Beautiful, fresh rhododendrons on each table in mid-June. So pretty.!
    Jenni G.

This is such a great place! Delicious food and friendly service. The chicken fried steak was the best that I have ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside, but also so tender that I could cut it with the edge of my fork. And the gravy on top was delicious! It contains bacon, which just takes it to the next level. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and the hashbrowns were perfectly crispy. I also loved the fresh rhododendrons on each table. So pretty! If I lived in Fort Bragg (and I wish I did), I would be a regular at David's, for sure!

Came here two days ago and decided to come back for seconds. It was a little busy, but plenty of tables were available. This time around, I went for the traditional bacon & eggs breakfast with hash browns and a pancake. The thick-cut bacon comes from Roundman's Smokehouse in town, and I just can't get enough of it. Nice smoky flavor and a delite to bite into. The hash browns are nothing fancy, but they didn't have to be. Loved the crispness on top and cooked fresh. The pancake was good as well. My wife's enchilada burrito was huge! She loved it all-around and said it had a small spicy kick to it. I took a bite and liked it. The chicken was nice and tender too. The servers always make you feel right at home like they've known you for years and that's refreshing. Funny story to end this: somehow I got hit in the forearm with a flying champagne cork and was told in Mexican tradition if that happens you're gonna be pregnant. LMAO So I rolled with it and said "I'll check back in nine months"

This restaurant is what I would consider a hidden gem for someone who is not from Fort Bragg! This place isn't located right out in the open so my family and I only knew about it from looking online for places to try. The restaurant is very spacious in the inside with lots of seating, both tables and counter seating. The waitresses and staff were very friendly and you can tell that there are a lot of regulars that come here which I think is a good sign. They have a nice big menu of items to try. I got the breakfast sandwich and I got it on a croissant with bacon and the seasoned red potatoes. It was so good! Very tasty personally loved the cheese they used and the bacon was cooked perfectly. The potatoes were cooked great as well and it went nicely with the coffee I got to drink. Our food came out quick and we all were satisfied and had a bit leftover. The next time I come to Fort Bragg (because it's a must) I'll be back here for breakfast again!

The portions are HUGE. We got half of the cornbeef and it was still massive. Local filled spot, staff is very friendly. Located in the shopping plaza so ample parking. Great place for breakfast, looking forward to trying lunch next time.

Best country gravy I've ever had!! My chicken fried steak breakfast plate was cleaned. We couldn't stop telling each other how good our food was. The portion were nice. Service was great and food came out quick. The owner even stopped at our table to check on us to make sure everything was good. Definitely come in for breakfast if you are in the area.

Phenomenal breakfast options. Seat yourself most of the times. Very attentive service. The ambience felt like we were at grandmas house. Many of the patrons seem to be regulars, everyone seems to know one another. If I'm in fort Bragg, I'd absolutely love to return!

    A random act of kindness.

This place was hopping! The service was excellent and the food was excellent. We went for breakfast on a Wednesday. The wait staff was very efficient. Beautiful photographs of the beach adorned the walls. My 80 year old mama and I were sitting at the table and a lovely woman walked up and ducked us! She delivered us both a yellow duck with sunglasses. She said she started out to bring sunshine to people and she had purchased a hundred of them. She is now working on her 300 bag. Thank you so much, you made our day brighter! We had been on a 3300 mile trip and your ducks now reside in WA state.

Came for breakfast and it was packed - we were worried it would take forever but the staff were so quick and efficient and FRIENDLY and got us seated within 5 minutes - and even quicker than that they brought water and took our order - our food came out within 10 minutes of ordering and it was hot and perfect and delicious - what a wonderful surprise to find this place - everything was tasty and we left with bellies full and a smile on our faces - come try this place!

Veggie omelette stuffed with a variety of healthy vegetables. A bowl of mixed fruit.

This is one of the best casual restaurants I've ever been to! The food is excellent, very fresh, creative, and portions are generous. I had a veggie omelette and I have never seen such a variety and array of colorful vegetables in any omelette! It was as delicious as it looked! I looked around at other tables to see what others were having to eat. Everything looked so good, that I wish I could come back and try all the different things that other people were having! And with some of the standard breakfasts, you get a choice of one pancake instead of toast or muffins. That's a nice touch, I've never seen that offered at other restaurants. Too bad I don't live closer or I'd be here a lot trying everything on their menu!

    Chilaquiles

First of all this restaurant was so good I went three times on my 3 day vacation for breakfast. This will always a staple while I am in Fort Brag! The owner is literally the sweetest lady I have ever met! She made sure to come over and meet my whole family and ask all of our names. The servers were the best I had the sassy waitress that has twins! (I'm terrible with names!) She made our day though I absolutely loved her! This was my 40th birthday trip! I would love to make it a tradition where every year for my birthday we go to Fort Bragg just to eat at this amazing restaurant and see these amazing people! Now the food!! My husband had Chiliquiles!! Mouth watering! My boys are picky one loves Mozzarella sticks and the other loves cheese burgers neither had a complaint and they were enough that they took them back to our room and ate them for a snack. I had scrambled eggs and toast, which was always done to perfection as well! If you're looking for AMAZING food GREAT people BELLY laughs and an AUTHENTIC CAFE feel. This is the place!! There is a reason this place ALWAYS has a line out the door!!

Fantabulous eatery! A great assortment of food choices and star service. It feels like a hometown diner with all familiar faces. The dishes were perfectly cooked and tasted like mom's kitchen. HIGHLY recommend if you are looking for a great breakfast experience!

