I ended up with a Friday flat on my way to the office. Unfortunately, my BMW is not equipped with a spare tire. Fortunately, I was connected to Ed's Tow & Cradle for the pickup of my car. The tow truck driver Sean was at my location within 20 minutes and had the car on the truck shortly after. Sean went above and beyond with the service he provided and I appreciate his high level of professionalism and genuine concern for the situation. It's not often that you can find reputable business with employees that care about the customer but it seems that Ed's Tow has both going for them. I will be using them again if needed. I called the office to schedule a pickup and a dispatcher called me right away to set the time and day. The tow driver called me 15 minutes before arrival and the car was loaded and delivered on a flatbed to the designation. The whole process was efficient, smooth, and pleasant. I'd definitely use Ed's tow again although I hope not to need their service too often :-) read more

My husband car broke down on Wednesday night in the middle of freeway around 12 am while he was coming back from SF airport. He took Uber home and the next day we were trying to locate his car since we had no clue where it was. Ed's services were offered to us by our insurance and we were on our way that we made the call to them. We have a 6 month old child and we had to take him with us and I was worried that the location is somewhere in the freeway and it's not safe . Felix took our call and once we told him where we think our car is and we are on our way he said there is no need , I will find your car and will tow it to the mechanic shop for your guys , just make sure they have the car keys. He was very understanding and our car was in the shop within 2 hours . He saved us the trip and put my mind at ease as a mother . i live in mountain view, my SUV had transmission issues in portola valley and i wanted to get it to a shop in campbell. ed's tow service was fantastic: a quick phone call got me a reasonable quote, and a rough estimate they would text to come by and pick up the keys. my SUV couldn't shift out of park, and as is typical for AWD vehicles they can't be safely towed with any wheels touching the ground. ed's tow service assured me they would either use a flat bed or four wheel dollies to avoid any further damage. they asked for my SUV model information to look up the proper technical details on how to safely tow the vehicle. everything went smoothly, the tow truck driver showed up right around the estimated time. all i had to do was step outside to hand off the keys. the SUV was picked up and dropped off at the shop, and the driver texted me to keep me up to date with their progress. ed's then called me back to get payment details over the phone, and texted me a receipt. i definitely would use ed's tow service again, should the need ever arise. read more

Got assigned these guys when my car didn't start by my insurance company. The guy was an hour late, with no notice. When I called about it the person on the phone made it sound like I was being completely unreasonable to expect them to be on time. When the guy showed up, he first tried to jump-start my car even though I had specifically requested a lift, since my car was not jump-startable. When this didn't work he said he couldn't help me and drove away without waiting for a response. When I called my insurance company, they insisted that they had communicated the requirement for a wheel lift, and based on some of the other reviews here as well as the attitude of both people I dealt with, I'm inclined to believe that they (the insurance company) weren't the ones at fault. The next day I made sure to ask my insurance to send me a different company. read more

My car was dead in front on my house. The owner himself came promptly and tried to find the problem to avoid me having to pay for the tow. It turned out to be non-solvable but he charged me only for the tow. Very nice experience to have great service! read more

My car had stopped, this tow company came out and said its the starter call your insurance company because I can't tow it. So I called my insurance company again and this same, Ed's Tow picked up the call per my insurance company. 90 minutes or so later I called them they said they were not dispatched to go out and knew nothing about it. This was my worst experience in a long time, I don't think the guy even gave a name he was very unprofessional. I do not recommend this business to anyone. read more
