When searching for the best banana pudding in Nashville, Edley's came highly recommended. While the banana pudding did live up to its hype, the rest of the food left much to be desired. I think next time if I were to be nearby I would just get the pudding

We didn't even stop to get a photo of our food because it looked so good. We were right! Here is a photo of the end result. Really great BBQ. The cornbread was stellar (coming from someone who usually doesn't enjoy cornbread because it's too dry). Mac and cheese and the sides were incredible! Meat fell off the bone and was perfectly cooked. Service was quick and everyone was very friendly. Loved the atmosphere and if we come back to Nashville, we will be coming back!

This was my first shrimp poboy and it DID NOT disappoint! The shrimp was so crispy and the cajun spice was flavorful without being too spicy. Perfect for lunch or a late night bite.

Freaking delicious brisket !!!!! We got the tri star combo the chicken and the brisket were the stars of the main course. LOVED the potato salad and the Mac and cheese !!! I'm generally not a vinegar based coleslaw fan but trthis one slapped ! I got the burnt ends. Very tasty on a bed of Cajun grits. We had the fried pickles for an app. Lack luster. I really enjoyed the crunchy bits. Would definately come back for the brisket and chicken hands down ! Loved our server Susie ! #remeberthebananapuddin ;-) **cheers love** you slayed

Cheers to Edley's!!! We were stayng at an AirBnB nearby and had quite a large group so finding a walk in dinner spot was nearly impossible but Edley's was literally perfect! We came by on a Saturday around 5-6PM and we were able to get a large table for our group and the service was fast and efficient! I got the brisket sandwich with a side of mac n cheese and it was delicious. Good brisket and great mac n cheese. It wasn't by far the best brisket I have ever had but it was still good. Honestly one of the main reasons we loved this place is because the service and staff were also so nice. Solid BBQ in east Nashville!

You order as soon as you come in the door grab a number and find a seat. Started with the nachos. They use homemade potato chips. Pretty good. I got a full rack of ribs. Bones slide right out of the meat. Great flavor. Bar has several local beers.

This is the brisket burnt ends on a grit casserole. I was skeptical, not being from the south but the grit casserole was really good.

We sat at the bar. The bartender was wonderful. She was super friendly and helpful. The beer was cold and affordable unlike many places in Nashville. The burn ends with the grit casserole were very good along with the wings. My wife had the pork tacos and she said they were also extremely good. The restaurant was clean and had a very nice feel to it. All the staff was friendly. I will go back if I make it back to Nashville again.

Great BBQ joint. Warm and inviting dining room with, surprise! A country music theme. There is a comfortable bar and a nice patio area, which is where we sat. You order as you enter but from there it is full table service. Food was good! The brisket was very tasty. I like their BBQ sauce. Not too sweet, not too spicey. Sides of beans, and corn were good. The potato salad, my daughter said was the best she's ever had.

Delicious food, cold beer, and fun place to eat. My work colleague and I had a great lunch here.

I stopped by Edley's Barbecue while on a solo trip to Nashville and had a great experience. I sat at the bar and met Leon, who was incredibly kind and helpful, and he even gave me free drinks and samples, as it was a sad day for me. They were sold out of their secret fried barbecue ribs, but I tried the burnt ends with greens, plus an extra helping on the house. I also had the macaroni, a side of catfish that was seasoned well, and the jalapeño cornbread, which was better than expected. I had a great experience, and I'll definitely go back.

Went on a Sunday, very busy but service and food service was quick and efficient. Had the brisket very tasty with a perfect smoked flavor, baked beans were delicious with a hit of spiciness, macaroni n cheese was tasty with the right amount of breadcrumbs. Good BBQ

We were in Nashville for one of ours birthday weekend & found it an extreme hassle to park anywhere downtown just to get to Main St. We found this nice, urbanized section not too far from the ruckus and decided on BBQ while there. Edley's was our first choice and they hit the mark on every single item. The reception by everyone was great. When you walk in, you order then you seat yourself. The food wait was about 10-12 mins (which is good because that means it's fresh) and there was a moderate crowd when we arrived. Fiancé had the brisket sandwich and it was great (we both steal each others' food) with Mac & cheese and slaw. I had the jalapeño smoked sausage with hot chicken strips, cornbread, Mac & cheese, slaw, and grits casserole. Can you tell whose birthday it was? Everything on my plate was on the money, but the real winner was the jalapeño sausage and the grits casserole. The jalapeño sausage had a Gouda/American style cheese inside of it on top of the grilled and light spice that it had. This was a heavenly mix. The grits casserole was so good. The grits were perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth. So all in all our main dishes were 5/5. But those BBQ nachos? 6/5 They're fries with smoked chicken meat, white sauce, cheese, sour cream (iirc), green onions, tomatoes (yucky but still consumed because it was so good), and bbq sauce. This was THE highlight of the meal. We have to come back HERE next time. 5/5 -- nice atmosphere and surroundings. We had a great time around Woodland St.; much less congested.

