What a lovely staff and caring doctor! I experienced an ear infection about a week ago and had to go to the emergency room, it was not clearing up and I went to see my PCP who referred me to Dr. Lee. At first they didn't have any appointments until the end of the week but were able to get me in same day. The office staff was very kind and Dr. Lee took his time to meet with me, I didn't feel rushed. I feel like he set appropriate expectations with me for healing and while I wish I was getting better tomorrow at least I know there is a plan in place as well as proper medication to help me heal. We had an absolutely terrible experience with Dr Lee and his treatment of our child regarding an adenoidectomy. Other ENTs (Stanford and Sutter) found his surgical work incomplete. Our follow up care with Dr Lee was also horrific, being referred out to a different department for issues our child does not have. After seeking 2nd and 3rd opinions other doctors shook their heads at Dr Lee's reckless assessment. I found Dr Lee to be extremely caring. He does not rush through my visits. I needed an ENT and he was the only one with office staff answering the phone. Others would not call me back or when they do, they can only make an appointment months in advance. There was one office that did online appointments only. How can they do a diagnosis without looking in my ear? Dr Lee is out of my insurance network, but I needed an appointment ASAP because I am afraid of ear damage/hearing loss. It took several visits and medications, but my ear cleared up. No more muffled hearing and pounding in my ear. read more

Dr. Lee recently performed a septoplasty on me as part of a tandem surgery with a local plastic surgeon who was conducting a rhinoplasty at the same time. Dr. Lee and his team were very accommodating. With two doctors being involved, Logistics would prove to be very important and Wendy who runs Dr. Lee's office, was extremely helpful in assisting me with all of my pre-and post op appointments. my septoplasty was 20 years overdue... I feel like 1 million bucks and I cannot tell you how happy I am with the results... Dr. Lee is a true professional. read more

I went to Dr Lee for sinus infection. He gave me antibiotics and pressed me for septoplasty and I agreed initially. After a few weeks my infection did not go away and I was worrying if it would affect my septoplasty success. He said "do you want to continue with your infection?" I could not connect why my life long deviated septum would prevent my sinus infection from recovering. Then I saw another ENT Dr, who said I did not need septoplasty. My acid reflux went up to my sinus and caused the infection. Since then I have seen multiple doctors on my deviated septum and all of them said I don't need a septoplasty. Dr Lee's suggestion of septoplasty before other treatments is questionable. read more

Very thankful to Dr. Lee and his very kind and professional staff. Dr. Lee is very nice and knowledgeable. I was diagnosed with a mucocoele by an oral surgeon and was told not to do anything for it. I wanted a 2nd opinion and found Dr. Lee through my insurance plan as a provider who is part of my network and very close to where I live. My mucocoele comes and goes, and on the day of my appointment, it wasn't very easy to see. Dr. Lee told me to contact him when it came back more prominently. The very next day, it did come back and I called to hopefully see him that very day. I'm very appreciative to Dr. Lee and his staff for getting me in. And they didn't do so in a grudging sort of manner. They did their best and were able to fit me in. I am extremely grateful for this. I appreciated Dr. Lee's reassurance about the mucocoele and we both determined not to do anything about it at this time. He has been informative, and his explanations make perfect sense. Many years ago, I had a Laryngoscopy twice by another physician. Both times were somewhat uncomfortable although not terrible experiences. Recently, I had a Laryngoscopy by Dr. Lee. I was impressed with how comfortable this procedure was, unlike my previous two procedures by the other physician. Thus far, I have been completely satisfied with Dr. Lee's performance as well as the scheduling and billing practices of this office. read more

I needed to see an ENT and found Dr. Lee through my insurance; his office was conveniently located near my apartment. I was surprised by how quick and easy it was to schedule an appointment, check in at the desk when I came in, and how nice it was to speak with Dr. Lee. I'll admit that after seeing his 3-star review, I was iffy; however, he knows his stuff. I explained to him how my allergies have been acting up and my throat/mouth has been feeling dry since I moved here last year. He was understanding and didn't give me a bunch of hoopla of expensive crap I needed to buy... He was right to the point, explained what I had in easy terms, and gave me a few options for what I could do to remediate my allergies and help me get more accustomed to the dry air (as opposed to Chicago's humid weather). He also said I could follow up in a month so we could reassess if things weren't working. Will definitely follow up with him next month! If you're looking for a knowledgable ENT, a quick and painless appointment, and an easy-to-find location (he's right next to whole foods and the San Antonio shopping center), then definitely come by! read more

