My neighbor had been very satisfied with Window and Door Design. Because of this and also because they are a local company, we contacted them for our hurricane window installation. The salesman met us at our home and offered several options. That's when the strangeness began. He never sent us an estimate. When I called the office I was promised a return call, which never came. I went to the showroom to try to speak with someone. He said that they were not sure if they could install windows in our lanai due to Palm Beach permit issues. I informed him that they had installed my neighbor's windows with no problem. He told me that he would get back to me shortly with the estimate. It never came. I called them about a week later and told him that several other companies have installed in our development. His reply was "Why don't you just call them." I was shocked. They strung us along for about 3 weeks. They passed on an over $40,000 job. Suffice to say, we went with another company which was simply terrific. Our windows are perfect and there was NO problem with Palm Beach County permits. I'm not sure how they stay in business. read more

Blatant, unabated and inexcusable customer service that go's from one employee to another like the handoff of a baton at a relay race. New windows and doors are a major investment. Ours were installed approximately six years ago by Palm Beach Window and Door who is now the Window and Door Design Center. We had a number of issues with the windows and doors; none greater or more pressing than rain water seeping through a double door in our master bedroom. The seeping water began warping our solid plank mahogany floor. I placed four calls to Alicia over a ten day period to arrange a site visit. My calls went unreturned. When I finally did speak to Alicia, she directed me to speak to another contact who made a false and baseless claim that I was suing them. Upon hearing this, I then escalated the matter by speaking to the company controller who resolved their misunderstanding and arranged the site visit. The technician recommended new door locks and seals and advised I would have the quote in days. As days passed with no quote, I found myself calling again the Window and Door Design Center. I was then again told I would have the quote within days, however, the quote never came. I then called and left a message for the controller, who never returned my call. If you have the desire to chase people around after the sale or have a company that leaves you high and dry when your home is wet, these folks may be right for you. What you should know is some companies doing window and doors sales and installation do not work on product they didn't install, which creates a significant problem when the company you did buy from intentionally shafts you. read more

