Every single time I've come here, I've had amazing service. The front office guy who does my smog check is so kind and willing to answer any questions I have about my car I've never come here for extreme service on my car, just a bi-yearly smog check but, I have no doubt they would help when I need it. They're always willing to give me the best rates as well and the best thing of all is, they're so close to where I live! And there's usually never a wait when I'm here. Smog check usually takes about 10 mins and, he usually never keeps me longer than that. I will keep coming back here whenever I need my smog checks Now, the interior of the shop leaves much to be desired but, what do I expect from an auto body shop. I stopped by In and Out for a smog at 4:00. It looked a little seedy, but I had a coupon for 25% off, so I walked in. Or tried to. The office was locked - I guess they already had filled their quota for the day and didn't want to receive anymore customers, in spite of their office hours being posted at closing at 5:00. So I made my way over to Smog-Ease. I didn't have a coupon (wish I had, since the service cost me $55) but at least they were open. The one lady who was in front of me had her car finished in 10 minutes. That was fast. She walked out praising the operator, then she turned to me and said "I come here all the time. They're wonderful." The guy took my information and finished up with me in only 10 minutes. Unbelievable. I passed my smog test and he emailed the results in. Even though I feel like I paid a little more, I felt lot I got a little more. The facility is clean and calm. It was a beautiful sunny day and a light breeze was blowing in. The mechanic was a nice guy, not too friendly, but pleasant and he didn't try to make small talk, so I could just stay in my own headspace, and I was out in a heartbeat. The mechanic finished my car and turned the car around so that I could escape quickly. It's exactly what I wanted from a smog check- to get in and out with the least amount of hassle. The gentleman who helped me (didn't get his name but I think it's Nick) is the most helpful, friendly, conscientious garage employee I ever met. Definitely takes pride in providing good service. Due to Covid and my lack of driving, my car's battery had died and needed to be jumped several times over the last year; it didn't pass smog because the drive cycle had been messed up. He knew right away and gave me all the information I needed to fix the problem on my own (you just have to drive your car following certain steps) then gave me a second coupon for the retest. Excellent Customer Service! Exotic cars often lose info stored in the computer once the battery fails. Rather than running your car through the machine and giving you a fail, he inspects your emission related sensors to confirm they are reporting data. I took my stepmothers 1998 Jaguar for a smog check. Although it's a beautiful car, and has been very well-maintained, it had not been driven in quite some time. The state of California has made changes that are somewhat technical to the smog test procedure. Because the car had not been driven in sometime, it failed the test.
