I came in today (5/6/26) valley location with my friend and my 10 year old son. One of the men behind the counter, not sure if he was owner or not but he asked if he could buy my son a pint of ice cream. I said yes of course and thanked him. My son was so surprised yet very thankful. I want this man to know this kind gesture and kindness meant more than he knows. Today wasn't just a normal day for us, today was the 2 year anniversary of my oldest sons passing. So that pint of ice cream was everything to my son and meant so much to him. I lived in spokane in the 80s and bought meat from eggers and it has always been top quality, i moved to seattle in the mid 90s and still come back when i come to visit to buy meat from eggers, best meats ever. read more

Not sure about all of the locations but the Valley store was Very overpriced and meats were sub par.

This location is not as good as the one up north. Very small selection at very high prices. The employees are friendly and helpful, but since they don't have a lot to sell that is kind of easy. I will note this place is always very clean and professional looking. I will note the meat I have gotten here is pretty good, but for the price I can get things that are just as good for a better price point. I am honestly surprised this location is still in business. Our family has been trading at Eggers for 50+ years! Their homemade potato sausage is one of our family traditions around the holidays and they continue year after year to make the best! We love all of their other sausages as well and their beef jerky is the best we have ever had; and we have tried many others when we were traveling. No one else comes close! During all these years we have probably tried just about everything that Eggers offers, including their deli items and special condiments. We have new additions to our family this year from Poland and so along with some of our regular purchases we picked up a jar of pickles and sauerkraut from Poland. Our new family members were so excited to have something familiar from their homeland and we all enjoyed our new found delicacy from Eggers! Staff was super helpful, knowledgeable on their products and cuts of meat, and very attentive right when we walked through the door. This is a very small shop with only a few cuts of meat but they have something for everyone from steaks, to pork chops, chicken wings, bacon (Kansas city and thick cut), and even pepperoni snack sticks that are locally sourced. Almost all of their meats are organic they just don't pay the extra fees to get the "organic" logo which is good because the prices would be even higher if that were the case. The bacon is made in house and the young gentleman working gave us some to take home and try, that was so thoughtful of him! All of their meats are locally sourced. We didn't want to spend 26.99+ per pound for steaks this trip so we decided to go with the ground beef patties and chicken wings which came to a total of $21 and we got 4 patties and about 10 wings, not a bad price it was comparable to grocery stores but I could tell a huge difference in the quality of the hamburger meat. I don't eat chicken wings so I can't speak on those but the family said they were great, they were already cooked and come frozen but we put them on the smoker and added buffalo sauce and they were fall off the bone tender. They also offer ice cream pints for $7.99 and a good variety of seasonings. We will definitely be back when we can splurge on steaks! read more

I happened to be next door at the motorcycle shop and decided to take a gander here to get some meat for the weekend. Service was friendly and they are quick about getting you what you want. They are also good with the details. When ordering a couple lbs of burger, the employee didn't lose a beat and asked if I wanted them packaged in separate 1lb wraps. They have a large assortment of meats that cover my needs and the potato salad they make is awesome. If you are looking WSU Cougar Gold cheese or Ferdinand's ice cream, they have lots of it. Just get ready to lay out the funds for those specific items. Otherwise pricing is standard for a high quality, meat specific shop. It's kept very tidy and clean inside. I really love Egger's. They have been open as long as I can remember (with William's Seafood when they were there) and my family has been going here my whole life (I'm 33 now). Having moved away from Spokane, I make sure to visit them EVERY time I'm in town for addictive pepperoni bits and pieces. Apparently they will butcher your deer for you too, because a guy brought one in from hunting when I was there last week. They meat case is always immaculate and the cuts are fresh and appetizing. Customer service is great; you always feel welcome and they're always happy to see you. Try the pepperoni ends and pieces for an amazing snack. YAY MEAT! read more

Their selection of cuts are rather small, their prices are about double that of another area butcher and the quality of the meat usually looks worse. This place is close, so I will stop by once or twice a year when I have a big steak craving and little time. I always regret it, knowing I could have gotten better for less if I only had 10 more minutes. Apparently the south hill location is the one that goes out and purchases all the meat, they keep the best for themselves and then sell whatevers left to the other locations owned by cousins. read more

Excellent pepperoni sticks as well as the service. I was on my way back to Hawaii after visiting with our daughter and excellent husband that lives in Deer Park. The female counter girl was very cheerful. I asked if the could ship it to Hawaii, unfortunately they don't do shipping. However she offered to prepare the onolicious pepperoni for me to hand carry. Fortunately the sniff dogs weren't on duty at the airport otherwise I probably would have lost the goodies to their stomachs. I shared the sticks with my local friends and they all agree that it was the best. read more

Found this place the same day that I found William's Seafood Market. They are right next door to each other which is great because you can get your fresh seafood and meat shopping out of the way with one trip! This place has awesome sausages and fresh meats. They greeted me with a sample of peperoni which was delicious and I bought some Bratwurst and breakfast links that were delicious. I am excited to go back and try more. This place is amazing! Not only is their product of exceptional quality, but every single business should model their Customer Service policies after Eggers. They are patient, and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. (Even when your 3-year-old is acting a fool) I cannot say enough great things about this store. If you have any questions about where the meat comes from, what the animals are fed, hormones, etc. they know. Right down to which farm chickens, pigs, cows are raised. It is so important these days to know what is in your food, and I am so happy to have found this shop. The added bonus is that it is locally owned. read more

I have been shopping at Egger's for about 20 years, I used to go in with my parents when I was a kid and get their little smokies, so long time customer here. My experience today was the worst customer service and certainly not expected from a reputable place that used to pride itself on the local community and customer service. I called to place an order for leg of lamb to be cut for kabobs. Estimated headcount was 30-50 with heavy appetizers so I was asking for an estimate on how much to order (in my head about 5 lbs in 1 inch cubes, just wanted confirmation from an expert). I was told to call back the next day when the owner would be there because the man on the phone just "cut the steaks" and couldn't help me identify quantity needed or take the order. Lamb for 30-50 was outside of his realm of knowledge, quote "just not my thing, call back tomorrow when my dad is in". I'm sorry, I thought I was calling to place a meat order and you work at the butcher shop... Called the local grocer same script and had no problems with placing an order and was told 5 pound 1 inch cubes is what he would recommend. read more

It is nice to walk through the door and be greeted. Home town atmosphere. You know where the meat comes from and they make all their sausage and links there. Amazing meat products. I buy 100% of my hamburger here as well as bacon. The steaks are amazing as well but a bit pricey for me. If money weren't an object I wouldn't get meat anywhere else in Spokane. The staff is always helpful and friendly.
