Stopped by Eggholic recently and had a great experience. I don't usually eat eggs, but they have paneer options on the menu so I decided to give those a try. I ordered the paneer masala sandwich and the paneer schezwan sandwich. Both were really good and packed with flavor. The schezwan one had a nice spicy kick, but it was still really balanced and flavorful. The portions were also great for the price -- definitely filling. The staff were very friendly and happy to give recommendations, and the service was quick even though the place was fairly busy. Another plus is the space itself. There's plenty of seating inside, lots of parking since it's in a larger plaza, and they also have restrooms available. Overall, a really solid spot if you're looking for flavorful Indian-style sandwiches. I'd definitely come back to try more items on the menu. read more

My friends and I were craving for authentic Indian street food. With a quick Yelp search, we were able to find Eggholic. As soon as we arrived, parking was seamless. We were able to easily find a table inside. The ambiance itself is very welcoming and Indian themed. I liked the fact that they have a water station, it made water so accessible. The person at the counter was very sweet and helped us pick dishes. We got chicken sandwiches, vada pav, dahi puri, pav bhaji and chocolate sandwich. All the dishes came out relatively quick. The food looked really good! The dahi puri was well made and each puri was created with perfection. The spice level was on point. The vada pav was delicious but had a higher spice level. It did come with two chutneys. The sandwiches were yummy too! We definitely recommend trying the street food chaat items, they were best! The portion size was perfect. Wow! Mt son and I were out and about and wanted to try something new and interesting...so we opened up our trusty Yelp app...looked over what was nearby and settled on EggHolic. Now mind you they do have a lot of eggs on the menu, but it definitely was an Indian restaurant. My son had butter chicken (which I also wanted) but decided to go different. I had the chicken tikka masala kabob. Now when you think kebab usually you get much smaller pieces. My chicken was huge, and tender! Delicious. Finally tried this place out. Portions are actually huge. Personally i feel the bread/roti portion isnt enough to cover the gravy so get extra. Surati Ghotala: 5/5 Excellent. Must have IMO. I havent had this in India so cant speak to the authenticity of taste but whatever this was, was excellent. Would come back for this. Hum Tum - 4/5 Three gravies with multiple types of eggs. Im not a big fan of green garlic heavy gravies so didnt dig that one but the rest was great. Cheese Masala Sandwich - 5/5 Got this instead of a grilled cheese for the kid. Asked to make it leas spicy and they actually had a "kid level" spice category and it was perfect. Huge portion for kids though. For the grand opening, they gave the first 100 customers a free entree for a year (once a month). Just came to redeem for this month and was told that management decided to no longer honor this promotion. The cashier proceeded to tell me that a lot of customers were angry about this. Yeah, probably 100 ppl to be exact. While I appreciate that they ran the promotion for many months, to suddenly decide all of it is invalid is bad business. This place was tasty. But the cancellation of the promotion leaves a longer lasting negative effect than to just continue to honor the promotion. It took it from a great experience to a negative one. Great place for Mumbai street food. Food was tasty and authentic. Vada pav bread was soft and tasty. The vada was perfectly spiced. The samosa wrapper had the perfect crispy texture. Dhai Puri with its contrasting textures and flavors was a winner. The crisp shells filled with garbanzo beans, yogurt, chutney and crispy sev. My wife and I are always looking for authentic Indian restaurants and we found a jackpot! The interior is beautiful and it's in a solid location. The service was excellent and the owners themselves are greeting customers and welcoming them. Here is what we ordered. Desi Chai: can't go wrong here - it's tasty and the spices are fresh. Dahi Puri: perfectly crispy/round puris and the filling with yogurt was superb. Chaat Samosa: very well balanced and all of the flavors came together really well. Paneer Toofani: this was the highlight - the paneer texture was perfect but the sauce was even better. Truly a fantastic dish all around! Egg Kheemo: this was my wife's favorite as it was really creamy but an elevated egg dish. With a business name like EggHolic, one would expect a breakfast spot instead of Indian street food as the cuisine of choice. This growing chain featuring a selection of egg-based dishes influenced from the Indian state of Gujarat has opened its first SD area location in the Miramar neighborhood. There are already plenty of Indian restaurants in this area so it will be interesting to see how EggHolic stands out from the bunch. Parking in this strip mall was congested because of all the neighboring Indian businesses. The suite was large with the tables well-spaced apart. You order at the service counter and take a number to place at your table. A server will then bring the food/drink to you from the kitchen. The menu screens were divided into three parts representing egg, vegetarian, and chicken-based items. There was a banner behind the counter with pictures of some of the popular choices. Not being familiar with Indian street food, I asked the cashier for suggestions. She recommended the Surati Gotalo from the Eggetarian section which was shredded hard boiled eggs mixed with special house spices and topped with two sunny side up eggs. I requested no spiciness as I wasn't sure how much heat would be added at a mild level. The sauce had plenty of flavor and still left a little buzz on my tongue buds. A basket containing two pieces of roti (round flatbread) was included. I could have used double the bread to sop up the sauce on the plate. I paired this entree with a Mango Lassi for a beverage. It was one of the best versions I have tasted because of the concentrated fruit flavor. The problem was that the serving size was small for the price as noted by another reviewer. The place was busy but not overwhelming with customers during my visit. The operations seemed orderly, and my items were delivered in a reasonable time frame. I've been here several times now and it's safe to say the food is amazing!!! Truly hands down the best you can get especially if you're looking for Gujrati street food that leans towards veggie. Hence egg in their name. Lots of Indians who are vegetarian sometimes include egg in their diet so this place caters to that. So far I've had their Szechuan paneer sandwiches, dabelis, daal, chicken butter curry, paneer curry and egg curry. Very spicy all around. Super flavorful. Now, here's why it's a four star for me. Service needs to be better. It's friendly yes, but know how to put the food down as a server, don't give attitude and expect the customer to help you. When I say "completely mild" don't look at my skin and give me spicy. Don't assume I want to eat spicy all the time. I came here once with my soon to be bosses who were white and they completely mixed up the spice level. I needed it to be mild that day because I was suffering from food poisoning. My soon to be bosses who love spicy asked for spicy. And sure enough when the food came out, mine was insanely hot. I was still on that interview and didn't want to make a scene, but I sure paid for that later if you know what I mean. Also, every time I have been, service has been super slow even when there was no one in the restaurant it took more than 20 mins for a chai or mango lassi. FINALLY! San Diego finally has a great Indian food spot with authentic taste that caters only to us flavor lovers. I have had Eggholics in New Jersey and I have been a fan since then. So far we have tried Egg Pulav, Egg Malai, Egg masala, grilled toast, the omelette stuffed with more egg and it has been wonderful! My personal favorite has been the Egg Malai and Pulav. The spice level is pretty high and I recommend getting the 'mild'. My only complaint is that this is a proper sit down place/cafe setting, why can't any Indian cafe in that area have proper plates and utensils? Why add to the landfill?? All Indian cafes in that location have the same issue. Atleast Eggholic has compostable stuff. So a point to that. read more

