Stephen came out and did a great job with recommendations and providing some ideas on best shades for some of the windows. Took no more than 3-4 weeks before Goldy called and said my shades were in and they were looking for an appt to install. It was unprofessional behavior but we agreed to the extra 1700.00 error. We received another estimate for all doors. We told Castle Windows and Doors to go ahead. Our deposit check had been cashed. Two days went by, we received another phone call. To add another 7000.00 to the final estimate. They had made another error. This company and their product deserve a 5 out of 5 star from start to finish. We had interviewed a couple of local companies to install five electric blinds (Four in the Family Room, One in the Bedroom). Both local companies showcased a nice product, they were very professional, their stories of being a family run business in the area was assuring and their pricing was on par to what we expected. What separates Southern Blinds of Jupiter from their competition were three key factors: 1) Price was less with a stunning quality; 2) The estimator was also going to be the installer; The Estimator/Installer picked up on some key points missed by their competition--one being we had a slider in our bedroom that had a handle and he identified that the roller should roll outwards from the top to clear that handle--which the previous estimator, missed. We opted for semi-transparent (level 1) shades in the family Room and opaque (3) for our Bedroom--we did not need total blackout in the Bedroom. These units are very quiet, sleek in design and most importantly, effective. The installation was so perfectly pre-measured, no tweeking was required on-site. So far we have not needed to charge any of these units (twice a year is the product specs of general usage). What impressed me about the charging is the magnetic coupling, of the power cord, like an Apple device, making it simple and easy, as long as there are AC outlets within 10' of the units, which we have. In addition, I was more impressed with the remote unit to control the blinds and there's an option I will explore later to integrate this controller with Alexa, which requires a centralized wireless hub. As a tech guru by trade, I am obsessed with automation, and this is a five out of five product installation. When the installer arrived, with a helper to unload the products, the helper was no longer needed left. I was impressed at how quickly and expertly the installed completed everything in addition to showing us the operation of the controller and its capabilities. I thought this was going to take a few hours but he was out within the hour, no mess or clean-up and we never needed any follow-up. Impressive! These blinds are beautiful, effective and so sophisticated it is like watching moving art. I would highly recommend this outfit to anyone interested in converting over to electric blinds.

I was able to get all the needed paperwork/permits completed for my condo association and the county, easily. I'm so happy I chose them to do the job of replacing our old metal coverings with brand new hurricane shutters. This included removing all the old original metal framework, plexiglass sliders and screens. They are the local retailer at all local Home Depots or you can hire them directly by calling them which is what I did. Home Depot has a sample shutter in stores so you can see the quality and material in person. Everything is made in house in their downtown facility which was reassuring that they know what they are doing! I highly recommend them for any of your hurricane shutter needs!
