Eggcellence was excellent!! This place is tucked away in a small strip mall, off of Housley Road. From the moment we walked in, a positive atmosphere was established by the host. This was our very first visit and we had no complaints. Once we were seated, we were quickly greeted by our waiter, Jon. The menu was pretty simple. My friend ordered the build your own omelet with spinach and veggies, home fries and toast. I had the pancakes with nuts and scrambled eggs. Once the food came out (which was fairly quick), I was excited to see that I had three large pancakes. I was thinking I wouldn't finish it all but I surprised myself. The pancakes were light and fluffy. My eggs were average. They weren't the best scrambled eggs that I've ever had, but no place has better eggs than what I could cook myself. I did have to add a little salt and pepper to them. Overall, my food was delicious. I contemplated getting a cinnamon roll to go since they advertised it as homemade. Jon was super attentive and made sure to check on us regularly. We will definitely return to this spot. I just have to get that cinnamon roll. I've been thinking about it since we left. It didn't have much flavor and the English muffin was very soggy upon arrival. I added a bit of hot sauce and it got a little better. It was a good value for the amount of food it was. I ordered the steak hash, the steak was chewy, bland, and greasy. The potatoes also had zero flavor. The french toast uses low quality bread; two pieces of french toast for almost $12. It comes with nothing, no whipped cream, no potatoes, no meat. It is the most expensive cheap food I have had in a while. read more

I stopped in for breakfast by myself was sat and served right away, I got a cinnamon roll and the salmon Benedict and there was sooo much smoked salmon on it and everything was super fresh. Best Hollandaise I've had in the area. The breakfast potatoes tasted like the ones my dad makes on Sunday mornings this place is so good and you can tell they have a great relationship with all their regulars. It's also very reasonably priced for the quality $20 for coffee, large cinnamon roll and two salmon egg Benedicts with potatoes. This was a cool and quaint breakfast spot. Right off of 450 West in the shopping center where the Burlington is. It was about a 20 minute wait but it went quite fast and we were seated after about 15 minutes. The hostess was very polite and so was our server. I ordered the Crab Hash with egg whites on top instead of poached eggs, loved it. I also ordered French Toast which was not good at all. Now I am a French Toast fanatic and I left majority of it on the plate. It was lacking a lot of flavor. This place was great on a Saturday morning. I came in with the expectation that I would have to wait 10-20 minutes but to my surprise; I was seated in 2. That's right, 2 minutes! I ordered the Crab Hash (based on Yelp feedback) with two eggs over hard instead of poached. It was excellent and I throughly enjoyed myself. Eggcellence: A Breakfast Brunchery Restaurant opened quietly about 6 weeks ago next to Lemongrass Too off Housely Road and 450. So quietly in fact that I didn't even know they had opened until this week when a friend asked if we had been there yet. Breakfast dining is a favorite of mine. It's such a weekend indulgnence! We ran out first thing this morning, the first opportunity we had to give this new breakfast spot a try. The interior is light and cheery. Neutral colors with fresh Gerbera daisies on every table. It is fresh and clean and just what you would want from a breakfast/ brunch spot. They serve breakfast, brunch and lunch only. If you can't get there by 2:30PM you will be out of luck. With that said, there's much to get up early for. Classic American Brunch and Breakfast fare, all prepared with an eye to quality and homemade ingredients. Like the homemade jams and jellies, which are also available for purchase if you just didn't get enough with your breakfast. In our case we were given the mixed berry jam and the tropical fruit jam. Both were excellent (or "eggcellent" if you will!) and the perfect topper to the thick cut whole grain wheat toast. For Breakfast mains, I chose the ambiguously named Hot Tamale Frittata, which consisted of eggs, jalapenos, peppers, sausage, fresh corn in an open faced casserole and topped with pico de gallo. I loved the fresh ingredients and gentle spicy kick! The Dining partner in crime had the Marylander omelet, which consisted of crab, avocado, tomato and swiss cheese. A nice portion and both of our dishes came with home fried potatoes. The staff is definitely still learning, I ordered an espresso and our charming waitress replied, "Do we have that on the menu?" You can tell that everyone is excited about the place and trying very hard to make a good impression. Word is already out about Eggcellence. We arrived around 9AM and the restaurant was quickly filling up. By the time we left, they had opened another room which was also near capacity. This makes a great addition to the Annapolis dining scene and I can see them fast becoming a favorite for many years to come. read more

What a find! The (Home) Boss & I had a bunch of errands in Annapolis and decided to stop here for Brunch. Spoke to the Owner/Manager who was a uber-nice guy. Since it was my 1st time here, he recommended the Huevos Rancheros. Awesome! 2 (over-easy) eggs, with a black-bean sauce that was complimented by homemade salsa & guac. topped with onion & cheese. The Boss got an Apple-Cinnamon Waffle of which it did not stand a chance (and she's not a big eater). VERY friendly service!
