Came here on a Friday evening with my fiancé. We enjoyed the outdoor patio scenery area but waited quite a while for a waiter to get to us even though it was a slow day. And then the food took a while to come out as well. Definitely on the pricey side for food and drinks. I got a lasagna and my fiance got a filet mignon. Lasagna was good but there was a strand of hair stuck in the cheese on the bread. We just didn't eat that toast. Filet was a bit dry. Nice bathrooms.

Heard about this place when we stopped off at a winery on our way to Fort Bragg. The Happy House was strongly recommend, so we went (we ended up going twice during our stay and would have gone again if we were staying longer)! We really enjoyed everything we ordered !! The black magic Mojito was defined. The most unique one I've ever had brussels sprouts were a surprise and cooked perfectly really enjoyed the Caesar salad salad, the pizza, and calamari! The view was great!

The food was amazing. The service was excellent. The outdoor seating was comfortable with the heaters and the view was beautiful. Our waitress was attentive and efficient.

Had brunch here this morning. Loved their Eggs Benedict with Salmon! The eggs were cooked perfectly and the layers of mushroom, spinach and hollandaise were delicious! I also enjoyed their mocktail made with blood orange juice and ginger ale. They topped the drink with freeze dried cranberries! Nice touch! The yacht harbor view was great too!

If you don't mind spending a little more cash then come here. Great view of the harbor which is filled with seals, boats and kayakers. The view is amazing. The food is too notch as well. I got the brunch menu and had the breakfast quesadilla which was packed with heavenly fresh ingredients. The food came out super hot and amazing. The alcoholic drinks you can for brunch were also mind blowing. I got the Long Island Iced Coffee which whoa, this saved my life after the day before being my birthday. I also got the Orange Blossom Coffee which is not going to be a staple in my house after being sooooo good.

Harbor View Bistro & Bar - Breakfast Review Another amazing morning at Harbor View Bistro & Bar. The breakfast here continues to impress every single time. The food is consistently excellent--fresh, flavorful, and served hot. The service is top-notch as well; the staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel genuinely welcome. And of course, the views... absolutely unbeatable. Enjoying a great meal while overlooking the harbor is hard to beat and adds something special to the whole experience. I truly can't recommend this eatery enough. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Harbor View Bistro & Bar should be at the top of your list for a fantastic breakfast. Very dog friendly!

HarborView is a great spot in the Fort Bragg's area to enjoy a nice dinner. It was a bit difficult to find from the main road but I loved that the patio overlooks the harbor. They offer everything from lunch, happy hour, and dinner. We didn't have a reservation but had no difficulties getting seated inside. We started with the Rose Lemon Drop and Honeybee French 75. Which they were both on the acidic side, the flavors were good and balanced. I loved the presentation of my martini! I later also got the Candy Cap Old Fashioned which tasted like your standard Old Fashioned (note the branded ice cube though!). For food, we shared the Fresh Crab Cakes on special and the Gnocchi Alfredo. The Crab Cakes were fresh and came with a mango sauce and slaw. The Gnocchi dish was very large and had good flavor from the sauce, mushrooms, and meat. This was certainly perfect to share! My only note was that servers could be more attentive. It took some time before being checked in on, water glasses fell empty, and we asked for bread to pair with the pasta that never came. The staff was very kind upon interaction but slow otherwise.

Best hot toddy I've ever had. Come here every year. Always a beautiful view. Giving it five stars and I haven't even had my dinner yet. Staff is always kind and accommodating.

Came for my birthday - unable to secure a room so we stayed around the corner and came here for dinner - had a reservation, thankfully, got a lovely table outside with a lovely view. The food was delicious as well, thank goodness because it is a bit pricey - we enjoyed our fancy cocktails and appreciated the available blankets when a little breeze came up. When in Fort Bragg, do not miss this place!

November 6, 2024 I've been to HarborView Bistro & Bar 3 times now, and I have always been pleased with the food and service. The harbor view is an added plus. On this visit, we arrived about 1:30 after a long drive. We had to wait a few minutes at the hostess stand before we were seated. But once we were seated, service was quick and friendly. I started with one of the speciality seasonal cocktails: the Spiced Pear Martini. So good, and pretty to look at, too. For lunch I had the Avocado Quinoa Salad ($19) -- Rainbow quinoa topped with mangoes. fresh salad, feta cheese in a lemon vinaigrette set on a bed of fresh avocados. I enjoyed every bite. Fresh and delicious. This has become one of our go-to stops when we are in the Mendocino/Fort Bragg area. Definitely recommend.

