Thankfully, we ended up not needing the services. That said, Joey came out to assess our yard for a wasp's nest that we couldn't locate. We thought we had termites because of the corpses in a bathroom ceiling light fixture. It turned out to be silverfish. I contacted several de-buggers and most of them would do the work only if we signed a contract to pay a significant hefty monthly fee for them to come out every other month. Thankfully, I found Buncha Bugs. Joey inspected the house and told me that while he could just treat the specific area in the attic above the light fixture, what we really needed was a one-time exclusion treatment. This included cleaning up everything in the attic and crawl space, replacing 87 year-old mesh vent covers and crawl space mesh entry doors, and placing traps for any non-paying tenants. The workers he sent to do the job were very nice and efficient. We've known for a long time that things weren't secure, and we're much more comfortable now that these issues have been addressed. Over one week in early July, there was a bat on my dining room floor, and then a big rat on top of my TV, several dead bats in my garage, one scurying under the dryer, and a big rat in the toilet! I was frantic about bats in my belfry! After a half dozen calls to various exterminators and county animal control, I spoke to and hired Joey at Buncha Rats. His was the only company willing to start the bat removal/exit process in July (not extermination) as bats are a protected species in the summer. His company sealed up all holes in my house to the outside (except one exit through the attic), rescreened all vents including the garage, and removed old and soiled attic insulation. The crew inspected every week to see if the bats were nesting. When finally they left through the one-way exit (encouraged by a bright light shining in the attic) the crew returned to do a final clean-up, install new insulation, sanitize and deoderize the attic. The crew was always neat and considerate and prompt. Monica, in the office was so kind and helpful too. I hope I don't have to go though this again, but I would hire Buncha Rats in a heart beat. read more

Joey and his team absolutely saved us this week. Woke up last Sunday to a LOT of flies in our house and totally panicked because of course it was gross and it was the weekend, so who would help us? Found Buncha Bugs on yelp and Joey answered right away and said he could be out the following day to help. I had a small problem when a tenant found a cockroach in her kitchen. I found Buncha Bugs on Yelp so wasn't sure what to expect. Well Joey immediately got back to me and was at the apartment building in a few hours. He was extremely professional and was very nice to the tenants and he came up with an immediate solution and also spent time doing a thorough inspection to see where the pests might be getting in. He found a few openings in the walls, the attic, screens under the house etc. He was also able to fix all of these issues which made it really easy for me not to have to hire a contractor or handyman. (By the way a handyman told me he fixed all these issues last year which he didn't). It's great when you're able to call the owner directly and the owner does the work. I work with a lot of the larger exterminator companies and you have to leave a message at the corporate office, wait for a call back and they give you a 4 hour window to show up. Amazing exterminator. I live on a lake and we had a tonnnn of spiders. I am incredibly afraid of spiders so this was my living nightmare. I had a different exterminator regularly treating but was still seeing spiders in the house and nothing seemed to be working to fully get them gone. I decided to try having Joey from buncha bugs come and check out the issue. Joey was quick to schedule and upon arriving, he went up into my crawl space in the attic where apparently there was an infestation.