I can no longer recommend this restaurant. They have doubled the price of some of my favorite entrees since they had their grand opening. Most notable is the Anda Masala sandwich from $7 to $12.99/13.99. The sandwich was amazing for $7, but after that price increase, I don't think it's worth it. Food and service were great! This is the first time we've had this type of Indian food. We got Samosas, the Hum Tum (kind of like an egg salad with spices) and the tandoori chicken kabob all excellent! Disclaimer- They try to bribe customers by giving them free mango lassi for a review . This is the review for several experiences at Eggoholic since they opened. I Have been going here since they open. But won't visit again unfortunately . The experience with the cashier lady (maybe Amara ? Not sure about the name ) has consistently been extremely underwhelming and frustrating. She is loud and does not know how to talk to customers. She always gave us bad looks and was rude and made us feel like we are asking her kidneys Specially when we tried to use the coupon for free entry (1 free entry every month per coupon ) that Eggoholic themselves handed out on their opening day. One day she kept arguing with me and made me pay for my entry even when I had the coupon for "free entry" and gave a sandwich free instead. Greedy attitude!! The other month I tried to order rice dish with coupon she conveniently said coupon is only for "entry dishes " not for rice or other dishes . Felt like they were trying to loot me by making me pay for the most expensive dish from my order while applying the coupon. Such place with greedy attitude is not worth spending money at. in month of May , she refused to accept the coupon and said management has stopped this offer/coupon thing, again this could be conveyed in a polite way but in fact it was almost yelled at us with a look and attitude. The other time we noticed that they did not include paratha with chole and paratha in to go order. and the list goes on... These coupons have been handed out by Eggoholic on opening day and we always order a dish or two more when we use coupon. But that lady has a rude attitude and has no politeness so far, which makes the whole experience worse. Not to mention that when they have good sandwiches, but their curries are extremely oily , spicy and feel overpriced. The attitude cashier girl serve is not reasonable given that the place serves very oily, average food . Coming to food - Pavbhaji - far away from authentic Pavbhaji taste. same goes for Vadapav- just average. curries as mentioned earlier too oily. way less quantity in to go order. overall ambience gets affected by loud music and poor choice of songs, the cashier girl and staff sometimes are too loud and we can hear their yelling/talks/chitchat all the way to the table. read more

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVES! We have been to EggHolic 5 times since it's opened. The food in incredible and the customer service is Always amazing. Arpita and the manager is always pleasant and very kind. Our family love going here. The food is very tasty, especially the sandwiches.
