This place is busy and it's very small so order your food to go but ask for salt and pepper. I went there twice. Once for breakfast and then lunch the next day. I got the Uncle Henry's farmers breakfast. No flavor in the biscuits and gravy. Very little sausage. I was really looking forward to that as the reviews were good for that . The waitress suggested that the Crabbywitch ( melted crab sandwich) was really good so I went back for that. The sandwich was amazing. Lots of sweet crab. The only downside is they don't have French fries. It took over an hour for my to go order. They told me 45 minutes. But the sandwich was worth the wait. I did ask for salt and pepper. read more

Super cute little cafe in downtown of Fort Braggs. Me and my hubby came here for a little weekend getaway and were pleasantly surprised about this cafe! The theme of wizard of oz is super cute and I loved how they based their dishes around it. Love love love! Service: The staff is the friendliest and most professional staff I've seen in a long time. This place is small and expect an line/wait when you get here. But it's worth it! Food: There was so much great option that I wanted to try! I ended up having the biscuit and gravy and I loved it! The homemade biscuit was definitely the star of the dish. My hubby got their burger and I loved that as well. Honestly I don't think you can go wrong with whatever dish you pick. February 27/2022: during Covid We arrived when they opened at 7 am because last time we drove by this place the restaurant was packed!! So when we arrived there were plenty of seats on a Sunday morning. I ordered the the "housemade , chunky, corn beef not-hash" , plate. The food was good if your an egg fan. As for the service, we ordered coffee and kept getting refills constantly which is good customer service. My plate: the potatoes were crisped too my liking. The beef was portioned rather well. I enjoyed the beefs textured but I'm not sure if I'd ordered it again because I'd want to try out the many other entrees they have. Overall I do like this place and I highly suggest coming early if you want to get seated right away. If you need to use the restroom you need to let the staff know and they'll Direct you on what to do. read more

What an adorable little place with the friendliest staff. You walk in and you are transported to the Land of Oz as there are Wizard of Oz references everywhere. Turns out the name Egghead has nothing to do with Oz. Lol it was just the name of the restaurant before the next owner bought it. There's your fun fact of the day. We lucked out and got seated pretty quick. It's a small place with tables on one side and booths on the other. Our drink orders were taken as soon as we sat and brought out soon after. They come by every few minutes with a lot of coffee and ask if you want a refill. Perfect for all the coffee lovers out there. I ordered the wizard Benedict with avocado and tomato and my husband ordered the omelette with mushrooms. Sorry, can't remember the name. Most of the menu items have cute names associated with the Wizard of Oz and they will give you a sample of the special hollandaise sauce which has tequila, lime, and cilantro. It was interesting. Not my favorite but they do have regular hollandaise sauce for those not as adventurous. Our meals came out loaded with food on fancy paper plates. One side was full of crispy flavorful potatoes and the side had my eggs Benedict. So yummy! My husband's plate was full of the same potatoes and a huge omelette. Both plates had a slice of pineapple in the corner. Everything was tasty. I highly recommend this little place. Come early but don't be surprised if you have to wait. A little side note: the people complaining about the prices of the crab have obviously never gone crabbing and know how much work is involved. read more

Truly incredible tiny spot in Ft. Bragg. My husband's favorite. The service, food cozy ambiance is FANTASTIC! The crab omelettes and sauces are really scrumptious. Small family atmosphere. Very tight in space, place was packed but worth the wait to be seated. The employees were very friendly and hard working. I ordered the Deluxe French toast which was absolutely amazing. It came with fruit on top of the French toast with a side of yogurt. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito, he loved it. Last meal of our Mendocino trip. It was super busy even on a Monday morning but the wait wasn't too bad. There was one guy who seemed to be doing everything front of house (acting as host to provide buzzers/seat people and be the waiter) and managed to juggle it all quite well. He was super friendly and nice. You can get a free small OJ with Yelp check-in, and it was so sweet and good with some pulp the way I like. Wished I had a bigger glass! The bf and I both got specials. I had the Glinda's crab and garlic omelette while the bf had Dorothy's Revenge which was a crab egg Benedict. There was a good amount of crab in both. I really loved the champagne hollandaise sauce both came with. Hollandaise can sometimes be too thick or rich for my taste and overwhelm the dish but this seemed nice and light, basically perfect! I could happily have had even more haha. The food did take a while to come out which wasn't surprising since it was so busy and it seemed like there wasn't that much staff but it was worth the wait. I was a little tempted to give this place a lower rating as I really would expect nicer facilities from a place where four egg and potatoes laden breakfasts with coffee run up a bill over $100. I got the Benedict with crab on it but added a little pepper jack, it was heavenly! My fiancé got a wicked Benedict but subbed out a few things to make it vegetarian she couldn't stop talking about the hollandaise with cilantro for at least a week and I'm not exaggerating.
