Dry Brisket. I think it was probably left over from the day before ????
    Mike R.

I would give a 3.5 star rating, but since I don't have that option I'm giving it a 3 star. The reason is because they served us dry Brisket. It's unfortunate because we had very good service and the food came out fairly quickly. The staff were friendly and it's a cool BBQ place with an upstairs Bar area. I will say that they Ribs were fall off the bone good. The sides were OK with the best being the Street Corn and Baked Beans. They have covered outdoor seating and free parking. They have starters, Nachos, BBQ plates, Wings, Burgers, Salads, Soups, Catfish, Spuds, Sandwiches and Desserts. I'm going to go back sometime in the future and give them another shot on that Brisket.

When people talk about BBQ in Nashville, they usually create a binary - Edley's or Martin's. The Ridge is a reminder that there are other options. We ordered to go, and the process was easy. There's not a lot of parking, but you have street parking if their lot is full. People were kind when I got the order. Love: ribs (moist, seasoned well), pulled pork (moist & flavorful) Like: baked beans, sausage (good flavor), banana pudding Dislike: elote corn (had juice as if stewed; different from my expectations); brisket (not to my liking; disappointed in portion size)

Wooooow great spot!!! Some other the best bbq I've had in a long time. Sides tastes like grannies back there throwing down in the kitchen. Not kidding I ate every bit of my meal. Service was also fantastic Ashley did a great job. This spot definitely passes the vibe check.

The food and service was fast and friendly. I went on a quiet night and the server was very attentive which was great. Her name was Cheyenne. The people that come here are clearly regulars she had people food and order down already. Love seeing a place like this in the heart of Nashville. Would definitely recommend and will return.

I simply cannot get enough of this place. The staff is ALWAYS nice & helpful. I chose to sit upstairs on this particular visit. My order came out fast and when I say my burger was so good (as usual!) I'm pretty sure that I'll be back sooner than later! If you're planning a trip to Nashville, you definitely need to put this hidden gem on your Places To Eat list! Also, I've had their Catfish as well! Everything is GOOD!

Ordered the 3-meat plate with brisket, catfish, and pulled pork, along with sides of mac n' cheese, cornbread and fries. Also ordered the banana pudding for dessert. Everything was delicious, but the brisket was definitely my favorite. The portions were generous, enough to feed 2 other people. Would recommend to anyone in the area because of great BBQ food and quick service. Meats (5/5) Sides (4/5) Pudding (5/5)

Unique Sandwiches and Solid BBQ! My friend and I visited for lunch on a Monday. I was expecting an old, rundown, hole-in-the wall BBQ joint. Boy, was I wrong. Yes, this is first and foremost a BBQ joint, and they have the trophies on display to prove it. But, The Ridge offers so much more! From its spacious eating areas, to the unique and delicious sandwiches, to the Attic Bar upstairs, to their delicious looking burgers, to their daily Happy Hour. This is a great place to eat and to hang out. I ordered the "Texican" sandwich, and it was delicious. It had warm chopped pork, chicken, brisket, and bacon inside with cheese, onions, jalapeños, and tomatoes. The sandwich was served on perfectly toasted Tuscan Bread with chipotle aioli. It was total comfort food; warm, gooey, tasty, crunchy, and filling. The side of white beans I ordered were also delicious. They were perfectly cooked and the added pork gave them a nice lightly smoked flavor. My friend ordered the "Chicano" Sandwich, and he loved it. It was loaded with lots of chopped brisket and chorizo, served on a pressed French roll with chipotle aioli and pickled jalapeños inside. He added a side of Spicy Slaw and finished everything. He remarked several times about the meal's deliciousness. The Ridge makes 2 homemade sauces; BBQ Sauce and Hot Sauce. I loved both. The BBQ sauce was smooth with nice flavor. The Hot Sauce was exactly what you want a hot sauce to be; lots of flavor with a nice bit of burning heat on the back end. Both sauces went well with my sandwich. Apparently, Monday is also Burger Day at the Ridge if you eat upstairs in the Attic. Doing so saves you $2 on any of their burgers. I didn't order one, but I saw several and they looked really good. They're good sized burgers; one couple had cut theirs in half and were sharing it. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is cool, and the food definitely seems worth the price charged. They also have Happy Hour every night from 2-7. I can't wait to go back to The Ridge.

