Great service on a Sunday night! We brought a group in late and enjoyed a wonderful meal.

The service and the restaurant were phenomenal! From being used to places filling up around dinner time, a Saturday night is not a bad night to come here! We loved the atmosphere which they have live music playing! Our server was very kind and gave us recommendations. We were able to split and share a Cesar salad and they gave two plates to share which was kind instead of one big plate and we appreciated that. I give 4/5 stars for the quality of the food only because I felt the spaghetti noodles were a little salty along with the sauce being salty. I love love love spaghetti and this was the first time I've been to an Italian restaurant and felt something was salty because I'm never one to complain. It could have been an off day but from the time we ordered to the actual dinner entrees to come took more than 20 minutes and it wasn't too crowded. Also, we ordered cannolis and the shell didn't seem crunchy/fresh but the flavor was there and the texture of the ricotta was smooth! For a couple who ordered 2 appetizers , two main entrees, one bottle of red wine , and two cannolis to share, we spent about 200 which was a little bit pricier than we usual experience at a typical Italian restaurant so just a heads up. We were in the mood for pasta/italian. Okay....I wasn't going to write a review this time because small towns and local restaurants need to survive so I didn't take any photos. I was just expecting decent. But I think what's unsettling is the price point so here is what we thought so you can make your own decision. I had a starter, the PAN SEARED DAY BOAT SCALLOPS. With this dish you get 3 scallops. I imagined typical-sized scallops but these were super small, about the size of a quarter (coin). The sauce and fennel salad tasted fine but for price I was imagining bigger. I think these were $24. The scallops were not that "fresh off the boat" taste, but edible. For price, I would say $18 at most. To be fair. The pasta with marinara was decent, but for boxed pasta and most likely canned sauce, $30 is a bit much to ask. We Asked for extra Parmesan cheese, instead of freshly shredded at the table, it came in a dish. That's more about being an Italian restaurant than cost. But to far, $20-$22, with fresh Parmesan! Not $30. We also ordered a mixed green salad, which was more like a side salad for 1. Again overpriced. The waiter said it was enough for 2 but it's not that big! Maybe 1 person eats and the 2nd person gets 2 bites. We did like the dressing. So in the end, the food was just okay (not fresh) but what made it all hard to swallow was the price point for quality ratio. Horrible experience. First they gave me extremely dirty utensils (see photos). The spaghetti carbonara was extremely salty, I took two bites and could not bring myself to take another. The waiter was kind enough to take it off my bill. My son ordered their Prime rib special, and while he enjoyed it, they gave him weird tasteless black beans instead of ranch style beans that he asked for. We also ordered mussels as an appetizer, and they served it the same time as our meals. Most of the mussels were spoiled and rancid and unfortunately I swallowed many because I had nowhere to spit them out. I am now extremely ill and have been vomiting and in the restroom all night. Terrible terrible dinner, and it's my birthday! I'll have to spend the remainder of the night in my hotel because my stomach is churning and in pain and I'm now starting to get a fever. I'm in so much pain and discomfort I'm considering going to the ER. read more

We've been coming here for decades and it's gotten progressively worse. Not sure if it's the ownership or staff but the food and service are severely lacking. They are now doing a special steak menu on Wednesday and Thursday nights so we thought we'd try that. The prime rib and ribeye were good and cooked to the right temperature although the ribeye was very thin (see picture). The bigger issue though is that the sides were atrocious. They had ranch beans listed as a side and the wait staff brought saad instead. When told it was supposed to be rach beans, he said that wasn't on the menu so I pointed it out to him. When he asked another staff member, he was told it's ranch style black beans. When they brought out the beans, they were not seasoned and tasted like they came straight out of a can. The baked potato had zero butter or anything on it and we had to ask for some. The prime rib was supposed to come with horseradish but we had to ask for it. The ribeye came with green beans that were rubbery and tasted and looked like they came out of a can. Three wait staff waited on us and it's like they weren't communicating at all. One dropped off steak knives and our dishes came with knives so we had 4 steak knives on the table. Their house wine smelled and tasted sour and awful. Luckily we swapped out for a nice cabernet. That said, we had to wait about ten minutes just to get some water. After all the mistakes, our waiter never came back. We will not be back. Some of the dishes on the menu are actually quite good, but it's very hit and miss and not worth the risk. Eat somewhere else. read more

WOW !!!! The food and the service were even better than the great reviews I'd read looking at options for making reservations. The Linguine Viareggio was absolutely fantastic!!! Shrimp and the day boat scallops were cooked to perfection, with the scallops almost melting in the mouth. The fresh basil strips topped off the very flavorful and perfectly 'light' cream pesto blend. The butternut squash lasagna too was combined with great flavors and much love in the prep! Great Thanksgiving coffee and delicious lemon-pie gelato to top it all off.... We will be returning customers with no doubt- great job Team Verona!!!!! read more

