First of all the team at Regency gave me a quote and got me set up for service in a very timely manner! From the gentleman quoting the cost to the ladies at the front everyone was friendly and personable. The quote given for the scratch on my Fiat was beyond fair. I had checked out a few other locations just to get an idea and regency not only got the best reviews but they were closest to my apartment and they had the most fair pricing. I scheduled to drop my car off first thing Tuesday morning and the work was done and ready for pick up barely two days later. The turn around time was impressive and I was grateful being its my only form of transportation. Now for the work... you would never know my car was scratched. I have a very unique mint color fiat and I was nervous but it looks absolutely flawless. What really blew me away was the fact the detailed the outside and inside of the vehicle which I didn't expect. Unfortunately, I hit a deer and the front passenger side corner was damaged. I took my car to two different places only to be told that they could not even give me an estimate until the following week. Regency Collision was one of the companies my insurance company had on their selected list, meaning that my insurance company recommended them and would guarantee their work. I took my car here and I did not have an appointment but they dropped what they were doing to assess my damages. They ordered the parts and called me when the parts were in. I had my car back within 4 working days. This amazed me because once they took the bumper off, they found additional parts were needed and had to order more parts. I had my car towed to Regency after a wreck and they were extremely accommodating through the whole process. I decided not to repair my car (very old, time for a new one!) and they did not charge me for leaving it at their collision center until I had a buyer that could pick it up. This is the most professional body shop in the Charleston area. I had to have my bumper replaced. They arranged it so they had the bumper ready and I just waited while they replaced it. No need for a rental car. The price was very fair and very competitive. I can't tell you how wonderful they are to deal with. Everyone in the entire place has a smile on their face. James the GM is professional and has created an amazing environment and is genuinely a nice person. To top it off he is one of our veterans. Vanessa at the front desk is so knowledgeable and helpful. They said I'd have the car back in 5 days, and I finally got it back in 30 !! I had to get the insurance company to go back out and look at the car - I couldn't believe my eyes. The adjuster even called to tell me that one of the parts he included in the estimate was not correct and the correct part would cost less. I've waited a while to write this review, hoping to see some improvement in communications, but nothing has changed. My wife dropped her car here for a repair estimate after being rear-ended. Appointment was made by the other drivers insurance, who claimed responsibility. We dropped it off on a Monday, and didn't get a return call until Wednesday morning, when they called to say that they could repair it rather than total the car out. However, a second call came in later, which said that after removing the damaged panels, they found more damage, and so the car would probably have to be totaled. We haven't heard from them since, but the other persons insurance has called us and asked us when we'd be emptying our contents out of the car. That was our first notice that the car was going to be officially totaled. In the meantime, and almost on a daily basis, we've been getting phone calls from Enterprise Rental Car company right next to the repair center, asking us if we'd like to take a look at their used car lot to buy a new car, even before we knew that our car was totaled! The Enterprise people were very persistent and it would've been nice to know the status of our car before someone else tried selling us one. Seems like they have a little relationship with the collision center that could almost be perceived as inappropriate sales tactics. Either way, I won't recommend this location to anyone. read more

I was rear ended and my car had to be towed. I had heard about Regency from a friend and so many had my car taken in there. From the day they got it, they were super nice and super helpful. I had to decide which insurance to file my claim with and they work with both but told me which one was faster to respond. When they did the estimate it became apparent that my car was totaled. They were very quick and thorough in getting the adjuster for totaled vehicles there and the paperwork signed off. They tried to rescue a few things from my trunk (bye bye boogie board) and even removed and straightened out my alumni license plate frame. They were very helpful when I was dealing with a lot. read more

These guys lack integrity. They originally quoted me an estimated I was scheduled to pay and arranged with State Farm to bill directly and increased the bill 5x and didn't complete all the repairs and utilized the wrong parts. Absolutely, don't utilize these folks. If I had more time...I'd picket out front. Stay away from Mike and the team!!! read more

I was referred to regency collision to have a simple plastic trim piece stripped and repainted. The gentleman named James reluctantly came out from his office, looked at the item for about 5 seconds and decided it wasn't worth his time to paint it and made up some excuse as to why he couldn't (or wouldn't do it) and sent me to their paint supplier instead to get suggestions on how to do it myself. The employee at Sherwin-Williams called James and he gave more BS excuses why he didn't want to do it (it was on speaker phone). I don't have the time let alone a paint booth or other supplies to do this....which is why I went to a professional to have this job done. If the laziness James showed that day is any indication of the work they do at regency, I wouldn't trust the to do any work on my car. It appears they simply want to deal with insurance claims and won't touch anything they can't overcharge for read more

Mike needs to learn customer service skills. He has such a nasty attitude! I was calling to see about getting my car looked at again because they did a horrible job and he didn't care to address the issue. I filed a claim with USAA to have my car fixed. My parents recommended Regency and that's the only reason why I went. I should have trusted my gut and the bad reviews I read on the internet. They are spot on! No idea how they have such fantastic reviews otherwise (must be friends and family). So... I called today because my car is making this awful noise. It's WORSE than when I dropped it off to them. I don't want to drive it right now, it's that bad. The noise was there before (not as bad as it is right now) and unfortunately, if I had Mike's nasty attitude talk to me or my father the way he did today, when it was first addressed, they wouldn't have gotten the claim money or my business. Nor, did my father relay the message to me of how they wouldn't be able to fix it because I would have gone elsewhere. Mike kept telling me it has to do with something I hit because there is this "huge gash in my tire and hubcap." --- Umm, I hit nothing. There is a mark on my hubcap and there is not a huge gash in/on my tire. There is a scrap on the top of my hubcap and that's it. Also when I asked why he asked for more money from my insurance if he did nothing but fix the exterior of it (not $2000 worth!!) he said it was for the rear. Are you serious? The claim was filed with damage to my front left side of my car. Most of the damage was in the front! Why you're messing around and adding more money for the rear is beyond me! There was a small dent on the rear lower bumper and I thought, well, if I have to take it in, I might as well get that taken care of. It was on my bumper! My father told me how you popped it out the same day he talked to you. In fact, he drove it back to my house before it had to be taken in and I saw it popped back out and fixed! Way before you all touched the car for repairs.....SO..... No reason to still be "fixing" back there for more money from the insurance company! I told Mike there was no reason to be messing with the rear. When I told him that, he said I should have brought it in and told him that instead of my dad with this nasty tone. WHAT THE.... My parents help me, as I am a single parent and when I decided to take my car in, they helped with transportation to get it there, while I WORKED. A concept, Mike needs more respect with. You should have focused more on my front. And the thing is, just because you put a fog light back together and add a semi-alright paint job, doesn't mean your work wasn't shady because it was and is! Not worth the cost that's for sure. And my car is worse off! When I called because the noise is horrible now and it got worse after you all touched it. Mike, told me to take it up with USAA (which I did) if I have a problem with it. REGENCY GOT THEIR MONEY so he has no time to make things right. CROOKS! And Mike is rude! This review is for the other people. RUN! They are rude, shady, and shouldn't have any insurance company work with them! read more
