Wednesday Morning breakfasts here. This is an "A-OK" place. With decent menu choices and good food. The dining area is not cramped, the folks eating are usually nice enough making for a good atmosphere. The staff is nice enough but very business minded which is great if that's what you want. I have never found a chatty waiter or waitress. They are just on the edge of being in a rush, of course some would call that fast service. No problems either way. Portion size is ok as well. This is definitely not a "shovel it in" or "boy I am stuffed" kind of place. I would recommend people give it a try for breakfast, see if it is your kind of place read more

My husband and I always bring our guests here for breakfast and it's always amazing food. I love the Eastern Shore omelet with pepper jack cheese. My husband likes the western omelet and the French toast. Every meal we've had is a nice size serving too. read more

Definitely a 5 star spot, especially considering the value. They turn tables fast, but don't rush you, which is hard to do - but they pull it off perfectly. Service was great and emanates that family-owned feel. Felt like I was at my grandma's kitchen table. The food is eggcelent just as the name implies. Food comes out fast, but it is really well done and looks good too. Ingredients are all really fresh, which I love! I can't stand an omelet made with frozen or canned ingredients, and you def won't find that here. I had a build your own omelet that was so good, but had bites of the hot tamale frittata, which was one of the best breakfast bites I can remember having. The hash in a breakfast spot so often tastes like an afterthought, but not here, it is a star of the show. Delicious whipped butter. Tasty homemade jams. I just couldn't find a weak point anywhere! It's so cute I just wanna pinch it! The little touches like a carafe of water for each table and the fresh preserves instead of your run of the mill jelly packet go a long way with me. We were looking for a fast and decent breakfast before starting a busy day. We stopped by here because it was very close to our hotel (a short drive). We were seated immediately and the wait staff was very quick to make sure that we got our coffees and felt comfortable with the menu. In addition to the coffee, I got the berry smoothie. It tasted strongly of bananas, which I normally don't like, but I still enjoyed the smoothie's taste overall. I had the corned beef hash with poached eggs on top and it was a lot better than I expected! The staff who brought it to our table also grabbed a bottle of Worcestershire sauce and said it was best if I added it for taste. It was a nice addition, but the best was adding the old bay seasoning available at every table. It definitely made the dish! My wife stayed with a classic American breakfast and enjoyed hers as well. Good place for a morning brunch. Its quite a bit smaller than I was expecting, but pretty good, nonetheless. I had an omlette, which was good, but nothing out of this world. Its pretty hard to make a poor omlette, but its also hard to make one unique. The roasted potatoes were good too. Not the best brunch place, but then again perhaps I am spoiled from DC brunches. I came here with friends for a Saturday brunch and ordered generic brunch food. I ordered a frittata, which was okay, and nothing special. It was bland and the wasn't mixed well with the eggs. The meat in the frittata didn't taste all that fresh either. The potato on the side was also bland and tasteless. My friend ordered a crab meat omelette, which was the blandest omelette I've ever tasted. There was not a pinch of salt or Old Bay on the omelette, which made the omelette taste funky because of the crabmeat. Boyfriend and I, after experiencing the worst service in the Annapolis area, decided to drop by for brunch on our way home. The wait: 5 minutes The service: AMAZING! So friendly and their sense of urgency is just unbelievable. The food: wow. The waffles were soft and fluffy on the inside and toasted just enough on the outside. Drool.. Then there's this berry-jam mixture thing.. It was delicious. I also had to try the Eggs Benedict. It was okay, I would've preferred more hollandaise sauce, but it was still very good. Having worked up an appetite, my girlfriend and I ventured to Eggcellence for breakfast. She co-owns a bakery and I am the cook in our household, so expectations run high. We shared four entrees and everything was superb. As we prioritize time away from work and travel, we go out of our way to find quality breakfast joints and this place met our hopes. Our server was amongst the best we have ever had; all of the staff were in high spirits; and the dishes were delicious because of quality ingredients. For all of Annapolis' architectural charm, the location did not match. But the interior layout of the restaurant made up for it, never betraying that a shopping center stretched beyond the walls. And the food it's still darn good even if it doesn't have truffle oil and pepper-jelly and all that fancy stuff. I loved this place! I got an omelette, breakfast potatoes, toast, and coffee. The omelette was one of the best I've had! Very moist and not lacking any cheese. The potatoes were flavorful and tender. Coffee was good and strong. The waitress was very kind. My only complaint is that the Pico de Gallo onto of my omelette was watery, but that's not a huge deal. Overall, great place. It was a surprisingly quaint location. My girlfriend and I stopped in for breakfast and were craving eggs, so we tried the Eggs Benedict; she had bruschetta and I had salmon. Both were fantastic, though not the best I've ever had. The service was quiet and nice, and I would definitely eat here again, but nothing about the place jumped out at me to say 'Wow this is incredible'. Connected my laptop to the WIFI (good signal) and then asked for a recommendation from the waitress. She told me that the crab hash is one of their specialties and I went with her guidance. The hash came with two poached eggs on top,with hollandaise (sp?) sauce. Lots of crab and diced potatoes as the base layer. I had a choice of toast or english muffin and went with the muffin. Used the peach and blackberry preserves on the table for the muffin. I enjoyed the house coffee with cream for a drink.I might add one other positive note, the bathroom I used to wash my hands was spotless. Despite it's odd location, tucked away in a strip mall, behind Best Buy and Safeway, we really enjoyed brunch here. My husband had Crab hash and adored it. I had scrambled eggs with pico de gallo, cheese, veggies, and jalepenos, with breakfast potatoes. The egg dish was presented (and likely cooked) in a large ramekin0; however the veggies gave off quite a bit of water, which pooled at the bottom and lessened the flavor of the dish, BUT the breakfast potatoes were AMAZING! Crispy, and cooked perfectly. My husband's said his Crab Hash was really good. We went at 130 pm on a Sunday, and the place was packed, which surprised us because they close at 2 pm. Went to brunch on a Saturday morning with two others, one of which is using a wheelchair. The place was hopping with people but the staff are efficient and we didn't have to wait long at all. The waitstaff knew to remove a chair for the wheelchair without being asked, and the location of our table was perfect for wheeling my friend's mother there. The food was great. We had the baked eggs florentine, which comes with a side of fruit and toast or English muffin. Delicious, colorful dish, and an ample serving without overdoing it. My friend's mom loved her pancakes. I really liked the blueberry compote that was on our table, instead of jelly; very fresh tasting on our English muffins. Annapolis has a lot of nice breakfast spots but parking can be an issue at some of the most popular. Eggcellence is just as good but more convenient to get in and out. I will be back! read more
