When i tell u these guys put passion and experience into their work its amazing. You be surprise of what u learn and how a real alignment is supposed to be done. I spent quality money on extrodinary work. I have 22in wheels and on one of my wheels the bolt was bad, it wasnt flexing well he replaced it with a $15 bolt. It was worth it to be done correctly. He inspected each wheel and i mean inspector gadget like ok. I spent $126 for the entire alignment and it was worth it. Richards is by far the best, better than any other shop or dealership in my opinion.

    Alignment in progress.

Had our van aligned at Richard's. First-class operation. A 2012 van that we bought used, Richard said it was the first time the van had been aligned. There were plastic bushings on the front end that were original to when the van was built. Richard also noted unusual tire wear on the front end, and said the van definitely needed an alignment. His son checked all four tire pressures and adjusted them as needed. The van drove smooth as silk when they were done. I'll definitely go back to Richard's when it's time for another alignment. Tip: get there early because it's a busy shop.

I like how they are upfront with you, no bs and no shady work like other alignment shops in town like the one in Rivers ave and St James. Will come back again as your customer. An alignment shop like this is hard to find.

Richard's is the best place to have brake work done and alignment. They are honest and fair price. They will not do work that isn't needed.

My oil pan gasket leaks a ton of oil, and when I took it back to get it fixed, they blamed the leak on my oil pressure sending unit. When I got the car home, I cleaned all the oil off and the only leak was from the rear of the oil pan. The transmission work I had done they completely messed up. I had the bellhousing replaced, clutch fork replaced, and some other stuff. Recently, I noticed my clutch pedal feeling very heavy and my transmission started grinding when I shift. I pulled the transmission and found that Edwards hadn't put all the fluid that leaked out when they pulled the transmission. There was only 1.5 quarts, when there should be 3 quarts. And to top it all off, none of the bolts for my clutch where tight. Some were hand tight. Because of Edwards, my transmission is destroyed and I have had to replace it myself, and my clutch which was $1,000, is potentially destroyed. Do NOT take your car here

When I picked up my car, my emergency brake no longer worked -- technician failed to properly restore the vehicle to safe working condition. I will NEVER AGAIN allow Edwards Automotive to touch my vehicle for any reason. I really…read moredidn't want to take my Mercedes to a Meineke or Jiffy Lube, but I also didn't want to go to the M-B dealership. So, I searched on Yelp and found this place. I called and made an appointment and they got me in on the same day. I was about 30 mins late for my appt, so I just left my vehicle with them, and came back to pick it up later. The ladies working in the office were very friendly, and so were the mechanics. I liked the fact that they did exactly what they said they would do, for the price they quoted. The shop is very clean. They did a good job and I thought the prices were reasonable for Mercedes service. The actual shop (and office) is in another building behind the building that has the TItlemax sign on it.

Yesterday (8/6) I called the office in the afternoon to see if both vehicles would be ready. I was told that both would be complete by the following morning at 8am. I informed the shop that I would arrive at 8am on Friday (8/7) to pick both cars up. When I arrived, I was immediately informed that the 530i was not ready. I waited ten minutes for the owner, Peter, to arrive to discuss the matter. He told me that "the wrong part came in" and that's why my car was not ready. I explained to him that I had a discussion with the office assistant, yesterday, and was informed that both cars would be ready so that I could pick them up. He said, "it was a communication break down." I explained to Peter that I drove 40 minutes from Sullivan's Island (and paid for transportation to get there) and that I wasn't going to drive back to Sullivan's and come all the way back out to Summerville because his office failed to notify me of the delay. I told him he could complete the work and bring my vehicle to me when they were finished. He refused that option. I told him I'd be willing to let him finish the work but that I expected some flexibility on the rate based on the severe inconvenience. He denied that option as well. He went on to say that he "drives from West Ashley everyday" as if somehow that's relevant to the situation. I went on to explain that this has been a major inconvenience but received no sympathy or offer to propose a solution at all. The communication was ineffective and the owner has no accountability for his people or wasting his customers' time and money. This shop was recommended because they are supposed to do good work at a reasonable rate. In discussing the job with Peter earlier in the week, I asked him if they had any flexibility on the rate due to the fact that I had two cars with him. He told me that he didn't and that there was "no mark up on the part (a thermostat for the BMW 530i). The part was quoted at $100 and found it on the internet for $58. The issues with this shop are the following: - They are not accountable when they make a mistake that causes a customer time and money - There is a mark up on parts (which I would be fine with if they were honest) and they tell customers that there is no mark up I can't recommend this business as a result. I would be better suited to pay a premium closer to town as a result of the massive inconvenience and parts mark-up that they try to mask. I explained to Peter that I was going to post a review as a result of this unfortunate experience. He responded by saying, "that's ok, we get plenty of good reviews."