Came for lunch & the food was great, the chef are amazing cooks! Only downside is the service, friendly servers just slow and don't check in on you.

everything here never ceases to delight the senses. The grounds and the structure are fabulous. The service is fantastic and the food and drinking amazing. Top marks to the mixed knowledge is for some original recipes. The eggs Benedict with salmon and mushrooms are to die for

Yes, it's a small selection but everything is very tasty and portions are large

Yes, every time I've been there there has Ben at least one vegetarian option, and possibly more. I know there is also always a fish option

After a walk along the coast and an appetite has been acquired, it is a short walk to this small fancy restaurant just off of downtown. Upon entering, there is a small initimate bar, dining area and a patio out back for "al fresco" dining. By San Francisco Bay Area city standards, it is not fancy in the luxurious, posh sense, but here, seafood is the star! First up, Oysters Rockefeller appetizer. Frankly, they could have been prepared any which way - for the oyster fan, they were fresh and delicious! The salmon was good (although a bit overcooked, the waiter didn't ask how it should be cooked). The salmon came perched atop garlic mashed potatoes that were out of this world! The scallops were so fresh and tasty and perfectly paired with polenta and farm fresh asparagus! They also feature Northern California (as in North of the San Francisco Bay Area) wines and beers, something not readily found outside Mendocino County. There was no room for dessert, guaranteeing a trip back to get the full-on meal experience! The environment is convivial. On a late May early evening, there were graduation dinners out back on the patio, an intimate shared dinner with drinks going on in the bar, and ladies who dine in the corner. Another unique aspect of this restaurant is that it is very close (as in feet away) from the Mendocino Skunk train. Diners will experience the train horn, warning signals and small tremors caused by the train chugging by at any time during their meal. There are also people working out on pedal bikes (yes *on* the tracks) to get exercise on their tour of the redwoods in Mendocino! It added to the ambience as an "only in Fort Bragg" experience! We had a great meal and will be going back!

Since no one was inviting anyone over out of Covid-Crazy-Creepy-Crawly fear, this made a lot of sense at the time. Now, our tradition has changed to going camping for the days leading up to Thanksgiving, and heading home for the big day. Nice to see family and friends, but we still enjoy that cool NorCal vibe in the forest. This past year, we tried a new spot just north of Boonville, CA, which put is pretty close to Ft. Bragg. On one of the days we were in the area, we ventured into town for a nice meal. We found Los Gallitos by chance, looking for a spot to part my truck. This was a nice little Mexican restaurant, and had all the markings of a family business. In short-- delicious food. Sometimes these small town spots can be hit or miss; this place was definitely great. The carne asada was better than the chicken, but I always think that. My youngest got a Shrimp and Pulpo cocktail that was amazing. My cheese enchiladas and Chile relleno were off the hook delicious, too. Not sure when our travels will take us back to Fort Bragg, but we will definitely stop back in here again to see our new friends.

I got the burger and the Dungeness crap melt (make sure to ask for sourdough for this - a must) - both were delicious (and the home fries were crispy and well seasoned). My partner got the flying monkeys potatoes and the Dungeness crab omelette - both were also delicious to me, but the omelette did have noticeable use of butter so I would caution future patrons who are lactose-sensitive. Interior decor was very wizard of oz themed; it adds nicely to the charm of the yellow walls and warm/inviting energy in the small dining space offered. Definitely a memorable spot. The only reason I deducted the star is for the rewards system being unclear. I had my missing transactions caught up recently, but there are small placards on each table that advertises $10 off your next meal and $10 off on your birthday after you sign up for the rewards program; however, there are no clear instructions on how to redeem your rewards without having to explicitly ask the waiters/waitresses at the restaurant. I collected sufficient points to have $10 refunded for the second meal I had, but instead, I only collected points. I suppose I would be able to catch up at the future meal, but I live so far away, I would not be able to reap the benefits unless I decided to come out here to fort Bragg during my birthday. The likelihood is low since I live in the Bay Area. I would recommend making this clear, and for the rewards system/app to include clear instructions on how to redeem points collected for the discounts.