My experience with Window and Door Design Center was great! Great product and great price too. (I had 5 quotes from different companies.) The salesman David was great he explained everything and was no pressure. The guy who came a few days later and took the exact measurements of the openings was excellent. The installers JR, Jason and Gilmar were the best. They kept the dust down to a minimum and very carefully installed and cleaned each window/slider. They also installed an impact entry door on my garage perfectly. They did not damage anything! The project supervisor Corey called the other day as he said he would to schedule the few items that had to be finished after the inspection by the city (the fixed windows had covers to hide the screws but had to be installed after inspection). The young guy who came to install these coverings was also very good. I could not be happier. The look of my new impact windows and sliders was exactly what I was looking for. horrible company. stay as far away from them as possible. my wife and I visited their showroom on December 18th. we met with Will Glover one of their sales people for about an hour. he promised to get me a quote within 3-4 days. 10 days later I sent him an email - no response. I left a message on his cell phone - no response. a few days later I called the office to complain - they told me they couldn't find my project in the computer, but they would have Will get back to me. still no response. I called again and said I wanted another salesman. a few days later I got a text from Will saying he had my info but would have another sales rep get in touch with me - no response. called and asked for sales manager - receptionist said he was in a sales meeting but would get back to me... it's been 4 days no call back yet. This review is for Palm Beach Windows and Doors (PBWD) which, I believe is now Window and Door Design Center at the same address and telephone. I just noticed the change when I posted this review. Still, it was this company who responded to my call and earned this review. PBWD installed 3 Sentinel 150 Impact Sliding Glass Doors on my house in 2014. The doors still look nice and, while much heavier than the old standard doors, slide very smoothly and easily. Here in 2017 we are having the entire house stripped, plywood-reinforced, sealed-and-wrapped, and resided. During demolition when trying to remove the sliding door trim, we found the 3 sliders were not installed properly back in 2014. A call to the Palm Beach Windows and Doors number in my paperwork brought their Service Manager out to look at the sliders within 2 days. He acknowledged the problems with the 2014 installation and proposed several remediation measures. Given the amount of work underway now to seal and protect the entire house, and the current construction phase; removing and resetting the sliders was preferred. This option was, of course, the most involved. The Service Manager said he could not commit to this level of work without discussing it further within the company. He said, "he or someone else will call me." Well....THEY DID, and within an hour or two--not days or weeks!!!!! I am pleased to write that Palm Beach Windows and Doors is fully-standing behind their work and will be resetting the 3 sliders. I respect and understand the various actions they could have taken. I am impressed by the one they chose and their commitment to service. I awaited a call from their scheduling department to setup the work. Parts had to be ordered so it took about a week. Unfortunately, I had to turn the PBWD work crew away when the siding job inspection was "delayed". They worked around this delay and my schedule to do the work after Thanksgiving holiday. Two installers came and reset 2 of the 3 doors (the last was done the next morning) EXACTLY and cleanly the way I hoped. They took incredible care to not damage any of the newly-installed siding and trim. The temporary inside work barrier they constructed contained all of the debris and dust, including that from cutting back the tile and cement floor. The doors slide well, the locks and screen rollers were readjusted, and, the exterior caulking is clean and smooth. The outside work area was picked-up, bagged and swept. This review hopefully conveys why I am very satisfied with PBWD. I would recommend them and use them again. You may be thinking, "Well....if they'd done the job right the first time......". To that thought, I offer 2 replies. First, I hope PBWD would discuss installation alternatives with future customers. There are often several ways to do a job on most homes. The most direct or expeditious may not be the customer-preferred one for personal, aesthetic or structural reasons. Second, I would challenge any reader to deny PBWD the credit they deserve for their actions in response to my service call. They worked to address my concerns although it was 3 years after the original install of these sliders. I don't think many companies, even with "so-called warranties", would work as well with the customer to rebuild their satisfaction. Most important to me is the care they took during the re-install to meet my strict requirements to not damage my new siding work in any way. This was my experience with PBWD. I can understand where other circumstances, contract values, purely cosmetic issues, etc,. may result in a different response from them. Also, I did agree to finish the inside trim-out after the sliders were reset if PBWD finished the outside. Finally, I do believe PBWD deserves strong consideration for any window and door work. I know there are many companies in this business. Price, contract detail, quality of materials, past performance, etc., all factor in the decision. I found PBWD good before the sale. You may never have occasion to find out, but I give them high marks on service AFTER the sale. read more

Window and Door Design Center was referred to us by our contractor.We scheduled an appointment with a sales person who arrived on time, showed us brochures of the various widow and door options and prices.He was very knowledgable and his presentation was very informative.He took measurements and later mailed us a proposal and the cost of the job.We also received two quotes from 2 other companies for the same job.WDDC 's price was within our budget. We decided to to go with this company because they were highly recommended, reasonably priced, good reputation and many 5 star reviews..We are very pleased with the WDDC installation of our new impact resistant windows & doors.The installers,"G3", were amazing.They arrived 7:30 AM, set up their tools & supplies & informed us what windows or sliding doors they will install by the end of the day.Also, our project manager, Corey, came by every other day to see how the job was progressing, as well as to address any of our anxiety, issues or concerns...So, if you are looking for an established, highly reputable company, with reasonable prices for quality products, and amazing installers and project managers(Corey,"G3" Jason, J.R.,Gilmar ),these guys are the best. read more

I highly recommend to call Palm Beach window and door to all. I call the company at 9am 11/25/2014. I spoke to a lady over the phone and she told me all the agent currently unavailable and they will call me back within a few hours. Sure enough, around 1pm. I got a call back from a guy name "Gerry" he told me he would stop by the house today if I was available. Soon as he got to my house he went to take a look at the problem on my pocket sliding door and I though he was going to give me an estimate but instead he was able to fix my door within five minutes.
