had the fried pickles for an app. Lack luster. I really enjoyed the crunchy bits. Would definately come back for the brisket and chicken hands down ! Loved our server Susie ! #remeberthebananapuddin ;-) **cheers love** you slayed

Cheers to Edley's!!! We were stayng at an AirBnB nearby and had quite a large group so finding a walk in dinner spot was nearly impossible but Edley's was literally perfect! We came by on a Saturday around 5-6PM and we were able to get a large table for our group and the service was fast and efficient! I got the brisket sandwich with a side of mac n cheese and it was delicious. Good brisket and great mac n cheese. It wasn't by far the best brisket I have ever had but it was still good. Honestly one of the main reasons we loved this place is because the service and staff were also so nice. Solid BBQ in east Nashville!

You order as soon as you come in the door grab a number and find a seat. Started with the nachos. They use homemade potato chips. Pretty good. I got a full rack of ribs. Bones slide right out of the meat. Great flavor. Bar has several local beers.

Great BBQ joint. Warm and inviting dining room with, surprise! A country music theme. There is a comfortable bar and a nice patio area, which is where we sat. You order as you enter but from there it is full table service. Food was good! The brisket was very tasty. I like their BBQ sauce. Not too sweet, not too spicey. Sides of beans, and corn were good. The potato salad, my daughter said was the best she's ever had.

I stopped by Edley's Barbecue while on a solo trip to Nashville and had a great experience. I sat at the bar and met Leon, who was incredibly kind and helpful, and he even gave me free drinks and samples, as it was a sad day for me. They were sold out of their secret fried barbecue ribs, but I tried the burnt ends with greens, plus an extra helping on the house. I also had the macaroni, a side of catfish that was seasoned well, and the jalapeño cornbread, which was better than expected. I had a great experience, and I'll definitely go back.

Went on a Sunday, very busy but service and food service was quick and efficient. Had the brisket very tasty with a perfect smoked flavor, baked beans were delicious with a hit of spiciness, macaroni n cheese was tasty with the right amount of breadcrumbs. Good BBQ

When I walked in I, immediately, thought of Haven (RIP https://www.yelp.com/biz/haven-miami-beach-2). From the LED wall to the music to the drinks to the vibe... I didn't feel like I was in Nashville anymore. the back corner stands out and gives Middle Tennesseans something that's not readily available in this area. If you're in the mood for a little coastal cosmopolitanness (is that word? It's not a word), the back corner is about to be your new favorite place. The neighborhood gets things moving in the right direction. For as much as Germantown has (scenic streets, fancy high rises, coffee, good eats) it didn't have a nightlife destination. Putting one here makes a lot of sense. Building off the 5th & Taylor imprint, the back corner starts off fancy (but not pretentious) and builds to memorable. Upon entry, the first thing you notice is the LED wall and stage. With a changing display of electronic intoxication, you're drawn into a world far away from Lower Broad. If you can break your gaze away from the stage, you'll notice the upper and lower lounge seating. Intimate, cozy and a bit mysterious, the seating at the back corner lets you decide whether you want to be front & center or if you're rather sit back and take it all in. You can be as public or private as you'd like. If indoor seating isn't your thing, make your way outside to enjoy the fire pit and Germantown night sky. Just do us all a favor and refrain from smoking. Seeing cigarette butts along the patio or by (in??) the fire pit is not sexy and very off-brand. All the above said and noted, the back corner is not a huge space -- which is a plus and minus. It's a plus because it never becomes the cavernous mess of bass and desperation. The minus is crowds gonna crowd and with a lot of people, the space will be tight. I don't know how to fix that. I suppose a velvet rope and waitlist will keep crowds at bay but neither feels very Nashville. Hmm... Another minus (relating to the size) is that there's only one bar. One bar in a space this cool is a bit tight. I know the space behind the bar isn't huge but I would staff it with 3 bartenders at a time so as to keep up with the crowd. Because you're going to want to drink. A lot. The cocktail program at the back corner is a bit unusual for Nashville -- and very Miami. Expect rum, colors and a boozy punch. Actually, the menu could use a punch. Get on that, tbc. Re drink progression... start with the gimlet. It's pretty to look at and refreshing to drink. All the mixers, juices, etc. are made in house so you're getting quality fare. From there, hit the No. 4 and, then, the No. 2. If you're still upright, drink some water. Water? Who am I kidding? Cocktails! You're in Miami, [redacted]! Well, sorta. If you need some noshes, 5th & Taylor is serving up bites. Don't come here for dinner. Who eats food? Let the music and booze nourish your body. As perfect as the back corner is for DJ sets, live music (this *is* Nashville, after all) works as well. the back corner isn't the Downtown dance club people have wanted for a (looooong) while. But it is a welcome addition to the city's nightlife scene and, very possibly, you're new favorite place to go. Bienvenidos a Nashville.

