Just came here on a whim because I had a busy day running errands about a month ago and stopped in for brunch because I was hungry. The immediate impression was really nice atmosphere, the interior is really clean but the big windows and wooden furniture make it feel sleek modern but comfy. They have menus at the front register area where you can order with a worker or a self service kiosk if you'd prefer that too. Me and my mom both loved their sandwiches and we've gone back a couple of times since and it's been good every time. If anyone is an egg lover this is definitely the place for you. If you order a side do be prepared because they give you a lot of food compared to the skimpy sides at a lot of other places you get nowadays! Congratulations, Egghead! You're officially my husband's favorite breakfast spot in San Jose. This cafe is conveniently located near my mom's house. We stumbled upon it when we were visiting my mom when she was ill and we weren't able to leave her to get food. Door Dash to the rescue!! We later found out it is less than a mile from her house so we get food to go whenever we have a chance. Pro-tip, order directly from their website if you want to place an order to go. My husband's favorite item is the BEC sandwich (bacon, egg, and cheese). He also grabs an extra sriracha and has really enjoyed the brand they use. What we love about the restaurant is the ingredients. They are truly top-notch. Excellent bacon and tasty brioche buns. They cook the eggs perfectly. This is in a bustling strip mall. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat. Service is fast and everyone there is nice. I always get The Chic. It's a fried chicken sandwich with an egg, and the chicken is always huge. It's bigger than the bun, so I get to take a few bites of just the chicken before I eat the sandwich as a whole. The chicken has a flavor similar to Taiwanese fried chicken, and works amazingly with the egg. This is all also under $15 which is pretty good for the South Bay. For their drinks, I've tried their Kyandi and strawberry hojicha. Neither of them were anything that blew me away. They were average, not amazing, so that brings the score down a little. Overall, I'd rate this place a 8.5/10. The chicken sandwich is phenomenal, and at a great price. Sorry, this update is long overdue. Multiple visits to Egghead Sando Cafe, and every time everything has been fabulous! Food and drinks are all high quality, fresh, and delicious. That Eggy is amazing! I love all of their chicken sandwiches, and of course the tater tots are crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Yum, making me drool just thinking about everything. I've been an Egghead girly since their opening years ago. I haven't been back in so long because we don't live very close to Cupertino. Today we decided to give it another shot since we happened to be in the area. The interior is really nice compared to their older Cupertino building. The tables are spaced out well with plenty of natural lighting. The ambiance is quiet, reminiscent of a chill coffee shop. Theres a kiosk to place your order or you could likely order at the cashier as well. The B.E.C. Sandwich - This is usually my go-to order but this time it could only be described as SALTY. The taste is quite bacon forward since the thick cuts are the most prominent flavor. The bacon itself is quite salty and was overcooked in my opinion, making it tough to chew. The bread was soft but on the drier crustier side. The cheese wasn't even melted. Each bread slice was heavily saturated in ketchup and mayonnaise making it hard to enjoy the contents within the sandwich. Its safe to say, this sandwich was lackluster in both taste and texture. Tater tots - these were your standard freezer tater tots with nothing really standing out about them. The quantity was massive which I appreciated for the price. Restroom is code protected. There is no water fountain or water dispenser so that could help improve this location. Our experience was quite disappointing because it seems like the quality has gone down significantly. Stopped by here after a hike for some late breakfast/early lunch. The people who work here seemed nice. Our egg sandwiches were ready in about 10 minutes and were served nice and warm. The place is super cute, decorated nicely. Unfortunately, it was really in need of a cleaning- lots of crumbs and various detritus on the floors and most tables really needed a wipe down. The sandwiches were alright; I liked the way the eggs were cooked and the bread was soft. My husband felt like they were an upscale egg McMuffin, which is not a bad thing, but they were a lot more expensive than fast food. Overall not great, but not terrible. I didn't get a photo of the boyfriend's breakfast sandwich because wolfed it down before I could take a photo, but he said it was delicious and messy and ended up having to eat it with a fork. I got the salad option which was an egg with cheese and bacon on a bed of arugula. It's kind of like a breakfast salad! It was really delicious and came with a balsamic kind of vinaigrette. With getting the healthier option, I also had to get an order of waffle fries (which he helped me with after eating his whole breakfast sandwich in two minutes!). I also got the green tea with juice which was good, though I probably should have gotten the zero sugar option since it was a little sweet for me. This cafe is located in a large shopping center so there's lots of parking. It's a small cafe with limited indoor seating but there is outdoor seating as well. The ambiance is very casual. You can order at the register or on a kiosk. You can customize all their sandwiches. They have lots of add ons, for a price of course. For example, a $1 to add on a slice of tomato. I tried their scramble sandwich, which is vegetarian. It came out very fast but unfortunately it was lukewarm. So much so that the cheddar cheese didn't even fully melt. Food was ok, but service was horrible even when there were no other customers early in the morning.

We were looking for a breakfast place in the area, and this sounded good. But, unfortunately, the customer service was lacking and we did not like the hidden fees. What turned me off was when I paid, it defaulted to a minimum 10% tip unless you put a "custom" tip to take it off. On top of that, after I placed an order I found out they charge an $0.80 "Operating Fee". No employee acknowledged me at all, I paid and checked out myself, and it still defaulted a tip and an operating fee? We ordered at 10:20AM and it estimated our order was going to be ready at 10:33AM. At 10:45AM I saw my order sitting on the counter and no one had called the number. My drink wasn't there, so I stood at the front to ask the barista for a status of my drink. I stood there for awhile and there were 2 baristas. Neither barista acknowledged me standing there. Eventually, a woman from the back kitchen came to the front and started checking on the people standing waiting for their order. I was still waiting and my drink Eventually was called at 10:50AM. Don't rely on the text notifications to let you know when your order is ready. It let me know at 11:19AM after we had finished and left that my order was ready. We ordered: -The Scramble: this was good, soft, and was better with extra sriracha. There was barely any chibes in my Egg. - Breakfast Burger: this was okay: watch out as it is a little messy with the oozing egg and my husband said it didn't have much flavor so he had to add a lot of ketchup - Matcha Coffee Latte with Boba 50%Sweet No Ice: there was no gap at the top and the boba was soft and chewy. Overall, the food was okay, but took way too long to come out and cold by the time we received it. There was a lack of communication between staff and customers and customer service leaves much to be desired. The minimum tip and hidden operating fee left a bad taste in my mouth, especially since this is not a sit-down type restaurant with service. read more

When I arrived, it was packed with a long line, and it wasn't ready until 12:20; I saw they were understaffed unfortunately as they didn't have enough workers there to handle the huge rush they were getting due to Fanime convention happening during that same time. The drink was okay, the tea wasn't sweet which is what I intended, but the strawberry puree was definitely sweet and a bit sour.
