It's wonderful to experience. The boats are beautiful clean and high quality, they even have floats, towels, sunscreen for purchase, coolers to use for your trip, complimentary ice, and more. They have rules to protect their property -- and you can tell from the quality of the rentals that they truly care about providing a high quality product. Also two spacious pavilions with electrical outlets. Each pavilion has 10 picnic tables and 4 BBQ grills (You can reserve a pavilion for the day by using our online reservation.

It's narrow, swift-flowing and there are lots of downed trees, but we loved the technical aspect and had a great time! I probably wouldn't want to canoe the river, but kayaking it was amazing. We only saw a small group of 3 people while we were on the river too, so it was very peaceful. The staff at Swiss Hideaway were knowledgeable and very friendly. Pickup was timed perfectly and overall we had a wonderful time. We can't wait to come back and kayak the river with our kids (ages 10, 13, 14 and 17) next time!

Marinas are near walking trails, restaurants, grocery stores, and anything else cruisers need.