We were seated in the back room patio, and at first I got really worried since it was in the nineties and super humid, but pleasantly it was airconditioned and had some low speed fans so it was pretty comfy. The bench seating was firm, but plenty of pillows, so, although seated a little high, it was great. Chairs were fine as well. Service was great, our server was super friendly and really knew the menu and could speak not just to what we asked, but also made some great suggestions. Now, pretty sure this menu is super seasonal, so my choices may not be available when you read this, but highlights: Wood Fired Bread with Anchovy butter: solid, crusty (but not too) with a rich whipped butter, devoured quickly, but enjoyed the light smoke char. Snapper Crudo: Okay, the peaches threw me when I read the menu, but they were fantastic! Just a little spice on the agua chile, perfectly cured fish and really nice presentation. Tomato Salad: Perfectly ripe and sweet, the cherries and olives were easy to confuse until you bite into them, but they were both fantastic Wood Roasted Carrot: the carrots were a little inconsistent in size, and thus in softness. They were all good, but some were absolute heaven Octopus: generous portion, and perfectly cooked. The wood fire was not overbearing as it didn't taste smoked or burnt. just a great dish. Parisian Gnocchi: Didn't interest me on the menu, ordered as a recommendation and even though by this point I was not at all hungry, it was fully devoured. The snapper was great, however we did enjoy the Whiskey rebellion, an old fashioned and a tommy's margarita, so this dish was fantastic, but the memory is a bit fuzzy. Desserts are a not to miss, and the peach cobbler (foreshadowed but the fantastic peaches in the crudo) delivered in a great way to end a great meal. Thank you again for a great time!!!

Must try brunch spot in German town. This restaurant is included in the Chase Sapphire Reserve…read moredining credit (as of June 2026) and it is totally worth it. We were able to try a few of their brunch menu options and loved them all. The oyster selection is phenomenal and the descriptions they provide are really helpful and accurate! My favorite was the breakfast sandwich! I can't wait to come back and try out their lunch and dinner as well!

Geist was amazing!…read more The atmosphere is truly one of the best in the city, especially when they have the place decorated for the holidays. On top of that, our server was hands down the best we've had in a long time. The drink menu was a little limited, but every cocktail we tried tasted really good. We started with the Caesar salad, and honestly that was the one miss of the night. It had a bit of a weird taste to it. Everything after that was fantastic though. I got the lamb chop and my fiancé got the filet, and both were cooked to perfection. For sides, the truffle fries and Brussels sprouts were standouts that I highly recommend. Will definitely be back!

We've had some absolutely amazing food in Nashville thus far, and I really wanted to love Geist…read morebecause the space is absolutely beautiful and definitely gave a great first impression. Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. We ordered the biscuits and gravy with fried chicken, shrimp and grits, and two iced coffees. The coffee was good but the food was, honestly, borderline inedible and not at all what we expected. What was even more disappointing was the response when our server asked how everything was. We were honest and told her we didn't like the food. Her only response was, "Awww," before walking away. There was no offer to make it right, no follow-up, and no manager checked on us. When our table was cleared, our plates were still nearly full. For a bill of around $100 for brunch for two, I expected much better food and customer service. The beautiful setting wasn't enough to make up for the disappointing meal and lack of concern when we shared our experience.
