My first-and last bikini wax was for my honeymoon and I remember half way through it thinking "why am I doing this to myself". The pain had my eyes tearing up- and I am a tattooed lady-not a stranger to pain. Anyway, I decided to give it a go again because the bumps from shaving are annoying as all hell. Wendy made me feel comfortable, relaxed, had great conversation to distract me and practically no pain. Not a wince, not a tear. Looking forward to being shave free this summer. I visited Bliss Nail Bar 1 on Crain Highway for acrylic overlay…read more The application felt unsafe from the start: the acrylic was placed heavily directly on my natural nail/cuticle area (no proper tip support), it hardened in a way that left my nail bed overly compressed, and my cuticle area was trimmed/nipped during the process. I've gone back twice to get them to help the issue before the infection grew. I asked for a removal of the acrylic. Instead she used the machine to sand the acrylic deeper into my skin! I asked for it to be melted off she refused and said it was all off. Which wasn't true. Within days, I developed an infection that required antibiotics. Eventually, the nail fully detached and fell off. I have photos documenting the condition before/after. Ones the nail fell off I can still see the acrylic that was left! Please note it was HER (KATHY) IDEA TO REMOVE MY REAL NAIL AND PLACE THE OVERLAY! This was not a normal side effect--it was a serious complication that affected my health and required medical treatment. I'm sharing this so others can make an informed decision and so the salon reviews its technique and sanitation/cuticle handling practices. Customer Service is terrible from this incident!!!

He also did the wrong cat eye color and had to grind it off in order to fix that. I was charged $75, $14 of which was for repairs that were not conducted. I normally pay $60 for a fill WITH design at my normal salon. I will NOT be back. I only went here today because my normal nail tech does not availability until next week and my nails were looking crazy. Also, the salon was in various states of disrepair. The furniture is cracked and looks super run down. I would not recommend coming here unless you like being overcharged.
