He made sure he didn't drive over the neighbor's plants on our tight driveway, and then went to extra precaution to put my M3 on the flatbed, since it has a low profile and scrapes easily. He put extra wood beneath to get it up--which I hadn't seen before, which I really appreciated. He checked in with me about whether we should drive it up, or have it pulled up with the car in neutral. You can tell he just really cares about the car and doesn't take shortcuts. In the end, we also swapped quick stories about our torn meniscuses and he gave me a bunch of good tips on how to get better!

All I wanted was for them to read off what was causing the "check engine" light to come on, and we'd figure out what to do after that. They'd done that before. But he insisted on running a full diagnostic which would take days. When I said I just wanted what I'd had before, he accused -me- of being dictatorial. That was pure projection on his part.
