We had the honor of having Nicole Dudley as our son's tutor for high school Algebra II Honors…read more Nicole is outstanding! We could not have asked for a more effective tutor. Nicole is not only an incredible teacher (she made very difficult concepts easy for our son to understand), she is so calm, patient and willing to go the extra mile to optimize our son's learning and comfort with the course material. Our son went from being very intimidated by a challenging course (to the point that he almost dropped the class) to being very confident with grasping the information and taking exams. His grade improved significantly under Nicole's guidance and we are forever grateful. We have had other tutors for him and we can honestly say that she is simply the best! She truly cares and is totally invested in helping her students reach success.

They were 8 and 6, and really needed help. With her knowledge and patience, Lynne Merrill began to work with them, and within the year they were both reading, above grade level! The programs that Lynne uses WORK, and along with her kind approach, the children had great success. Nicole Dudley also worked with them years ago, and has been tutoring both of them in math this year, making such a difference in their confidence and skills. She is also so kind and inspiring, and just a fantastic teacher! When I was a child, I wished for a tutor, especially for math, but we couldn't afford . Today I am so happy to give the gift of Lynne and Nicole to my grandchildren, and watch them flourish! I highly recommend Merrill Education Center, and I am beyond grateful for the help they continue to give to all of their students! Laura

The school also instills life qualities like politeness, kindness, and patience that I don't always see in peers their age. Ms. Mary and the other teachers teach and discipline with kindness and instill a curiosity and love of learning that extends well beyond the school day. And FWIW, when I enrolled my son in elementary school, they said that they love it when kids come from OPM. They mentioned that they are some of the best-behaved and well-prepared children entering into TK and Kinder.

She has grown so much both academically and socially, and she's learned a wide variety of things. The school provides free meals every day, which is such a help for families. They also host wonderful events throughout the year, including Mother's Day and Father's Day celebrations, a Christmas party that bring every family together. We love seeing her come home with all kinds of writing and artwork from class, as well as plants and vegetables she's helped grow in their garden. It's clear the teachers put a lot of care and thought into creating a nurturing, engaging environment for the children. I'm grateful for everything Oak Park Montessori has done for my daughter and our family.

Was told that my 5 year old was too old for that class so he needed to attend class on a different day and time. Not ideal for a working mom but hey, not the end of the world! He came in for the 5-8 year old class and after the class ended, the instructor told us that he wasn't going to learn anything in her class and it's pointless for him to be there. Not sure what kind of teacher would ever say such a thing but especially since my 5 year old has been speaking Spanish and English since he learned to talk. Andie, the owner of Tribú, told me that if we put him in a French class at his age, he will soak it up like a sponge, especially if he is already bilingual. So back to picking him up and feeling confused about how a teacher can make an assessment that it's pointless for him to be there and convinced he won't learn, especially after he's only been to one class --- but I figured I could speak to the owner and get more information. What I come to learn is that the class is comprised entirely of 8 year olds! After being told he couldn't join his brother in the younger kids class - which would have worked better for our schedule, as I originally inquired about, I asked if there was another class we could try and never heard back. Not sure what's going on but I feel sad and doubtful this is a nurturing environment for learning based purely on the teacher and owner. PS when I asked my five year old what he learned in French the next day, he told me something in French!

We started our boys at 7 months and 2.5 years old and couldn't be happier. She has a great academic program to prepare the older kids for kindergarten (my now 3 year old knows his letters and can count to 100), and gives all her love to those under 2 helping them with their milestones too. Her rates are fair for the service she is providing, she also has a meal plan so I don't have to worry about packing food. I highly recommend this daycare if you are in the Conejo Valley area!