What a great find! I feel like this place belongs on a list of best kept secrets in Nashville. The service was absolutely fantastic, friendly, prompt, and helpful. They are set up like most BBQ joints where you order at the counter, but the woman working at the front asked if I was dining in and told me I could have a seat and she'd be right with me. A nice touch! The food was very good. The pulled pork was tender and smokey, and a little salty (in a good way). Very nice. The sausage was really flavorful and smokey. I really enjoyed the baked beans. The potato salad was good, but to my tastes had a little too much mustard. I would certainly say The Ridge is a little off the beaten path for Nashville, but it is definitely worth a detour. I had a really great lunch here, and look forward to coming back. They also have a bar upstairs, which I'm sure makes for a fun hangout in the evening.

Clean restaurant, they greet you with a smile, the portions are great! I got the bbq nachos with brisket.

"Where's the smoke " smoked bologna sandwich looked

It's a nice, welcoming place with a great BBQ atmosphere. Unfortunately, it's a converted house so parking is limited. I'll preface this review by the fact I only ate three things. The smoked bologna sandwich looked good, but the was no smoke. Because there was no smoke, it was just a regular fried bologna sandwich. The coleslaw had good texture, but it was bland. It needed to be drained and re-seasoned. The Coca Cola cake was stale from spending too much time in the refrigerator. Only a slight hint of cola flavor was present. It would have benefited from 1) no refrigerator storage, or 2) about 18 seconds in the microwave prior to serving. If they insist on not having fresh cake, Dr Pepper cake would retain flavor in cold storage a little longer. Based on three meh easy dishes, I can't see returning despite excellent, friendly, and competent service.

The bar has two hidden TVs that you can only see when you sit at the bar, which is such a cool touch. It keeps the space feeling upscale without sacrificing the ability to catch a game. The overall ambiance is great, and the music is always at the perfect volume for an easy conversation. The drinks have been consistently excellent. We've tried both cocktails and wine, and everything has been delicious. The wine is a little overpriced in our opinion, but it was so good that I'm glad we still ordered it! On our most recent visit, we started with the burrata. It was very good, but I do wish there had been more sauce and more cantaloupe. The sauce felt more like an accent than something that really tied the dish together. That said, the perfect bite was definitely the burrata with the prosciutto and cantaloupe! For our entrees, Jonathan ordered the pork chop, and I had the piri piri chicken. Both came with broccolini and patatas bravas. I was expecting traditional Spanish-style patatas bravas, so when whole baby potatoes showed up, I was initially a little disappointed. Don't let that fool you, though--these potatoes were incredible!!! Crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside, and packed with flavor! They ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal! My piri piri chicken was fantastic! The portion was much larger than I expected, and the piri piri sauce served on the side was absolutely lick-the-plate good. I found myself dipping the potatoes and broccolini in it because it was just that delicious. Piri piri isn't something you come across often in Nashville, and The Finch absolutely nails it--and at a really reasonable price. Jonathan's pork chop was cooked perfectly with great flavor. It wasn't an over-the-top, show-stopping dish, but for around $30--including both sides--at a more upscale restaurant, it's hard to beat the value. One more recommendation: get the volcano rock shrimp. We had it on a previous visit, and we still talk about it! It's easily one of our favorite dishes we've had here. The Finch has been consistently good every time we've visited, and that's what keeps bringing us back! Great food, great drinks, a fun atmosphere, and solid value for the quality. We'll definitely be back again!

The seasoning was delicious, but I would have liked to experience more of the actual dish and ingredients. The sauce was good, and the mashed potatoes underneath were a nice touch. Service was okay, although I would have appreciated being checked on a little more often. We started with the fried pickles and they were some of the best I've had. The dipping sauce wasn't your typical ranch (I forgot to ask what it was), but whatever magic they put in it worked it was absolutely delicious. Then we moved on to the burgers. We tried the Juicy Burger and it truly lives up to the name. Every single bite was worth it. I personally had the Jalapeño Burger and let me tell you... get ready for some heat. If you're not used to spicy food, this one might test your limits. But the flavor was incredible. You could really taste that the burger was grilled, and it gave it that perfect smoky, savory flavor that makes a great burger stand out. The drinks were also fantastic. They have a huge selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. I had one of their mezcal cocktails and it was bartender's kiss. I also tried a couple of their spirits and everything was on point. Another thing I really appreciated was the noise level. There's music playing, but it's not overwhelming, you can still actually have a conversation without yelling across the table. That's always a win. They also have a nice outdoor patio if you want to sit outside. We went during the week, so it was lively but comfortable. I can only imagine this place really gets going on the weekends.