I had acute sinusitis from a tooth extraction. Dr. Lee diagnosed the problem, prescribed the correct antibiotic and I was well very quickly. He even wrote the prescription out so I could use Good Rx and get a reduced price on the medicine. read more

I would give 0 star of there's the option. We went to have a my allergy problem check. I was going to pay the copay but the nurse asked me to pay it when the visit was done. The doctor checked my nose with a nose endoscopy equipment without saying or asking anything. When I was done the nurse then told me that it costed $250! It's like put something in my shopping cart without telling and then asked me to pay for it! Do not go there! read more

Terrible. My mom has had a sinus infection and been on antibiotics for a month and a half, so naturally her doctor referred her to an ENT. We've heard great things about Dr. Lee so that's where we went. The first visit, he wouldn't tell her why he was numbing her nose. Then when he went to go see another patient (since he's soo busy), the nurse brought in two large tubes. Obviously that freaked my mom out! When he came in, turns out they were actually sticking those up her nose with a camera (understandable, but why didn't he tell her that to begin with..). She got scared and made fists with her hands by the side of her body, and the doctor said she was too tense. So she had to come back. The second visit was even more awful. She waited over an hour to see him. He came in for five minutes, then told her to come back in three weeks since she still had a day on her antibiotics (5th round!!). Could they not have told her this over the phone? Could he not have just checked out her nose for a few minutes and tell her if the inflammation was better or if she should continue on her antibiotics? WORST BEDSIDE MANNER EVER. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Lee for almost 15 years. I first saw him upon recommendation from a trusted coworker when my eardrum collapsed during a long flight. Instead of putting me on all kinds of drugs including antibiotics which I use only on last resort, he gave me a decongestant and I think he also gave me something for my vertigo so I could go to work. About 11 years ago, my husband saw Dr. Lee for a deviated septum. Dr. Lee performed the surgery, and my husband had no complication and recovered very quickly. The whole experience was very good. Over the years, we have seen him for a few other random issues, and we have always been very happy with his care. read more

Worst care provider we've ever been to. WORST! We visited his office since our baby had a tongue tie. He just quickly checked our baby's mouth and tongue and said he does not want to treat this issue at this stage. He said we should wait until our baby becomes 3 or 4 years old (which is ridiculous), then he will determine whether our baby needs a treatment or not. Hey,,, wait, if we wait until our baby becomes 3 years old, she will be already having speech and other issues because of the tongue tie! We asked him if she will have such issues if we wait, and he just said "Depends." OK, it there is a risk of bad consequences of tongue tie in the future, WHY NOT TREAT NOW?? He was just repeatedly saying "I would not treat at this stage" and obviously he wanted to get out from the room and go to next patient without paying much attention to what we are asking. SO BAD. We were so shocked and disappointed how you treated us so badly. Maybe he did not have much confidence to successfully perform the treatment for our baby, that's why he rejected us? Luckily, after this bad experience at this guy's office, we found an excellent doctor who actually corrected our baby's tongue tie on the day of the visit. It was so quick and smooth, and our baby does not have any issues now. Hey Edward, I truly realized the importance of second opinion because of your poor diagnosis. Well, thanks for your incompetence and disrespectful attitude. I even cannot believe you really are doctor. We just wasted our time and money here. We are certainly not going back. read more

I have checked several ear doctors. They have professional service. Edward is a very good doctor. He helped me solve the problem with ears.

Dr. Lee is a competent ENT specialist. I have seen him twice over the last couple of years for separate minor problems. Both visits went well. It's great to have a specialist examine you. The latest visit was for an unusually bad sore throat, the worst I ever had. They were able to squeeze me in in the same day. It turns out I was the fourth person with the same symptoms and onset that he had seen that day, and he identified the problem, gave effective advice and wrote the appropriate prescriptions. That's what you get with a specialist - experience. I had to pay cash for both visits and the fees were fair for a private practice specialist. The staff was courteous and called to inform me ahead of time that their office was still in contract negotiations with my insurance plan, and so I had to pay the day of service and then send in insurance forms afterwards. I thanked them for the advance notice and told them I wanted to keep the appointment - it was worth it to me. The facility was modern and clean. I'm glad I went. read more

I failed to get a hold of this doctor to ask a simple question after my first visit, despite the fact I called multiple times over two weeks. You can never reach this doctor once you leave his office. I called today to cancel all my future follow-up appointments with this doctor.
