zero stars!! run!!!!! i wish i was never referred to this place by someone i knew. sara tanavoli…read moreseemed nice at first, but once she worked on my mouth and literally cut my gums open to the point it was chunks missing, and literally a hole that was dug too deep and its noticeable, from what should have been a little deep cleaning, has turned into a nightmare! i have ptsd from dentist for this very reason they injure you on purpose in hopes that you will come back to continue work to fix the issues, i was completely aware of my gum issue but that has absolutely nothing to do with her literally breaking my tooth, my tooth is loose and i called to make her aware that my tooth was now loose, and my mouth is now very sensitive to hot and cold things which was never the case prior to sitting in her chair, i couldn't get a word in she became completely defensive and started blaming it on me having bone loose and gum issues, she said and i quote "maybe your tooth was loose before and you never noticed" like what the literal fk!? excuse me!? i would fkn notice if my tooth was loose and literally going to fall out! because i would have mentioned it prior! she caused this now my mouth is worse then ever! i have to find someone to fix this mess and the fact that place is so unorganized and bad with communication i wouldn't dare try to even fix this issue its no point definitely seems like a money hungry situation, she didn't even care to really hear my concerns she was more worried about trying to blame me for why my tooth was loose, or why im in pain, she said i need gum surgery well of course i do now! and i do not care, it wont be here! i would mop the ocean floor before i ever let any of those people touch my mouth again! run do not walk take all the bad reviews as a warning im upset i didn't see any reviews because i was referred and now im hearing more horror stories once i mention this dentist and office to others in person whom also went this is a nightmare i cant even enjoy eating food what quality of life is that until i get it fixed!? i hate i went here! The staff is really kind and friendly, and the office is clean. Dr. Sakhai is clearly very intelligent and skilled at the technical aspects of his job, but also understands the psychological aspect of dental care and what a patient needs to feel comfortable which can be rare to find in dental professionals. He does a great job of explaining everything he does before he does it to make sure you understand why and feel comfortable, and can explain complicated dental things in an almost educational teacher-y way. He gives space for you to ask questions. I appreciate it because it can be a little scary when someone starts working on your mouth and you have no idea what's happening. The dental assistants have a similarly nice manner of explaining things and are so lovely. It almost feels like an academic approach to medicine, as opposed to a business approach, in the sense that it feels like they are vested in getting the best medical outcome, rather than making more money or something. Dental work is never cheap, but for the level of care and trustworthiness here, the price feels more than worth it to me.

With that being said, I felt the need to post about this dental practice and how uncomfortable and appalled I was, at witnessing something that occurred this morning. Even though it has nothing to do with the quality of care this place gives. Unless we're talking about the care toward their staff. While waiting to check out, a couple of people (mainly a man) was being extremely confrontational and rude toward a young lady that was trying to help everyone get out of there. He demanded that his mother get her stuff (I didn't hear what she needed from this office) and be checked out first. The room was full of people and the girl was doing what she could, on her own. Things escalated with the man, and he wanted to file a report against the young lady. Another lady with black hair (in a bun) and with a hunched back, gave him the forms. What I don't understand is why this other lady, I think her name was Lisa, didn't come out to help the other girl to de escalate the situation with that man? Why didn't she come out to help her with all the people waiting to leave? This man was out of line. His character was deplorable towards that girl. He had no right to act uncouth and entitled. I don't know, maybe that lady doesn't work in that department. Whatever the situation, this girl should have had a manager or supervisor come to her defense. It can be scary to deal with a person such as that heathen. At the very least, have more people working in that department so patients don't get frustrated at the wait times. I felt so bad for that girl and got upset at myself, after the fact, for not having said anything in her defense. To the girl with the black medium length hair with glasses, that had to deal with that I'll mannered man, I'm truly sorry that I didn't tell that man to calm down, and wait to be helped like the rest of us. Honestly, if I could give more than 5 stars, I would! From the very beginning, the entire team was professional, kind, and reassuring. They also offer a 10% discount for cash payments, which was very helpful financially. My procedure was in early December. I checked in at 8:30 AM for a 9:00 AM appointment. The team prepared me thoroughly, and I appreciated the guidance to wear comfortable clothes and a short-sleeve shirt. I was asleep during the procedure, and everything went smoothly with no pain. My older son picked me up around 11:30 AM and drove me home, as I wasn't allowed to drive afterward. I rested for the remainder of the day. What really stood out to me was the level of care that Dr. Bak personally called me later that afternoon to check on how I was doing and answered all my questions. He was incredibly patient and supportive. Anna was also amazing and went above and beyond in communicating with me throughout the entire process. In early February, I returned for a gum graft, and just this morning I had my final visit. Everything looks beautiful, and I can now continue treatment with my regular dentist. Once that side is complete, I'll definitely be returning to Dr. Bak to start another implant on the other side.
