I stuck with my usual BLT, adding onions and pickles, and it was just as good as I remembered. I also ordered a side of potato salad, which tastes homemade and definitely doesn't seem store-bought. We grabbed a piece of cherry pie to go, although I don't have a picture because it disappeared very quickly in the car! Overall, Dot's is still an awesome little diner with great food, friendly prices, and that classic hole-in-the-wall charm that keeps me coming back. Definitely still a five-star favorite.

If I were asked how this business could avoid closing, I'd say A) Either make it an Irish Pub or change the name of the restaurant, and B) avoid saving money but reducing the more expensive ingredients (e.g. meat) and increasing inexpensive items like bread and rice (in my wife's entree). For my main dish, I had the good old standard Chicken Parmesan and was not disappointed. The chicken was well seasoned, crispy and coated in a rich marinara and a healthy done of provolone. It was served with a mountain of spaghetti dressed in a robust marinara with small chunks of vegetables that gave it the perfect blend of taste and texture. The service was excellent, friendly and humeours. My drink was never less than half full and I was checked on throughout the meal. I went to dinner with my daughter and son in law to Egberts for dinner. Service was very slow, food only mediocre, but really made me sure I would never go there again was the fact that after we finished eating we were talking and going shopping so I said I needed to run to the restroom. When I came back to the table I found out that the watress threw a fit and went running from the building saying that I ran out on the bill. She was looking for me in the parking lot. My son in law and daughter were still sitting in our booth waiting for me. I am very well know in Claremore and I was humilitated that she had acted like I was a common criminal in front of the whole place. read more

This is my family's favorite place to have dinner. The waitress we usually get is so nice and caring. She even remembers what my children like! I love the food, and my children are picky eaters, so when they clear their plates and ask for more that lets me know that the food is good! read more

The Ambiance: the reason for the two stars. The good.... They have a lot of cool stuff to look at on the wall. Both not wearing gloves and rubbing their nose then back to work on food. The general area looks dirty. The waitresses look very nice on personality but also possible ex addicts. The seat cushions at the counter were ripped and my observations behind the counter just looked dingy and dirty. The owner was waiting at the end of the counter from the time I sat down till the time I left waiting for a guy to show up for a job interview...(waitress friend) the owner wanted to leave but the waitress said he will be here... he's late because he's riding his bike. Appeared to be over an hour late when I left and the guy was not there yet. That owner has more patience than me... if someone was over an hour late to a job interview... he will be late to work with 100 excuses. Not sure what he was thinking waiting that long... seems like a lost cause on that interview. The price for an omelette is super cheap!!! $8.99. So if you're on a budget and want a little risk in life... this is your spot.