I went there with a friend. They were somewhat busy we decided we would sit at a table in the bar ordered approximately about $230 of food. The server was nice took her cocktail order brought that the only thing we ever saw the entire time we were there after about an hour. We left money for the drinks and left. When to Cucina Verona three times during our one week stay! Their pear glazed pork chop was fantastic and PERFECTLY cooked. We were there late May and it was fairly quiet, but I hear summer gets pretty busy; no problem, they also have a dining patio out back. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation. We had some of the best servers on our trip who took the time to answer outlr questions. Plan to go back one our next trip. read more

This was our first trip to Cocina Verona, both the restaurant and their store. Both places have a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant has some of the nicest staff and the food was absolutely some of the best I've ever had. We were so excited to go for the specialty mixed drinks but didn't realize they were only served at dinner. Our waiter came back after ordering our food and gave us complimentary cocktails that he made just for us! Was one of the kindest things I'd experienced on that trip. We loved the restaurant so much we went back for dinner that night. The store front has so many fun, authentic Italian imports, cheese, pastas, sauces, and their pastries were incredible! Last minute decision to have a sweet Valentine's Day dinner at cucina verona during our Mendocino getaway So lucky they were able to squeeze us in because everywhere was packed! They had a special Valentine's menu, so we ordered the lamb shank and the red Cuori in heart shapes . But honestly, our favorite were the fresh oysters So good! That was the best lamb I've had in two decades and the heart shaped pasta was as amazing as the service. They had live music to set the vibes as well. 4/5 only because we took a chance on a DoorDash. After a ridiculous day of driving on Highway 1, and losing our minds, we pulled up to our hotel that did not have a restaurant. Too tired to drive into town, the check-in gal suggested DoorDash. We looked to see what was open, and Cucina Verona was still taking orders. We ordered the chicken Parmesan and a white pizza. I walked up as a solo diner and sat at a small table in the bar area. Recommend making reservations if you're more than 1 person. Service was good! You could tell it was a little busy and hectic but I wasn't in a rush. Food had great taste! I'm picky on my carbonara- this was a little garlic heavy and you can tell they didn't incorporate the egg properly (had some chunks of egg when it should be smooth), but overall was very happy! The flavor was good (I don't mind some extra garlic), pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. My server recommended the limoncello mascarpone cake and I'm so glad I went with it! Not overly sweet, light subtle flavors. Cake was deliciously soft and pillowy. Oh and I did start with a cup of minestrone- DELICIOUS! I almost ordered another cup. The food was very disappointing I ordered the Alfredo that lacked flavor, Which is truly crazy because I picked out the slices of extremely salty pork . Had a romantic birthday dinner w/ my spouse. Friday night 7:30 reservations. Chose to sit inside after initially sitting in their heated outside patio area which had live music too. The menu had so many things that I wanted to order, but eventually we ordered Oyster Rockerfeller (which was massive) and Artichoke Bruschetta. Both were delicious. For entrees we got the Chicken Piccata and the Scallop Risotto. Once again; both were delicious and the portions were huge. We were both stuffed; but we got a Chocolate Lava Cake for dessert to go. The interior is bright wood finishes throughout and black table cloth service. Great place to enjoy a good meal with friends. After giving the menu a good look we started with a dozen Fanny Bay oysters on the half shell, half raw and half grilled. Both versions were good but my preference was raw. Next the Beet salad, this is a huge salad and our server split it beautifully three ways for our table. A good fresh mix of greens with beets and goat cheese. A nice vinagerette drizzle. Flavorful and fresh. For my entree the Veal Marsala, with mash, and a medley of sauteed veggies of squash, broccoli and carrots. An absolutely beautiful cut of veal, cooked to prefection covered in sauteed mushrooms and served over a nice mash with a rich marsala sauce. This was a great choice for dinner. The four of us came in for a Thursday dinner. We ordered Linguini Viareggio (2), Veal Marsala, and Spaghetti wi/Marinara. All of us really enjoyed our food. The prices seemed high for the pasta dishes, but since they were so well prepared we were OK with that. Portions were huge! Service was a little bit erratic. We couldn't tell if that was a kitchen issue or if the servers were stretched a bit thin. Would we come back? Yes. Came here for dinner while vacationing in Fort Bragg. While searching for restaurants pre-trip I came across a Yelp review raving about this spot so I figured why not give it a try? I had heard most food in the area was just okay, and was excited to see some high praise. After much contemplation over the vast menu, I decided on the spaghetti carbonara and my mom the veal marsala. We enjoyed the fresh complimentary bread while waiting for our food, which took about 30 minutes to come up, and felt like a lifetime since we were so hungry. At least they kept the bread coming while we waited. Both meals were pretty good portions. The spaghetti carbonara was good, though not the best I've had, I still enjoyed it and ate every bite (only because we were leaving the next day and didn't have a place for leftovers). The veal was a little tough, but the Marsala sauce and the potatoes that came with the meal were both great. Our server was friendly and eager to answer any questions about the menu. We made reservations on Yelp the evening we planned to go, and it's good we did because the restaurant became pretty full! It seemed to be a good mixture of locals in for a date night and families on vacation. We had a small birthday lunch here. Had reservations. The service was terrible and the waiter, only person on duty was over whelmed with 2 tables. Drinks took forever, I was the last person to receive my lunch. All the other people in our party were done eating. Calamari was excellent but my Italian sandwich was gut meh!
