Dr. Fann's assistant took me to the exam room, completed my pre-exam. Excellent Assistant who raved about Dr. Fann. I found Dr. Fann to be extremely a) kind; b) thorough; c) professional and a pleasure to be around. She explained to me what she planned to do after asking some questions and we proceeded with the exam. I had quite a wax build up which she took care of and first explaining what tools she would use. After my treatment, she advised how to properly clean my ears to prevent build up in the future. My exam lasted about 30 minutes - I was in and out and very pleased. Their claim was that they provide much better service, repair, warranty, etc. Their claim was BS. The hearing aid worked great for about a year and when they started acting weird I called to make an appointment for their great follow up service, they were booked out around 2 months. They contacted me a day or two before my appointment to reschedule, again another two months out. They rescheduled that appointment also. Ultimately it took over six months to ge an appointment. They performed some software updates and changes to the programming to see if that helped. It did not. So I called for another appointment. I called and left a message 5 times over 3 weeks before they finally called me back to schedule. Now they are sending my hearing aids back to the manufacturer for service and I received loaner hearing aids that are 3 or 4 generations back. Their top notch service, repair, and support, doesn't exist. Go to Costco and get a similar set of hearing aids for around 20% of the price.

At 58 minutes I finally saw the Dr who spent a total of 7 minutes telling me there was nothing to be done about my hearing loss. That didn't match up with what my referring ENT Doc said so I will go elsewhere. The first floor of the office is nice. The second floor is almost 3rd world, all plastic and metal furniture and vinyl floor. And the staff break room is right next to the waiting area. For 55+ minutes I got to hear all about the health and family problems of the staff.

She just told me to wait until a follow up session if the liquid is not gone by itself. She was too good to even look into my ear. Called them couple of days later that I have a very severe pain in my ear and need help that to my surprise Dr. Maw said "she is not a pain specialist and I should go to ER" where I was shocked because I was there in their office couple days ago and she didn't even bother to seriously check what's wrong. So I decided to go to a different ENT and move on, but I started seeing bunch of charges to my insurance for exactly "Series of hearing tests" which they have never performed. This was very concerning as I was dealing with pain and discomfort and all they could care was just to see me as an opportunity to over charge and make money. They will attempt to send charges to your insurance for things they've never done. They will also try to conduct unnecessary tests without your permission to maximize what they can get from your medical insurance. Make sure to ask for the code they will or going to charge your insurance with and also ask them for what operation the code is for. Be very careful when you provide your personal information with them. Dr. Maw didn't even know to check and see if there is a blockage in between of my ear, nose or throat that other ENTs would do if you have the same problem as mine (liquid being stuck behind eardrum) during your first visit as their general exam under something like exam using a scope (endoscope) of the inside of the nose or sinuses. If you really care to see a doctor who would care about you, this is not the right place and Dr. Maw is not a doctor to care about you.