Restaurant looks simple from outside with classic style. We not expected too much. Surprised us with everything. "Everything" was great this morning. Nothing to be fixed. Just keep how you are doing David's. Thanks all the staff this morning, you really made my day. We travelled 4 hrs all the way from Sacramento. Kind of sleepy and tired to know what to eat. I did quick google check for opened restaurants at 8am. We just randomly pick David's without reading all the good reviews already left yet. Let say: Food quality nothing to complain about. Simpy you say just egg. But taste's perfect- big portion for one person. - 2 egg omelette with bacon / veggies/ biscuits / toasts/ fruits - 5/5 Service's outstanding. As soon as walked into restaurant, we were greeted warmly by staff at the far counter. I can say they attentively noticed all guests come in. We did not have coffee this morning. But noticed that staff went around to fill up the cup for anyone has coffee! That's a great point especially for coffee lover like me . - 5/5 Great atmosphere. I like the way they decorate wall with all picture ( for sell). On each table will have fresh flower. Restroom is clean and neat. 5/5 This must be local's favorite breakfast place. Very busy but food's served hot and quick If you are around at this area, stop by. High------highly recommended. You will love David's the same i do!

We decided to eat breakfast here because they have tables outside. (We have 3 dogs) We took a bench out front not a problem. The owner said that as long as the dogs stay in the stroller we could eat inside. This made our day (it was cold outside). I love that small town community feeling. The owner, who was on the premise totally made us feel at home and welcomed the dogs. The waitress seemed to know most of the regulars. I came here looking for the biscuits and gravy. The pictures looked great. Also got a side of ham. My wife ordered a ham and cheese omelette. Her's came out stuffed with ham. I was kinda surprised considering the price of meat. But definitely a deal for price. Mine came with a plate of biscuits covered in gravy. And a nice slice of fried ham. I wish I could give them 6 stars it was the highlight of my trip to fort Bragg

It's right behind the Sea Bird lodge sign and next to Chevron. Once you found it you can't miss it. From what we can see there is no signage on the restaurant with the name on it or we totally missed it. It's not a new restaurant. It's got that homey feel to it. I'm guessing it's a mom and pop shop, a small business. And we should support those local all businesses and not hit up Dennys if we can. We waked in at 7:08an in Wednesday, May 6, 2026. The place was quiet. One others gentleman was there. When we left a party of 3 were just settling in. They have a full menu two sided that they hand out upon entry that is laminated. You are welcome to sit anywhere. We chose a window seat in the front corner. The temperature was pleasant inside and I was able to shed my heavy jacket and was comfortable in my jeans and a light sweater. They have 2 whiteboards of additional specials. We got the bacon, cheese, and bacon omelet with a side of potato's and a biscuit. You have choices of toast, pancake, or biscuit. As for potatoes you could have gotten a potato patty instead. The servings were huge. We only ate half and were full. Now we have leftovers for tomorrow's breakfast. The potatoes were real fresh potatoes. Some still had the sling on them. They were cooked on the griddle. I should have asked for mine extra crispy as I like crispy potatoes. They weren't salty or really seasoned at all so I added some salt and paired it with ketchup. Very tasty. The omelette was chuck full of crispy bacon and avocado , it could have used more cheese. The biscuit was light and flaky, but it lacked the buttery flavor. It was a true big biscuit that was home made. There was an array of jams and jellies to choose from and peanut butter. We chose apricot. Overall it was a good breakfast and I highly Reccomend this place if your hotel doesn't offer a free breakfast like ours didn't. It was also nice that we could walk over from our hotel.

We loved the atmosphere which they have live music playing! Our server was very kind and gave us recommendations. We were able to split and share a Cesar salad and they gave two plates to share which was kind instead of one big plate and we appreciated that. I give 4/5 stars for the quality of the food only because I felt the spaghetti noodles were a little salty along with the sauce being salty. I love love love spaghetti and this was the first time I've been to an Italian restaurant and felt something was salty because I'm never one to complain. It could have been an off day but from the time we ordered to the actual dinner entrees to come took more than 20 minutes and it wasn't too crowded. Also, we ordered cannolis and the shell didn't seem crunchy/fresh but the flavor was there and the texture of the ricotta was smooth! For a couple who ordered 2 appetizers , two main entrees, one bottle of red wine , and two cannolis to share, we spent about 200 which was a little bit pricier than we usual experience at a typical Italian restaurant so just a heads up. Otherwise, this is a good place for fine dining in the area with nice staff and good portion food

We were in the mood for pasta/italian. Okay....I wasn't…read moregoing to write a review this time because small towns and local restaurants need to survive so I didn't take any photos. I was just expecting decent. But I think what's unsettling is the price point so here is what we thought so you can make your own decision. I had a starter, the PAN SEARED DAY BOAT SCALLOPS. With this dish you get 3 scallops. I imagined typical-sized scallops but these were super small, about the size of a quarter (coin). The sauce and fennel salad tasted fine but for price I was imagining bigger. I think these were $24. The scallops were not that "fresh off the boat" taste, but edible. For price, I would say $18 at most. To be fair. The pasta with marinara was decent, but for boxed pasta and most likely canned sauce, $30 is a bit much to ask. We Asked for extra Parmesan cheese, instead of freshly shredded at the table, it came in a dish. That's more about being an Italian restaurant than cost. But to far, $20-$22, with fresh Parmesan! Not $30. We also ordered a mixed green salad, which was more like a side salad for 1. Again overpriced. The waiter said it was enough for 2 but it's not that big! Maybe 1 person eats and the 2nd person gets 2 bites. We did like the dressing. So in the end, the food was just okay (not fresh) but what made it all hard to swallow was the price point for quality ratio. Big city prices. $100, for 2. ;a plate of pasta, a starter, 1 salad, & 2 glasses of wine).
