Avoid this place. Felt like a scam--asked questions I never received during any smog check ("any work done lately? Check engine light on? Is this your original catalytic converter? Who did the work?"). I guess they didn't like my answers bc then they said "smog machine is broken, sorry" Prices were higher than normal places too but I was gonna do it bc I was pinched for time and it was really close. Fast service and it only cost me $30! Plus, the gentleman that runs the shop is super friendly. My car passed and everything was sent to DMV in just a few minutes. I was on Yelp looking for smog testing nearby that was open at 7am, this was the only one. Most of the other shops open at 8am or 9am. Just make sure to call before you go in, they may be calibrating the machine. Luckily I called. Bonus - he printed a document I needed for the DMV. Saved me a trip to the printing store! I arrived to a barrage of question and judgement, "did I recently do work to the car, or roll back the odometer" (basically am I a scam artist) ... I replied no. The technician says hold on and continues to have a 5 min conversation with the person who pulled in after me. When he does wave me in I ask the price, "$68" ... I say woah my normal guy (who was closed) does it for $50. He hands me back the dmv notice like "go there". So I left. Also their yelp has a coupon that says 2022 only $50. Scam artists. Avoid this place. Rude from the start and couldn't be bothered with your little smog money. People don't want to be judged when they arrive. Rude. read more

I came here as an unplanned to do for my smog test and I didn't need to rely on a coupon but still had a really good price. Ed, the owner let me hang out at the customer spot that was air conditioned with drinks and comfortable seating.. This place was great, I went to another smog shop a day prior and they did the entire test without first doing the readiness check. Here, they immediately checked to make sure I would be able to pass the readiness monitor before driving on to the rollers. Saved me a lot of wasted time. They were also really friendly and not as busy as some of the other nearby shops. Hopefully for them that changes, but I appreciated that I didn't have to wait. If they had some chairs for me to fair around in while I waited I would have given another star. read more

Quick and easy service with no waiting or having to leave and come back, friendly staff, very clean and comfortable waiting room. Will definitely go back for any and all services to my cars. I did, however, find it a little strange that they told me they would only give me a "huge discount" on my smog test if I wrote them a Yelp review, but their website clearly states that all smog tests for 2000-2015 cars (under which category my car falls) are $30, which is what I was charged. So really I wasn't given a discount...I dunno, maybe some miscommunication there, but definitely not enough to keep me from going back. read more

Was looking to get my new purchase of a 1998 Honda Civic smogged before having to be at work at 9am. Not a lot of places would even smog a car below 2000, and the ones that would didn't open til 9am. I called Eds, they were open and could do the job. Ed was very informative over the phone about their pricing. When I arrived he showed legitimate concern for me and my vehicle, checking the computer first and foremost to make sure it hadn't been tampered with. He kept me up to date throughout the process, then when he saw I was "yelping" he offered a discount even though my car is old, that's good business! The car passed and the job took 10 minutes tops. I came in for a quick smog check and got so much more! Edi was helpful and funny from the get-go. The waiting room was clean, had refreshments and a comfy couch for me to enjoy while I waited. After paying a reasonable fee for my smog check Edi brought up my missing mirror on the passenger side I've been trying to replace for quite some time now. He took a look at it along with the mirror I purchased a few months back that I knew wouldn't work without a backing plate. He gave me suggestions and showed me where the damage truly was on my car, then offered to find me some options on replacements and said he would call with pricing. This morning I stopped at another nearby smog check down the street that had 5 stars and over 500 reviews on Yelp. I arrived at said location at 9:00am (when they are supposed to open) but no one was there. By 9:15, the doors were still locked and not a soul inside. There were already 3 other people waiting ahead of me and in a location where there was nowhere to park with all the nearby street parking taken, I looked up the next closest smog check. Enter Eds Smog Test. It was just on the other side of Vineland and they also had a special Yelp deal for $30, same as the other place. I pulled into their parking lot (it's a bit packed but that's because there's also a body shop and repairs in that little nook). 15 minutes later, my car passed the check and I was on my way. I was on my lunch break and in a hurry so I called and the gentleman said to come over, he'd take me right away, and it'd be $35.