I loved the skinny margaritas, and the frozen blackberry mule was so good. They have a really nice patio that's perfect for hanging out. The only downside is that I feel like they close the patio/space a little early around 10 PM, and after that the inside gets extremely packed and it's hard to move around. The mozzarella sticks were good, but a lot of them were missing cheese, which was disappointing. Overall, still a really fun spot with great food, drinks, and atmosphere. When I walked in I, immediately, thought of Haven (RIP https://www.yelp.com/biz/haven-miami-beach-2). From the LED wall to the music to the drinks to the vibe... I didn't feel like I was in Nashville anymore. the back corner stands out and gives Middle Tennesseans something that's not readily available in this area. If you're in the mood for a little coastal cosmopolitanness (is that word? It's not a word), the back corner is about to be your new favorite place. The neighborhood gets things moving in the right direction. For as much as Germantown has (scenic streets, fancy high rises, coffee, good eats) it didn't have a nightlife destination. Putting one here makes a lot of sense. Building off the 5th & Taylor imprint, the back corner starts off fancy (but not pretentious) and builds to memorable. Upon entry, the first thing you notice is the LED wall and stage. With a changing display of electronic intoxication, you're drawn into a world far away from Lower Broad. If you can break your gaze away from the stage, you'll notice the upper and lower lounge seating. Intimate, cozy and a bit mysterious, the seating at the back corner lets you decide whether you want to be front & center or if you're rather sit back and take it all in. You can be as public or private as you'd like. If indoor seating isn't your thing, make your way outside to enjoy the fire pit and Germantown night sky. Just do us all a favor and refrain from smoking. Seeing cigarette butts along the patio or by (in??) the fire pit is not sexy and very off-brand. All the above said and noted, the back corner is not a huge space -- which is a plus and minus. It's a plus because it never becomes the cavernous mess of bass and desperation. The minus is crowds gonna crowd and with a lot of people, the space will be tight. I don't know how to fix that. I suppose a velvet rope and waitlist will keep crowds at bay but neither feels very Nashville. Hmm... Another minus (relating to the size) is that there's only one bar. One bar in a space this cool is a bit tight. I know the space behind the bar isn't huge but I would staff it with 3 bartenders at a time so as to keep up with the crowd. Because you're going to want to drink. A lot. The cocktail program at the back corner is a bit unusual for Nashville -- and very Miami. Expect rum, colors and a boozy punch. Actually, the menu could use a punch. Get on that, tbc. Re drink progression... start with the gimlet. It's pretty to look at and refreshing to drink. All the mixers, juices, etc. are made in house so you're getting quality fare. From there, hit the No. 4 and, then, the No. 2. If you're still upright, drink some water. Water? Who am I kidding? Cocktails! You're in Miami, [redacted]! Well, sorta. If you need some noshes, 5th & Taylor is serving up bites. Don't come here for dinner. Who eats food? Let the music and booze nourish your body. As perfect as the back corner is for DJ sets, live music (this *is* Nashville, after all) works as well. the back corner isn't the Downtown dance club people have wanted for a (looooong) while. But it is a welcome addition to the city's nightlife scene and, very possibly, you're new favorite place to go. Bienvenidos a Nashville.

Parking was easy, with plenty of street parking nearby. We had a 5 p.m. reservation and arrived around 4:52. The doors were locked, and although an employee was standing just inside, we were asked to wait outside until exactly 5. Normally that wouldn't be a big deal, but it was about 95 degrees, I'm eight months pregnant, and we had three young kids with us. That wasn't a great first impression, and I think if reservations begin at 5, guests should be able to come inside a few minutes early. Once the doors opened, we were seated promptly. They had a high chair ready for our youngest, and our server was excellent throughout the meal. The restaurant has a trendy, upscale atmosphere, and while our oldest did great, I think it's a better fit for adults than families with very young children. One thing I really appreciated was that when we realized they only had glass cups available, our server found paper coffee cups for the kids. It was a small gesture that made the meal much less stressful. The sausage biscuits are still outstanding and easily my favorite item on the menu. The steak was good, but I wasn't impressed with the Cobb salad. Our kids shared the fried chicken and mac and cheese, and my husband ordered the pot roast. Our bill came to about $190 before tip. Overall, the meal was good, but it didn't feel like the special dining experience I remembered from previous visits. Between the rough start, the prices, and food that was good but not particularly memorable, I don't see us returning anytime soon. The service was kind, but for this price point, I expected more.
